Jeremiah 9:20-21
20. Yet hear the word of the Lord, O women, and let your ear receive the word of His mouth; Teach you daughters wailing, and everyone her neighbor a lamentation.
21. For death has come through our windows, has entered our palaces, to kill off the children-no longer to be outside! And the young men-no longer on the streets!
It is not a shame for even men to cry. This is a battle cry for the young generation. Babies, young children, and young men who will be powerful for the Lord. A generation that the devil has planned war against. A generation that does not know what it says or does. They have bought the lie and do not realize it. The devil is subtle.

So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering. Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things. You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever.
So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
