What proof of Christianity can we bring to those who believe in Islam?
How can we convert islamics to be Christian a little easier?
Well I will start by providing a few things and people can add their own ideas and verses.

I have found many do not even know the history of Islam that it was created 600 years after Jesus was Crucified. That if they knew about muhammad they would understand and know he was a trader and merchant up until the age of about 40 years old. Muhammad rose to politics and ruler of the military and after a short while after he claimed to have had revelations from God and wrote the Qur'an. He was seen by his followers as perfect. Thus he started his campaign of slaughter throughout the land of anyone who did not follow his self created religion. Which his religion he created was basically saying Jesus was a prophet and a son of man, not a son of God and that Adam, Moses, Abraham, and including himself were all just prophets. Which he clearly ignored any part of the New Testament that Jesus Himself proclaimed He was the One and Only Savior, Lord and Judge given all power by God the Father over the world. That Moses was never a Prophet, but a tool of God and soldier of God who set the slaves free. That Adam never once told a prophecy, but was the first to be Created by God on this world.

So Muhammad started his bloody campaign and forced the people under his control over the entire region. The Jews refused to follow or worship in his religion and they were hunted down and killed, the areas that were taken over by which even those who surrendered were slaughtered without mercy. Even as they ran to find sanctuary, the Jews were hunted down by muhammad across the land and killed. (Sounds like another person we heard of during World War II.) Muhammad died at the age of 62 and by that time he controlled by force the entire Arabian region. His reign was then turned over to his closest and intimate friend, Abu Bakr.

Ever notice how the Christians are always the first to come to the aid of Jews and help the Jews in their time of need?

Today, muhammad in the Islamic religion is seen as perfect, a prophet and without flaw. haha. Yet, I think I can list a few flaws in his life, or even a few thousand that was against God. So this is what Islam is about, yet so many follow it because they do not know the Truth or the History behind Islam. Jesus was the only one who was ever perfect to walk this world.

Yet, the elders of Islam bestow in the youth to make war upon anyone who tries to teach them different, yet they are always careful not to take on the entire Christian population, for we have a fire of our own if they do. So by this, it gives us room to help them find the truth about Jesus.

Where as, in the oldest original scriptures Jesus tells clearly that He is the Son of God. How muhammad got that confused is most likely because he wanted to rule over the area and live by his own desires, not by the Words of Jesus.
Jesus has all authority: Matthew 28: 18, John 5-26-27, John 17:2 and John 3:35 and the Prophets bear witness to Jesus in Acts 10:43, John 5:39 and Jesus filled the words of the Prophets in Matthew 5:17.

That Jesus IS Lord and the Son of God: John 1:1-2 and verse 14, John 8:23-24, John 8:56-59, John 10:36-38, John 20:28-31

So what else can we point out to Muslims to help them see the Truth? Perhaps what Pontius Pilate wrote or Philus or others who were non-believers during the time of Jesus that saw Jesus was truly the Son of God. What other ideas are there to help Islamics find Christianity to be helpful and bring them the truth? Any ideas?

We have to start helping Muslims find the Truth, so how would you do it?

God Bless. Jesus is Lord and Savior Always.

Hey. First of all, thank you for the post. I work at a refugee shelter in Toronto, one of the biggest cities in Canada. We get a lot of refugees who are Muslim. I have been speaking to one of them lately. First of all, I would just like to point out that you're making many generalizations that don't fit to all muslims. I'm not trying to attack you, or your post, but from the muslims I have met, they would not agree with most you have said (E.G. seeing Mohammad as having no flaws, etc.). Anyways, we have to remember that historical background does not define what a particular religious group believes in. Christianity has a very bloody history as well. From what Muslims at my workplace have told me, they don't believe in murder. They say that in the Quran, killing even one person is like killing all of mankind. Just because killing is done in the name of religion, does not mean that is what the specific religion stands for. Extremists abuse Islam and force others to follow or coax them into doing so, just like it has been done in Christianity. But, a lot of the points you made in your post are true as well. Just... don't make so many sweeping generalizations.

From what I have learned through a few discussions, this is what SOME muslims believe in:
The jews were the first to receive the message of God (OT)
The Christians second (NT. Jesus brought the gospels)
Muslims the third (Quran)

They disagree with many things about Christianity. They do not believe Jesus is the son of God. They do not believe He was crucified and resurrected. They believe he is simply a prophet, and not the son of God. But they in no way worship Mohammad (Or at least shouldn't), as he is just another prophet of God.

How to help islamics convert? Well, it's a really tough thing to do. But, you could point out the violent historical background of their most famous prophet (as you posted). You could also point out how they completely ignore the gospel message yet approve that it was granted to Jesus from God (As you mentioned. They ignore the fact that He claimed he is the son of God.). Also, you can read the Quran and find flaws in it. For example, from what I heard, they have the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Quran. But, the city is destroyed by God through the form of bricks. Bricks fall from the sky, destroy everything. In the Bible, I believe Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by sulfur. In the actual archeological site, they found sulfur, not bricks.

Anyways, I honestly can't help much. Thank you for bringing up this topic and for wanting to brainstorm ideas. But at the same time, the best way to convert someone is by having a Sheppard heart, like Jesus, and to act as an example. When they see the peace in your heart, they'll wonder how you've attained such peace, and they'll realize Jesus is the answer. Don't attack their religion, you'll just enter into a debate/argument and that gets nowhere. Be there for them, be friendly, discuss your ideas, quote from the Bible, and when they're ready, be their Sheppard.

Best of luck, and God bless you.

P.S. Sometimes muslim residents give me pamphlets which are meant to convert Christians to Islam. I have the website of the distributors or the pamphlets. They have information about what Islam truly is (not the generalizations/opinions/stereotypes of Islam). Also, they have many articles attacking Christianity. One article is called 101 contradictions in the Bible, where they show scripture contradicting other scripture. You could look at them and defend Christianity based off of their arguments. I can't post links though, so if you want it, send me a PM.

Corner them about sin. They don't know for sure if they are going to Heaven and they hope their good works will help them get there.
Tell them they can know for sure that they will go to Heaven because Christ took their sins and that they don't have to work for it anymore.

Dear DoctorJosh. Christianity is not only a Religion, it is also a loving relationship between Jesus Christ and His followers. Christianity`s weapon is Love, and it is a mighty weapon. Just be loving and helpful, and wait to be asked, DoctorJosh. Then answer the question lovingly, and tell that Love is what Christ wants from us: Love for God with all our being, and love for each other as Christ has shown us: Selfless Love/Agape. Keep it short and to the point, and wait to be asked. I say this humbly and with love. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

Another thing to note is that they don't believe in original sin. Something along the lines of "Why would a Just and Perfect God punish you and/or blame you for the sins of someone else?".

That is interesting. My cousin is a muslim because she married a muslim guy. When I talked to her about sin, she kept evading me.

Force their children to attend Christian schools from a young age and forbid them from teaching or talking about Islam at home. In about a generation and a half it will be done. That is how is has been done historically from Roman times up through how they dealt with Native American old ways. Some say its wrong to destroy a culture in such a way. I'm inclined to agree but maybe sometimes its worth it.

True, Muslims are not all the same, but not all Christians have the same Doctrine either so we can understand they will have different categories of belief. I have joined a Muslim forum to try and slip in a few things here and there without them knowing exactly who it is coming from, which will inspire some questions about Moses and the 10 Commandments being the first Laws given to mankind by God, thus leading up to Jesus who did say He was the Son of God and it is even documented by Pontius Pilate and other famous writers of the time who were not Christian. So I asked them to search for the Truth, was Jesus a prophet really or was He the Son of God and hopefully simple ideas like that will inspire them to seek the Truth which is documented not only in the Bible, but in other sources as well. Hopefully some will question their Muslim belief and ask, why wasn't this wrote in the Qur'an? Why was it not told to us that Jesus was the Son of God? So then each little thing I bring up, innocent questions they may be will hopefully plant a seed to lead them to Jesus. However, walking around in Muslim territory has kept me on my toes, since the first instant they figure out I am a Christian Reverend in real life, they will ban me from their site. haha. So if anyone is solid in the word of God, enter some Muslim sites and put innocent questions on there and see if they start to ask questions. God Bless. Good points everyone.

Most people will hold firmer to their faith when confronted on how wrong it is. Our faith becomes part of us, and a challenge to what we believe is an insult to our souls.

God knows how to effectively work inside each individual, and will give us an answer to each situation if we keep listening to Him.

Your background information was interesting, and useful. Thanks for getting the conversation going. Since Muslims have stronger incentive to convert people, and strong ties in their communities, many Christians don't initiate religious conversations with them.

One broad difference -- Islam is shame-based while Christianity can be more guilt-based (not necessarily). A Muslim might express disgust over something unclean, while a Christian says "oh well."

The discussion on funding of mosques and centers is high in the news right now. Islam has a stronger base of financial decisions made from high leadership, where Christianity is more fluid and makes many decisions at local and personal levels. In that aspect, Christianity is more in the hands of its believers.

With Christianity, there is grace and forgiveness, always available upon repentance. It is hard to accept that when a person has been driven toward performing dutifully for years. It is hard for most of us. Free grace makes no sense, and seems to lead toward chaos and unfairness. But God shows that it can work.

Helping islamics convert to Christianity

Share with Muslims what the Bible itself says about Jesus. For "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him"
(John 3:36).

"Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father" (1 John 2:23).

Islam can't save people because it denies that Jesus is the human/divine Son of God (Koran 9:30, Koran 4:171, Koran 5:72), and it denies that Jesus died on the Cross for our sins (Koran 4:157) and rose from the dead on the third day. In order to be saved, people have to believe that Jesus is the human/divine Son of God (John 3:36, 1 John 2:23), and that Jesus died on the Cross for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Luke 24:46-47, Matthew 20:19, Matthew 26:28).

The reason why it's necessary to believe these things in order to be saved is because it was only as the human/divine Son of God that Jesus' suffering during his Passion could satisfy God the Father's justice (Isaiah 53:11), which requires an infinite amount of human suffering for sin (Matthew 25:46). During his Passion, Jesus as a human suffered for our sins an infinite amount because he is at the same time God (John 1:1,14, John 10:30, John 20:28): his soul is infinite, and so the suffering of his soul (Isaiah 53:11) was infinite in amount, even though it wasn't infinite in duration. Because humans who aren't God have finite souls, for them to suffer an infinite amount for their sins they must suffer over an infinite duration of time (Matthew 25:46, Revelation 14:10-11, Mark 9:45-46). Every human has sinned (Romans 3:9,10,23, Isaiah 53:6) except Jesus (Hebrews 4:15, 2 Corinthians 5:21). But because Jesus suffered an infinite amount for all human sinners (1 Peter 3:18, 1 John 2:2, Isaiah 53:6,11), all human sinners who believe in Jesus' human/divine sacrifice can have their past sins forgiven (Romans 3:25, Matthew 26:28) while God the Father's justice remains fully satisfied by Jesus' suffering for their sins (Isaiah 53:11, Isaiah 53:6).

One way to help Muslims understand how Jesus can be God, from everlasting, is to question them about their understanding of the Muslim belief regarding the Koran. For Islam says that there was no time when the Koran didn't exist in a spiritual form in heaven, that it has always co-existed with Allah as his word. So Christians can simply point out to Muslims that the Bible says that before Jesus' incarnation, there was no time when he didn't exist in a spiritual form in heaven; he has always co-existed with God the Father as God the Word (John 1:1,14).

Jesus Christ is uncreated God just as God the Father is uncreated God, for everything that has been created has been created by Jesus Christ (John 1:3, Colossians 1:16-17). Because Jesus Christ is uncreated, there was never a time when he was not; he has always existed: he is YHWH the Holy One, from everlasting (Habakkuk 1:12, Acts 3:14, Micah 5:2). Jesus Christ is YHWH the good shepherd (Psalms 23:1, John 10:11, Mark 10:18). Jesus Christ is YHWH who will set his feet on the Mount of Olives at his return (Zechariah 14:3-4, Acts 1:11-12). Jesus Christ is YHWH who is the first and the last (Isaiah 44:6, Revelation 2:8). Jesus Christ is YHWH the great I AM (Exodus 3:14, John 8:58), the great God (Titus 2:13), one God with God the Father (John 10:30, John 20:28), equal in divinity with God the Father (Philippians 2:6).

Just as the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19) is the three distinct, co-existing Persons (Mark 1:9-11) of God the Father (Galatians 1:3), God the Son (Hebrews 1:8), and God the Holy Spirit (cf. Mark 13:11 & Matthew 10:20), so the Trinity is YHWH the Father, YHWH the Son, and YHWH the Holy Spirit, for YHWH is the only God (Isaiah 45:5-6).

While there is no sufficient analogy to explain God (Isaiah 40:18), how he can be one God and yet three Persons at the same time, the Bible does refer to God speaking things into existence (Hebrews 11:3, Genesis 1:3). What God spoke was his Word, who is that Person of the Trinity who became flesh in Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14, 1 Timothy 3:16). But God the Word existed even before God the Father spoke anything into existence, because all things created were created by God the Word (John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:16). And the original Greek word for "Word" is "Logos", which refers not only to spoken words, but also to any ordered thoughts. Clearly, God has always had ordered thoughts, so God the Word has always existed.

So a human analogy for God would have God the Father as the mind, and God the Word as the ordered thoughts, speech, and writings (incarnate words) of that mind. God the Holy Spirit would then be analogous to the breath (spirit) which is inextricable from human speech, and also inextricable from ordered thought, in that a non-breathing person is dead and his brain has no thoughts. God the Holy Spirit is one God with God the Father and God the Word because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father (cf. Matthew 10:19-20 & Mark 13:11) and the Spirit of the Word (John 14:16,18, Romans 8:9).

While an individual human being is not three persons, the truth about God can still be grasped by looking at man's design, for man was made in God's image (Genesis 1:26). Just as an individual man has his word and his spirit, so the one God has his Word (John 1:1) and his Spirit (Romans 8:9). But the one God is so infinitely greater than man (Isaiah 40:17-18) that the Word of God and the Spirit of God are distinct Persons within his being.

Besides the analogy of a single human's mind, thoughts/speech/writings, and breath, the Trinity can also be compared to the single sun's sphere, light, and heat. The Father would be analogous to the sphere of the sun, which is invisible to humans except for its visible light, which is analogous to the incarnate, visible Word (Colossians 1:15, John 14:9). And the sun is felt by humans via its invisible, infrared rays, which would be analogous to the Holy Spirit.

Another analogy of how God can be one God and yet three Persons at the same time would be H20 (subscript 2), which even though it's only one substance, it can exist in three distinct states of solid, liquid, and gas at the same time (such as in one glass two-thirds full with water and ice cubes, and with water vapor filling the top third of the glass).

Another analogy of how God can be one God and yet three Persons at the same time would be space, which even though it's only one area, it consists of three distinct dimensions at the same time.

Another analogy of how God can be one God and yet three Persons at the same time would be 1x1x1=1, or 1a x 1b x 1c = 1abc.

Muslims might say that Jesus can't possibly be God because he prays to God the Father. But the answer to this is that Jesus Christ prays to God the Father (e.g. John 11:41-42) because even though Jesus Christ is God (John 1:1,14), he at the same time is also fully human just like us (Hebrews 7:24-25), and so he has a God and Father just like us (John 20:17). Before Jesus Christ became our eternally-human high priest (Hebrews 4:14, Hebrews 7:24-25, 1 Timothy 2:5), and the only-begotten (only-born) Son of God (John 3:16), the only human born without any human father (Luke 1:34-35), Jesus Christ pre-existed (John 17:5, John 8:58) from all eternity as God the Word (John 1:1,14, 1 Timothy 3:16). Jesus Christ has always been, and still is, even in human flesh (Luke 24:39), one God with God the Father (John 10:30, John 20:28, Titus 2:13). Jesus Christ has always been, and still is, even in human flesh (1 John 4:3), equal in divinity with God the Father (Philippians 2:6).

Jesus prayed to the Father as an example for us to follow. He explicitly told us that it was so we would believe. If the Father knows our thoughts even before we pray, He would know the Son's thoughts as well without prayer.

From a course we had at Church on the Qu'ran, it tells you specifically that all believers are to follow Isa, their name for Jesus. This invokes the New Testiment Gospels. However, I also found out that Muslims believe Paul was a heretic. Therefore, focus on the Scripture written by John with Muslims.

Pray for leadership of the Holy Spirit, and be guided by the Lord.
