Foundations of Faith

I love that What To Do book by Hagin, one of my favourites.

I am currently reading 3 books:

Releasing the Ability of God - Charles Capps. That is an awesome book. I read it in our family devotions. It might or might not be impacting the family, but it is challenging and inspiring me!

Breaking Intimidation - John Bevere. Never know how to take John Bevere, he seems to range from the sublime to the ridiculous with his preaching, but I have enjoyed this book a great deal.

Pastoral Ministry - Dag Heward Mills. Dag is a pastor of a 5000 strong church in Ghana and has planted over 400 churches in Africa. He reminds me of Fred Price. This book is very practical and spiritual at the same time, and it is answering a lot of my questions. As our church grows, it has been awesome help.

I've been in Isaiah.
1 Corinthians
Always Psalm and Proverbs

I write down the things the LORD speaks to me and I reread those pieces of paper frequently. They're prophetic to me. They're Rhema Word to me. They're usually straight from scripture, but also specific Words to me.

BVOV magazine - Btw, anybody read Terry Pearson's article in the August issue? Excellent article!!!

And of course the curricula in our homeschool. :D

I keep my reading list Word Faith or at least Word Faith friendly.
That's part of the reason I started posting again here is that we are no longer yoked to the non Word Faith crowd.

I used to allow myself to read books that had good teaching in part even if part was contrary to my beliefs but God gave me a revelation that if I had a piece of meat and just part of it was rotten and stinking would I try and eat the part that seemed good or throw it out?

Consequenlty that cured me of reading stuff that is out of line with my beliefs even if part of it is good.

That's a fantastic revelation, Dia.

Really powerful illustration. I know loads of people who go to non-faith churches but watch the Copelands, let's say on TV every day, but they wonder why standing for healing, for example is so hard.

Too true Cindy. Their look of amazement that God could NEVER SORT THAT ONE OUT can knock you for six.

The Lord says "If I was hungry I wouldn't tell you" and I agree with Him! There are so-o-o-o-o many people I would never tell if I was hungry (or sick, or fighting with the wife, or discouraged, or so on and so forth).

But seen as you are truly my family of faith can you please agree with me for two things (for the ministry):

1) That 30 people would be inspired to give us £20 a month towards our radio ministry in the next two months. That would be sufficient for us to pay all our bills in advance and alleviate any burden that would otherwise be on the church, or me!

2) I have just found out it will cost £2500 to send everyone in my town a postcard inviting them to the church. I really really want to do this. This covers the cost of printing, designing and distributing. We did 1/4 of the town last week for a crusade (10000 people) and it brought over 50 people into the church. So, logically, distributing something to the whole town could easily bring 100+ people into the church! That would be a blessing! Also, it would get the town talking which is what we need! I am not going to make a special plug for this at church, but please pray for the money to come in in a way that gives glory to God.

Oh yes, Amen! Amen! Yes!!!!! There are many people in that city that need the LORD! They need to hear this message! I will pray them in, and yes, that you have everything you need to carry out what He shows you to do, exceeding abundantly above what you could ask or think! Let the money come rolling in! Let the people come rolling in!!! ^_^

Hmmm....just a thought, but maybe, more than likely, there will be some come rolling in in wheel chairs and going out on healed legs!!!

I think rolling in was also a prophetic word.

And yes, many will hear and many will come!

LORD, increase the anointing to teach and preach in Ben! Get him ready for all the glorious things about to happen!

Just to clarify our radio ministry will cover all of London, but the leaflet distribution is just for Dagenham.
How far outside London are you?

I am just on the outskirts. I have a London telephone code, but not a London postcode, though if you go 4 miles closer you will have London postcode.

I am well within the M25 (the London ring road), and it is often debated whether where I live is in London or not. It is (Dagenham - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) and is a wonderful place to be. It has a bad rep within the UK as being a bit of a dump (not true, it has some of the most beautiful parks in the whole of England), and a home for racists (pretty true, but where else would you want to build a beautiful multi-ethnic church?).

But I love it, and I know I am called here. London is made up of loads of towns (like Dagenham, Stratford, Croydon, Wimbledon, Chelsea) and so you pastor the town and reach and teach the city.

Though now I am wondering how much it would cost to post everyone in London a postcard with the gospel on.

Blessings,
Ben
