Hmmmm......I never really noticed that before.

Hi terri, yes I have paid attention to that. It is good to be alert and on watch for these signs. The books of Matthew, Mark, and Luke brief us on what to expect in the last days. (around chapter 22?) Earthquakes, wars, famines and fearful things, are the "labor pains" this world must witness before Jesus Christ is returned to us (delivered).
Have you read the book of Revelation? It is quite complex, but not impossible to understand. If you enjoy prophecy, this is a fascinating vision to read and to cherish.

Terri you are absolutely right to share that with us. We are instructed to "watch & be vigilant." The beast may turn out to be the U.N. They need 10 nations, how many do they have now?
Yeah when I see destruction, I know the Lord won't some til everyone is saying"peace & safety" so destruction tells me He's not on HIs way today. Maybe after September tho. lol. Keep us informed!!! thanks, debbie

Jesus was refering to Israel when he said 'they'. Several OT prophecies talk about Israel in birth pangs to bring forth the messiah, which matches the woman in travail with child in the verse above. So it is when they say Peace and Safety (security) for Israel that we really need to be concerned. There is so much pressure on Israel and Palestine to reconcile that it is only a matter of time (despite the current hostilities) that some sort of peace must be achieved.

I am fairly new to the study of prophecy. I thought the beast would come out of The European Union. I never thought about the UN.

the "beast" of revelation is the government we will be required to worship.

The antichrist will be a man claiming to be Jesus Christ. His demonic "masqurading as an angel of light" miracles will have the power to decieve many.

his mark will be a sign of loyalty to the glorification and worship of man and the power of all that man can achieve when united, but it will be also be a spiritual counterfiet to the seal of God which the Holy Spirit already seals on believers and calls them his "elect."

The numbers 666 represent man making himself out to be god. They are also representative of Rome and the rule of a certain emporer. The antichrist will come and rule in the spirit and power of that emporer. It will be the same spirit that caused Nimrod (Sargon), aka Orion, to be the first emporer of the world and built the Tower of Babel in rebellion to God and for the glorification of man. It will be the same spirit that Nero had when he ruled Rome, and it will be the spirit manifested again in a man destined to be the next world ruler.

totally awesome and cool times are ahead for the believer who knows where his truth stands. The enemy will not come to lie, but to decieve; and to decieve many. Watch for it when people start looking for Jesus to return. Watch for it when the Jews expect their Messiah. and watch the whole world turn upside down when Christianity finally becomes the catalyst for the amazingly deceptive, one world religion; and humanism the platform for a one world government.
