I lose more things. As far as not remembering where I put something.Or like accidentally leavimg something like my sunglasses at a resturant or at a family gathering..

But my 20 yo is the worst..In the past 6 or so months he has lost his SS card..(never recovered) his cell phone (recovered in a friends car)..his glasses (that he is required to use to drive)(recovered found at my sisters) the actual car keys..twice..once at work ..found several months later and once at a friends house that he had been given a ride to ...and just around the house...his MP 3 player...etc..

Oh and with the kids losing stuff? I get the finger pointed at me all the time when other people cant find something of theirs just because I keep my 2 and 1/2 year old grandson..tape measures..mp3 players..just recently my husband couldnt find this tiny piece of computer equipment..some sort of memory storage device..he would not beleive me that even if my grandson had gotten his hands on it..that Im right on top of him and would have retrieved it and Said 'thats Pappy's...and put it up where he could see it...

He instisted "he doesnt lose things" and made me feel bad sayign it had all this customers data on it..and I went around a looked for it even in places that I know I would not have put it like in the kitchen drawer etc..where is he looking? In the babys toy box..under the cushions on the couch..(all places that the baby might have put it)...

He also commented that it was the "2nd one in two weeks that disapeared"..then told me "never mind dont worry about it"..well he leaves and calls me later..the thing was in his car..and the other one? he called one of his customers and they said yeah it was there.

I said ..O.K..you owe me an apology #1...#2 never agian say "you dont lose things" like you are "superior" to the rest of us.

I dont think I have met a person yet that hasnt "lost something" ..and I dont mean "lost forever"..I mean you temporarily cant remember where you put(or may have left it) it and have to look around for it...

Some are worse than others where is causes choas and inconvenience..

Oh I have a funny one..one time my husband was getting ready to leave to work..and he came running in the house and said someone stoled the car..I called 911...and he was out in the driveway and I followed him and he walked down the alley while talkign to 911 and he goes .."nevermind I found it"...I said what do you mean you "found it"?They said "mam you found the car"

He had started the car and had it running to cool down before leaving..it was a 5 speed little Mitsibishi Eclipse..he came back in and when he went back out it was gone..well aparently he had left in in neutral and the wheels were turned at just the right angle that it not only had backed itself out..it turned missing our neighbors fence and had "parked itself" backwards into their driveway and was just sitting there idling..

Im sure the 911 operators thought I was a nut. When I said "nevermind he found it'..(a whole car)..

Too early to tell, but probably me.

I think you lose your cell phone more often if we where to use that as an example.

But I think more stuff is more likely to disappear when we put it on my home office desk as opposed to if we put it on your desk. (Which is far more organized.)

Definitely my husband. Every day before work, I have to roam around the house and find his wallet, keys, and cell phone for him to go to work. He'd walk right by them and never see them, and never remembers where he puts things.
He'll ask if I know where something is, and I always have the answer for him.... he doesn't get it. :)

My house apparently has a black hole in it that just sucks things into oblivion. One day I hope to stumble acrossed it and am sure I'll find dozens of socks! LOL But this famous black hole is often blamed for all the other strange disappearances of items that just vanish throughout our house. haha

I tend to put important things in a special place so it doesn't get lost then forget where that place is - lol and my husband will aimlessly put things away and then deny he did it! So needless to say, we do a lot of repurchasing it around here - :)

I lose my cell phone on a daily basis. So me, for sure. My husband rarely loses things and he's patient to help me find my phone every evening.

I think men have an easier time keeping track of their cell phone because its always in one of two places. (At least its this way for me.)

Its either in my pocket or its charging.

Same with my husband, and he only charges it at night, next to the bed. He has forgotten his phone once since we started using cell phones. I don't know where mine is half the time, I drag it around the house while I clean, drop it when I need both hands and it's never in the same place twice.

The weirdest place i've found it? In an empty subway cup... in the fridge...

I used to lose stuff all the time. So I finally said "enough" one day and started to put things in certain places and do little things from time to time to help keep things organized.

Fanny pack. Yeah, they are gay but I carry one! I keep my checkbook (don't carry a wallet anymore...checkbook has space for cards and stuff), pen and keys in there. Cash too if I ever have any these days. Also cell phone stays permanently clipped to it unless I'm at home. When I'm at home I try to keep it near me and I do pretty good keeping track of it.

My wife carries a different bag depending on where she's going. So her keys float. She also sometimes puts her wallet and keys in the diaper bag. She is still looking for her keys fairly often but she is getting better about losing them completely.

My husband. I'm a 'place for everything and everything in its place' kind of person, so I don't lose things often...but when I do, they're very lost! :) DH sets things down on the closest surface on a constant basis. I find his stuff in the weirdest places when I'm straightening the house. I don't think he has any idea that his keys are by the door every morning because I put them there the night before after finding them, say, on top of the fridge or on the bathroom counter. :D
