Happens to the best of us, sorry to hear that.

Lonliness sucks. Its possible to be lonely at a crowd or around friends if they don't know all sides of you.

The thing that gets me through loneliness is complaining to God about it. God does not have deaf ears. If you complain to God enough, he may get you around people who can cater to your core needs. Also God is always there, its possible to get unlonely knowing the guy is always over your shoulder. Of course the problem is that he rarely talks to anyone, so it almost always feels like a one sided conversation with God.

I feel that quite alot too.. ((Hugs)) I guess the thing is for me.. is not to dwell on those thoughts too much.. but try to find something to be happy about.. Try to enjoy where I am.. or reach out to another who is feeling like me.. there are plenty around believe me.. I also talk to GOD who is with me always and then I realize I am not alone even though it feels like it.. Praying for you along with brother Allen..

Our pastor preached on that exact thing thismorning. The alter was full of people asking God to fill there lonelyness(empty spot) like the woman at the well needing to drink from the everlasting water and never thirst agin.

How close are your friends? Are they truly your friends?

You'll hear that it doesn't work to try and fill the part of the soul that needs Christ with human friendships. I agree with this. I believe that of course one should have a direct relationship with God. But to a Christian, a true friend is a person by whose love one encounters God on a regular basis. In which case, our friendships should not leave us lonely.

I would encourage you to make friends who meet those criteria. But don't leave your old friends - instead, encourage them by being that example of Christian love to them.

Weird I never really feel lonely. My desire for a significant other or friend just kind of got extinguished these last few years. Oh well that kinda trait seems to be common in my family in one form or another. Though I would like to pick myself out of it.
