Thou shalt not commit adultery. And thou also shalt not use Facebook.

That's the edict from a New Jersey pastor who feels the two often go together.

The Rev. Cedric Miller said 20 couples among the 1,100 members of his Living Word Christian Fellowship Church have run into marital trouble over the last six months after a spouse connected with an ex-flame over Facebook.

So is this basically "blame Facebook, not the people involved?" Yes, delete your Facebook account. If you talk to anyone from you past over the phone, disconnect your phone. Can't they just, say, not talk to them, especially if there's any temptation there?

Thou shalt not turn nouns into verbs!

Ah yes, the good old prescriptive vs. descriptive use of grammar debate rears its head.... :)

That aside, it seems that blaming the use of technology on messed up relationships is out of place.

If someone steals a credit card and uses it to buy thousands of dollars worth of stuff, the thief is the problem, not the credit card. If someone speeds while driving, the driver's at fault, not the car. Ditto with Facebook. Or any other thing that could only POTENTIALLY be used for evil rather than for good. We're responsible for our decisions, and for the fallout that happens because of them. Absolutely nobody and nothing else.

:D

One of these days God will probably strike me down for my sense of humor: if all else fails subject them to absolute submission of "the law." Interpretation null because little children know not what they do; via 'because I said so.'

It's really not funny because people do get caught up by suffering.:sorry:

Gah, if faced with a temptation like that DO NOT feed it. Run away, IGNORE it if you must.
