There is no conversion necessary. Messianic Judaism consists of anyone Jew or Gentile who considers Yeshua(Jesus) to be Messiah. Because Yeshua broke down the wall separating Jew and Gentile from worshipping G~d together, both can come. The reason it's called Messianic Judaism is due to the form of worship and lifestyle. Studying from Torah (1st 5 books of the Bible) from a Torah scroll, Jewish liturgy, celebrating the Feasts, honoring Sabbath instead of Sunday worship - these are what constitutes the difference between Messianic Judaism and Christianity in a nutshell.
Is it a bad thing to associate with Jews who believe in Messiah? Only in some people's eyes - but to G~d - He's overjoyed. Would you be accepted? Absolutely!
If you live near a Messianic synagogue, give it a try.

Why are you interested in the Messianic Movement?

My answer: I feel something missing terribly within the Christian belief system. I have this urging within me to follow G-d and G-d only. I have heard too many people tell me that we do not have to follow His laws anymore because of the Cross but I believe differently. I do not want to sin against G-d.....I want to live the way He meant for us to live. So I began researching within the different communities on this forum website reading from many different categories and studying them all. Have been going down thru the postings here over the past few days and am being drawn in like a bee to honey. It feels right within my soul. I just can't accept it when someone says in one breath that His ways and His laws never change then in the next breath tell me that we are not bound by the law any longer because of what Yeshua did for us at the cross. I know I can never be a Jew because I wasn't born one...I am not sure if I qualify to be a Spiritual Jew either.I do know that I believe Yeshua was the promiced Messiah and whether or not I qualify to be accepted as a Messianic Jew, whether or not He will welcome me into Paradice once my physical body expires, I will learn everything I can and live the way He meant His people to live.

I do not see any reason why you could not be part of Messianic congregation if there is one near your home. But you will find different people have different view of the Law and what it means to be Jewish, even within the movement.

I am much like you. I am also a gentile I came from a Catholic background and starting about this time last year I started to think there was something missing then after looking at other denominations I came across MJ and it all started to make sense it just seems right. The main reason I am here is to ask questions its a good place for it. Good luck on your quest G-d bless.
