Why do I think in terms of music?

I do that too. Or if someone says something clever my mind starts running a subroutine that tries to work it into a lyric or line for a song or story I'm writing.

I do that all the time too! Someone will say something and it will trigger a line from some song and I'll want to sing it. I often associate events, conversations and thought processes with songs.

Same here I'll be in the middle of a conversation, and something said will trigger a line from a song in my head, and I'll start humming or singing it My son said something lastnight that made me think of a song, and I just randomly sang a line, and it made no sense in our conversation, but it was so hysterical, he stopped and looked at me like "huh?" and we both busted out laughing.

I'm a musician so this is just second nature for me haha. My friends make fun of me for it sometimes because I know every song made before 2000, and I will burst into song and dance spontaneously when they say things.
