Am I Seeing Angels or am I Crazy?

I dont think your insane, in fact im going through something very similar and unless its happened to you no one will be able to understand what its like.

-I've had a rough time at work and some guy came in, and started to talk to me. He just started to talk about some random stuff, like how this winter was, the strange weather now and all this stuff. He was dressed in ragged clothing, so I figured he was homeless or just dressing that way, like how I dress in Sweet Rococo/Victorian mixed style, and before he left, he'd said some really strange things to me that nobody knows about me which was, "I wish you would start eating again. It hurts me when you starve yourself." And left, he had marks on the palms of his hands. One of my co-workers after that had asked my why I was talking to myself.

-The past week, I've been praying hard for God to let me keep my sanity for at least a little bit longer and not to be so depressed and I heard, I literally heard a voice tell me that everything'll be okay.

Wow, looking at all that, I think I may need better medication. But anyways:

What are your thoughts? God speaking to me/angels or am I just insane? o0

Angels exist. When God is revealing things they will be revealed spiritually because our Father is the Spirit. So our carnal minds don't always understand and we begin to overthink and thats when sometimes our imagination can run wild. If the enemy is working on you so much to where you feel suicidal then I will say God has put great things in you and the enemy wants to stop that from coming to pass.. But, the enemy can't stop God.. We just have to know that. No matter how thinks look - Hang in there and see what God is going to do... In your situation look forward to how God is going to bring you out and then make it a testimony for the ones who are to shy to express what they are going through.. We serve a Great God! God always knows when to send someone to you or give you a word when you need it most. God Bless You!

Angels do exist, you are not alone in witness to their presence. Listen to them, they can only help you draw closer to GOD. I've experienced both in Spirit (presence felt but not seen) and human form. OUR GOD is awesome in this respect of sending into our lives exactly what we need to continue in HIM. I'll pray for you.

Now someone might think I'm a little off my rocker...you are far from losing your mind. The guy that came to you with rags on..the one that said "It hurts me when you starve yourself" I am 100% sure that was Jesus.

Some people don't believe he comes down here, I believe he does (why not, he is God he can do whatever he wants to). He came to me once when I was very sick. He sat down on the bed next to me, and made me well. I did not see him, but his preasance was unmistakeable.

In order for him to come to you, you must be going through a very difficult time. I will keep you in my prayers.

Someone already posted the verse from Hebrews. I also believe that Angels are here and are watching us. But also remember that satan and his angels are also here and can also appear to us.

I believe that I have had istances where I have ran into and talked to angels and not known it till later down the road.

Just rem to be careful because both sides are out there. One to help us, the other to harm us.

Interesting that you said this, because I too was thinking this. And the 'starving yourself' has nothing to do with FOOD as we know it. It is the FOOD that only HE can provide (HIS WORD).

I also agree with the 'very difficult time' statement that you made. HE comes at these difficult times to draw us closer to HIM so that we do not go in the opposite direction when we are confronted with extreem conflict (to peace with HIM) in our lives.

Oh Gosh!

I remember something that happend....in church. Now, this was just something that I prayed to recieve. I asked Jesus for a hug. And one day at church, the pastor did an alter call...i cant remember what it was for, but I went up to the alter...and just as i went up to the alter, he said "Jesus is right here". I thought..."oh, he means the Holy Spirit". No he didn't Jesus was there. We could not see him...but he came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me and put his head down on top of mine. It lasted up until I started to wonder about what people were thinking about me. I mean, in the position that I was. When I worried, he left and moved further into the croud.

We do have stuff like that happen at our church quite often. One morning, before the 2nd service...Someone was trying to get into our church parking lot. They were there to make trouble. I'm not sure what they had in mind, but it had to be pretty bad because a 10ft tall angel had his hands on the frunt of their car, so they could not enter the parking lot. The could have been witches, we get them every so often. I did not witness this, but I know a few people who did.

I saw an angel once....One night I was meditating...and I felt like I was going to die soon, and I mediated for a while, I was awake with my eyes closed. All of a sudden, I saw a wing...then aother...and then it was kind of like...a camra panning up to this angel...He was old looking, he had a long grey beard and grey wings. He also had red eyes...like fire. he spoke to me in a loud voice and said "FEAR NOT". Then I woke up.

SWEET!! That totally sounds like the Lord to me... Angels, Himself, whatever. It's God trying to get ahold of you. Now all you've gotta do is LET HIM! You will be shocked at the amazing things that come out of you just letting God love you and bless you. Not because of what you've done, but because of who He is. He's just THAT good. Amazing, no? Ask the Holy Spirit to just be with you and His presence to rest on you. He will.

God talked to me through my Zune HD Christian Music playlist being on shuffle. the words he wanted me to acknowledge literally flew out at me. My story of that is in one of my threads I started.

I have seen angels myself, and your description is not how they manifest themselves. You can certainly meet with them, in human form, but when you do, others around you will see them as well. Angels do not play games, and appear to one person but not another in the same room.

You mention better medication, implying that you are already on one kind. I think what you are seeing may be a side effect of the medication. Go to your doctor as soon as you possibly can; you seriously need to check this one out.

I would not say that you are insane. I am not so sure about some of the other responses on this thread, though.

You may be hallucinating. You need to see a doctor.

I have experienced angels, but not in the way you have. A vision of an angel is generally interior, not exterior. When there is an exterior apparition, it will be seen by everyone present, not just some. If you see something which other people in the room do not see, then this may well fall into the category of hallucination (I cannot diagnose because I am not a doctor, but it looks distinctly dodgy). And the same is true of hearing an actual voice, when others do not hear it.

God is not in the business of deception. He will never appear to be one thing, while actually being another, and neither will his angels.

Please be careful.

As Christians, we are inclined to believe in people's experiences of God and different miracles in their lives. They are real things.

I knew a young man in his twenties recently who had experienced the same thing. He spoke with God, had visions, et cetera. It really changed his life and his spirituality. Unfortunately, it appears that he had schizophrenia. I know that the disorder has a stigma to it, but it is fairly common and it is treatable. It also can go away with age.

The young woman here is at the age when it commonly appears. The reason the condition needs to be taken seriously and diagnosed is because it can cause great harm to the person, mentally, socially and physically. I have seen what it can do to a person and the person I knew ended up in the hospital and might well have died were it not for luck.

I do not say this to scare anyone, but to reinforce the seriousness of this. Please see a doctor and tell him everything that is going on. You might be perfectly fine, but it isn't worth putting yourself at risk. Schizophrenia does not mean you are 'crazy', it is just a common disorder and its is treatable and temporary. However, it can cause serious harm.

Exactly right.

Angels can and do appear, but there are some warning signs in what was said, and it is not safe. The OP needs to see a doctor.

I've already been tested once before for any signs of schizophrenia because I complained to my parents when I was fifteen about hearing voices and seeing things, and I came up clean; the doctor said it may be from not sleeping or it could just be stress/depression. And I doubt my parents would be to happy about my going to see my doctor for a mental illness that I probably don't have.

Although, your concern has me thinking, I'll get in touch with my old therapist to see if I should go back to prescription meds and none of the herbal medicines.

Well, that is a start.

Nobody here can diagnose. I said you might be having side effects, or it might be something else. Lack of sleep could be a factor. But if you are seeing and hearing what you describe, then you really ought not to be complacent about it.

Your parents don't have to know that you are seeing a doctor, and it is most certainly better to be safe than sorry.

One thing I will say, which might help. Whether what you see is a product of God or a product of your own mind, either way you are a very spiritual person, and you clearly want to seek God in your life. Don't take what I have said as a negation of that spirituality; it is most certainly real.
