Considering this guy is the vocalist for a Christian metal band, I think you're fine.

I was standing right in front of him, and right next to the guy who took this picture, actually. haha.

no you don't look like a satanist...i see no goat tatoos or 666 marks on your forehead...lol
you look like a cute goth girl.
why do you ask? do you want to look like a satanist?
Lot's of real satanists dress conservative and "normal"...suits, preppy etc....not what you'd expect. The ones who are serious and very involved in their allegiance to the malignant host don't want to draw attention to themselves....they want to blend in.

Exactly.
That's the character of Satan, he blends in.
I mean, how else did Pagan practices get in the church? Without Satan's secretive and seemingly 'good' ways there'd be no way he could snake his way into things.
He's smarter than we think, he's very crafty.

Me being a heavy metal fan before I turned to Jesus, the type of attire you dress in somewhat tells me what you are into.

I maybe wrong.

Heavy Metal Music
Death Metal Music
Hard Rock Music
Zombies. (Obviously).

it's mostly a music thing.

But i'll tell you most Metal if not all is full of lyrics that are not of God and if that is true; If something is not of God, it's of the deceiver .. Satan.

Satan isn't called the deceiver for nothing. A deceived person doesn't know he/she is being decieved. (sorry off-topic but just a little lesson)
Just be honest with yourself and ask yourself why you actually dress like that.

It's up to you and it's your choice.

Haha, TJO, that's somewhat untrue. I listen to lots of post-metal, tons of hardcore and screamo music, but also lots of post-rock. Just because I listen to that doesn't mean I dress a certain way or anything. To be honest, I dress sorta like a mountain kid (which I guess makes sense cuz I live in the mountains...) But no one would ever assume I listen to that stuff. I have found many metal bands, as well as hardcore and screamo bands, who actually have really good lyrics and who are not comprised of Satanists. Don't jump to such massive conclusions.

If someone dresses in a Stormtroopers outfit everyday, I could just about guarantee you that he/she likes Star Wars.

But just because someone likes Star Wars it doesn't mean they all have to dress like Stormtroopers.

All I meant was that her usual attire leads me to believe she listens to metal or something similar.

Then I make the point that you should be careful listening to that kind Music, it has alot of Satanic influence behind it and don't tell me it hasn't. (I'm not saying all Metal has Satanic influence, but "ALOT".)

Me being a freak of Metal earlier; I've been there done that. I even wen't to the point of finding Christian Metal or "GOOD" Metal but I came to the conclusion that I was just finding an excuse to not give up things of my past.

Apostle Paul said "When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me."

and that's what I intend to do.

Orange,
I would love if the world would have this point of view, but sadly it does not. On the contrary, you contradicted yourself. You said you listen to metal but you dont dress like it. But you dress like a mountain kid because of what? Yeah.. because you live in the mountains, if someone saw you outside the mountain scene, dressing the way you are. They would assume you live in the mountains? Am I not correct? Like TJO was saying. First impressions is everything. If you want to get a good job or a be part of something. People assume, just like when you are looking for a new song to listen to. Most of the time you will "know" the song is gonna be good by the first 10-15 seconds of the song. So if someone dressed clean cut will probably get the job over someone that is qualified and not clean cut, it all has to do with first impressions.

TJO also made a good point, when we get older we have to put away our old ways. Take a look at your old photo albums of your parents. You will probably see they are totally different then the way they are now. Like my parents were total hippies, long hair no shoes, the whole 9 yards. but if you look at them today they had to change the way they look to get a job or even be part of society. Now my dad is president of a huge company, do you think he got there by his long luscious hair? (haha I said luscious) No he had to change.

I'm not here to argue or sound like a conformist, but in today society we have to be good examples and my biggest goal is more I seek after God, more I want to conform into His image.

PS: My daddy once told me once I become rich you can dress however you like because you wont have to worry about losing your job LOL

PSS: BTW we are all still young here, live life, be creative! Be your self. But ask your self one thing. Does it honor God by the stuff you are wearing? If yes then you don't have anything to worry about. IF not, then like TJO said don't try to find alternatives because it will just come back to bite you in the bud. (maybe not in that context he was referring to) but yea! I love all of you guys and i dont even know any of you.

PSSS: I love every person and we can learn so much from everybody. haha now if you are still reading this than hats off to you. most of the people probably quit listening when i said luscious and sorry for a huge post. I was only going to write I agree with TJO, but i probably qouted him like 50 billion times and look i just did it again. snap dawg. anyways later guys!

Yeah, I figured that'd come up later as a contradiction lol.
Honestly, I haven't lived in the mountains all of my life. I lived on the plains of Colorado for quite a few years, I lived in the marshy areas of Indiana, and in the desert/mountainous mix that is Utah. I've always dressed like this, because it's who I am at heart. I've dressed like I do ever since I could remember, even when I was 100s of miles away from mountains. It just so happens that I do live in the mountains now, so my way of dress finally accompanies my lifestyle.
