The Call to Christ

Is not just to be informed but to do something about it

Did you know that in America there is 1 ordained minister for every 200 people In some parts of India there is not one Christian or missionary for 22 million

Afghanistan has 17 million people not one church Turkey 44 million people only about 200 Christians In India there are over 1 billion people over half have never heard the name Jesus

Did you know that America gets more spiritual information in 1 week that people in China and India get in 5 years

There are thousands that are lucky if they have 2 bible per congregation You know what they do They divide the bible up and give some to each family they take it home copy it then swap That is how they get there bible

Did you know that if you go to church for 6 months you are qualified to be a theologian or a missionary in many places over seas

There are 3 billion people in the world who have never heard the name Jesus

Psalm 103:15. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

16. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

The Point is are life is like grass what are we doing for eternity. You can say I am going to church I am paying my tithe whatever that is fine But what are you doing for eternity

IT is by the grace of God that Me and a lot of others have been born in the US But remeber to whom much is given much is required.

Are we sacrificing to win the world for Christ or are we caught up in fancy clothes cars things things things How much stuff do we need.

Soon very soon Time will be no more and we will no longer be here What is going to happen to all that stuff on earth.

Luke 12:34. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Maybe some of you no doubt are doing something I hope God gives you the grace to do more

Most of this was adapted from the Video Call to Christ available for 6 dollars from www.gfa.org (I also reccomend the free book Revolution in World missions)

If you are interested in helping do something for this world before your time is up visit the website or e-mail me. God bless.:)

I just started getting the GFA news magazine, and I've gotta say that I have never seen such a vibrant, uplifting publication. I cheered and wept for joy when I read almost every page. I even kept it (I usually throw away all magazines right away when I've finished reading them), so I can use it at my prayer time and as a reminder that Christianity is different outside North America.

For Valentine's Day, I'm hoping my Beloved will make a donation to GFA instead of getting me flowers or candy!

Amen to that You know I have been trying to get family to do stuff like that for Christmas and my birthday but they wont they say you have to have something for your self. It really irritates me but what can you do. God bless. :)

I just hand them the Samaritan's Purse catalog or a donation form from Christian Blind Mission or whatever and tell them that's what I want for Christmas, birthday, etc. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Joe's pretty good about it. For my birthday, he bought a Mercy Corp medical kit that will provide insulin to a teenage girl in Afghanistan, and last Christmas he paid the school tuition for a little girl in Uganda, and this Christmas, he paid for eye medicine for a whole village in Africa.

i'm am looking to be a missionary, this thread is a true blessing for me! Makes me think alot more what I might get myself into. Gods word can never be heard enough for anyone, but for some it just needs to be heard. Praise God and for those that look at this thread, don't be scared to step out and do even one or two missions for the Lord! We need to weep for souls! You Bless God <><e

Hey GodsGirl4Life, you might start with being a domestic missionary--get involved with missions right in your community and start getting experience, so that you are even more prepared when the call comes to go to fulltime missions! Then you'll really get an idea of what you are getting yourself into! :)

Yes there are lots of things that can be done to help spread the word. IF you dont already consider useing gopel tracts to make a biiger impact on your community. Also you can get involded in missions by praying for missionaries like the ones your church supports or others that you know of. MY World prayer chain always has a missionary family to pray for if you have time to stop and check it out. God bless. :)

Hey lambs love,

I have been to mexico three times.. and i am starting to get up in the morning and do door to door with the preacherswife at my church. And its just me and her so I know I am learning alot from her, she is awesome, glory be to God. I have alot to learn still for sure, but I am willing to have an open mind and I know God will show me.

Ps. if you may I would not mind your prayer, my names erica and God has also blessed me big in sports, so I have to make decision on a college ball scholarship or holding out and going to seminary first
