As Yom Kippur and Tabernacles nears many of you guys will be busy preparing yourselves and. maybe, your homes, too, for these events. Please spare a little time on 15th September to pray for me - my future will be decided over 16th to 18th September. These dates, of themselves, have no particular significance in relation to what will happen regarding my future but it's an interesting 'coincidence' that all this is happening at that time, through and because of, folk who reject his Law for their own man-made laws.

Heber and Lulav, I am praying for ya'll. :prayer:
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face shine upon you and give you peace. :prayer:
We are also struggling in this economy. My husband has been out of work for 18 months and I have two part time jobs. But the Lord is caring for us.
My oldest daughter is a senior in high school, my son is in 5th grade and my youngest daughter is in 3rd grade.
In our home group meeting we have up to 11 children ages 3 to 11 and several of them have moms who are new Christians so we are enjoing including the children in our singing time and we are having a time with the children to read Bible stories and character lesson stories with them.
I am going to participate in a Bible Study using The Chumash: The Stone Edition (ArtScroll (Mesorah)). I just ordered the book and am looking forward to the study.

Hey, I'm here !

I'm doing well. Surviving summer, and a some personal issues that have come up. I have a job I love, and a house to keep up, and I'm looking forward to fall. Things are going well. I'm writing again. For myself and a small, local newspaper. So, I'm happy about that. I'm just enjoying all the blessings that G-d has given me. :)

Just popping in to say a quick 'Hi'.

I'm on the verge of taking my 10yr old out of school and doing homeschool. It's a big step, but also very exciting. he has been to 3 different schools, and not really been happy at any of them.

I'm out of church, but meeting with a small group who have also left the same church in recent months. Unfortunately, we are a bit directionless, everyone wants to be un-denominational, but its not really working. But no-one wants to make a commitment to anything, even doing a Bible study!

I haven't been around for a while, but this time of year always draws me back. i guess I just have to stop being double minded!

Sometimes I come on the forum (a different section) and get really annoyed and leave again for months, but I always come back.

Im glad to know how things are going and glad you will be posting more:) I have a 9th grader too and she is flip flopped in her nights and days too oy!
Shalom y'all deep from the heart of Paul Wilbur land.

Work wise, I'm coming out of the most stressful season from April through July. I appraise business personal property for the local govt and sit glued in front of a computer all day comparing pages of numbers. On the plus side I'm able to use the other side of my brain to listen to Messianic radio or audio sermons at the same time.
School started for my 9th grade son this week. Yay! No more sleep overs and watching movies past 2:00 am in the home.

My youngest daughter 19 got married in March. Her spouse had joined the Marines and got deployed (a few weeks later) until Dec. She is still living with us(which is good) but is suffering role/identity crises and separation anxiety.
Our 30 yr old daughter has been back home 1 year and things have turned around for her finally. Prodigal son story, sort of. Small town girl moves to Miami for excitement and wealth. Very successful in real estate sales but not in love. Falls madly in love with a Morrocan businessman, gives up career and moves to Africa. He is very honorable, caring, agnostic, man. A few months before their planned wedding, things became unraveld. It turns out religion and culture really did matter. They were unequaled yoked and she realized why family and friends raised red flags before.

She moved back home. With real estate values much lower up here and less sales volume, it has been a struggle. She appreciates more than ever her faith and family values.

So couples in their mid 50's are going through empty nest syndrome. But that would be very boring!:)

Even though I don't have a lot of posts, I still have been present here viewing posts. My philosophy has been God gave us 2 ears, 2 eyes, and only 1 mouth for a reason!
I'll be posting more now and appreciate the fellowship and even those folks that only help me "sharpen my iron"
Shalom Mishpocheh

Will pray for you Heber (i know your name).

Catrin and I were graced by Heber's presence during an informal stop off he had to our house. Heber is a really lovely bloke and we (and our children) look forwards to seeing him again.

hey there!! How are you

how are you whats new?

did you ever go to Israel?

tell us everything:)

Hey can you pm me P4I's email I wanted to send her an Invite too

The Israel thing fell through on me, then my religious views changed, so that probably isn't happening any time soon.

P4I had her account here deleted a few years ago, so I doubt she'd come back.

Well, he's former Orthodox now Messianic. He lived in Israel for 5 years and tended sheep. He plays the harp and dances. He's so smart, and funny, and most importantly loves G-d with his whole heart. We are so much alike that it just blows my mind. I can really see G-d's hand directing this whole thing. He's the most incredible person I've ever met. We really are the other half of each other. I fit with him and he fits with me. I'm just so blessed that he's in my life. :)

Yes our congregation still meets in a building on our farm. We are bursting at the seams - wish we had the money to remodel and add-on to the building. But we know Adonai will provide more space for us in his own good time.

Our daughter is 6 1/2 now and our son is almost 5 yrs old.

Wow, I haven't been here in a long time! Maybe...5 years since I posted here regularly? Goodness, how time flies...

All is well here. Still observing the biblical holidays as best we can within our own family. DH is much more open to them than he was, and I've made some compromises, too, in order to keep the peace. Considering the larger community we're in, that's probably a good thing, as it makes it easier for our kids to build friendships and for us to be a part of a local, traditional church (no MJ communities around here still).

When I was here before, we had 2 little girls. They're now 3rd and 1st grade, respectively, and we're happily homeschooling. We also now have a little boy who turns 3 on Monday. And we're expecting another boy, due in Feb. I also went on an amazing trip to Brazil last Dec and saw some incredible and wonderful things. I went with a charismatic group, and we visited 3 Baptist churches, all of which showed a very strong MJ influence--fun! God showed up in powerful ways.

Anyway, it's nice to see some familiar "faces" here (Hi, Wags, Tishri, IITB!!)! And nice to see the board so active still. Many blessings to all of you and Shalom!!
