I hate trusting in fear more than Jesus Christ.
Psalms Chapter 56
3. What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
4. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
Matthew Chapter 10
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Because I feared in so many things in my life, still a struggle today I might add, I have made some horrible mistakes in my life.
Job 1 [1 year]
I used to work at fast food restaurant and cut my finger. I needed to see the doctor but my boss warned me if I miss a day I would be fired. I finally ended going there 1.5 weeks later. End result, my doctor told me I almost lost my finger. Boss fired me anyway when I had to take time off to recover.
Job 2 [5 years]
During the Black Friday weekend [retail] anyone miss day of work for the first 4 days will get fired. No exceptions. I worked myself to death even when I knew I was ill. End result, a hospital told me I developed Pneumonia. It was so bad it took me 2 months to recover because I working in the cold outside during those 4 days.
Job 3 [6 years]
I needed to see a dentist but if you miss two days in a row you there’s a strong chance you’ll get laid off. End result, needed I more work done on a tooth than necessary b/c I did not have it examined earlier. And I was laid off anyway 3 months later… even though I didn’t miss a day and saw the dentist on a Saturday.
I’m giving these examples to my fellow Christians so avoid making the same mistake as I. Do not fear man more than Christ or you could end up losing a lot.
