Prayer for guidance, facilitation, and employment

Greetings all,

I have not been around much. Between long hours trying to keep my bills in order (not entirely successfully, I might add) and my family, I haven't really had the time or energy to spend a lot of time online.

Anyway, my current contract job is getting close to ending. I had a phone interview today for a job nearly a thousand miles away... It's a 6 month temp job, and I would have to start by Nov 1. The pay for this position, though, is nearly twice what I get normally. I could pay off most of my bills, and be back home with my family by summer.

The problem is, I can't really afford to move out there on such short notice. This is going to take a miracle. I've been in touch with the priest of an OCA Church in the area, and I've found several apartments in the area that are inexpensive and don't require credit checks. If I can make it there, I will be ok... Please pray that God blesses this move, and provides what I need.

If anyone knows the Las Vegas area, I'd love to hear from you too. Anyone have a closet they want to rent out to an itinerant technician? lol

I interviewed today with a temp company who may submit me for a position locally that pays quite well... Not as much as the 6 month gig in Las Vegas, but it's a "Permanent" FTE position with good benefits. We really need those benefits, especially the medical, with my wife's current health problems... But what if I pass on the 6 month gig, and then don't get the FTE position? ARGH! I hate contracting and having to go through this every time a contract is ends! It's so much worse now, too, than it was 10-12 years ago. I'm getting too old for this, contracting is a young man's game.

No. The only reason I applied for the position in Las Vegas was that the compensation would make it worth the move... I haven't generally been looking too far outside of the Pacific Northwest. Almost no company would help with relocation expenses for a Systems Administrator... Too many local candidates to pick from in this economy. But yea, if I found a job that I qualified for that paid 80k, even in Granbury, Texas, I'd apply for it in a heartbeat.
