Hi there. I'm Mandie, and I'm really confused about Christianity, so I decided to join. :3 It's a long story, but in essence - I gave my life to God to stop my friends bullying me, and that date is more of the date when I began to research Christianity, rather than my definitive 'coming to Christ' date. I hope to have an official date where I came to Christ soon, though! I've posted some questions that are really standing in the way of it the most in the New Christians section.

I was going to wait until those questions were answered to see what sort of a forum this is, but I've gotten such a positive vibe just from lurking that I thought I should introduce myself now! I'm 18 years old, I live in Australia and I'm very partial to lolita fashion. I'm mildly autistic and obsessive-compulsive, amongst other behavioural and neurological quirks that affect my day-to-day functioning. I'm a pretty happy person overall who loves to read, dance and play video games. I'm currently reading Uglies by Scott Westerfield and my favourite author is Elizabeth Gaskell.

to CF!!! Firstly I am so glad that you have given yourself to God because even though you have lots of searching questions to ask - you are now a child of the Lord - Like you say - when you find peace in the Lord - you will find true happiness in that date! PLease remember though (this is something I had to learn from) that sometimes when our prayers and questions arn't answered its not because God can't its that sometimes the answer is not want we want!! That was a BIG learning curve for me!!!
Im glad you find CF - you are correct that it doesn't matter what stage you are at - there is alot for everyone to get something out of the forums. Please feel free to get stuck in - here are a few boards you may want to go and look at :-

I'll take your advice to note, and thank you also for the helpful PM - I'll be sure to reference it before I make topics about such things, because it's so extensive I'm sure you've answered every question I could have had about what blessings are, et cetera! I was going to PM you my thanks, but I don't have enough posts to send them yet.

I think you are approaching this well with your explorating and quest.

The forum is a good place to seek answers and advice and learn new things. I have been a Christian a long time but there is always more to learn especially of the Word (Holy Bible). May you be blessed and guided by our loving God and the Holy Spirit as you learn of Jesus here. :amen:

yeah..
i think labor would of won if they didnt oust kevin rudd.
alot of christians who are usually labor supporters didnt vote gillard because she's isn't a christian

Oh, wow, really? I think that if Labour hadn't done that to Kevin Rudd, I would have had a much tougher time deciding on who to vote for. They both have their strengths and weaknesses, but man... :\ Keating/Hawke much? I like to think we can learn from our mistakes...

And there wouldn't have been an economic problem if labour hadn't ever been in power
