March for Life 2011

Normally it's a four hour drive for me (probably more since it's a Monday). I'm trying to figure out where to stay overnight since I'd like to go to St Nicholas for the services but no metro station is close and parking is not easy around there. Plus it's a Monday so traffic in DC will be awful anyways... Maybe I'll just try for Sunday vespers and then just meet up at the Mall.

My new years resolution is to do more Orthodox activities so I'll try to start up planning a bit now.

Dorothea, there wouldn't have to be an Orthodox group. Go march anyway. In our town, my priest was instrumental in getting a Christian pro-life group going again (it had pretty much been dormant for quite awhile). We have representatives from many different churches. We will have a march on the anniversary of Rowe vs. Wade, and we also stand with signs on a prominent street corner in town. During the summer, those that can meet in front of the abortion clinic with signs--again there will be people from many different churches there. You could go and march with a Nativity icon.

Also, maybe you could check with the parishes in Denver. They may plan on having some people there. Check with the OCA cathedral there.
