we all grew up in a church, we all learned under some denomination,

most of us went along with our parents understanding of God, yet as we grew older and matured we learned that something did not fit.

what made you understand that the denominations are a man's theory and interpretation?

did you read the bible for yourself?

was it the worldly things in your life that led you to pursue a spiritual life?

did the denominational church chase you away because of their acts?

2Pt 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

what pushed you away from the big three

Roman Catholism
Protestantism
Orthodoxism

Now that you have left the brainwashing of the Big three, what is your means of Learning God's words.

it is written

Eccl 12v

8: Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.
9: And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.
10: The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
11: The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.
.
what non-denominational source do you get your teaching from?

where is your pastor after Jesus heart?

Jer 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

is the denominational doctrine washed from your mind?

I know I probably can't debate here, so I won't.

I did want to mention that I have the opposite experience. I was raised non-denom Charismatic and am now Orthodox.

why do christians have to debate each other?

we believe in Jesus so lets talk about the God Jesus?

are you a believer in Jesus?

then lets glorify his name his word and him?

speak the word!!!

you are what you are and that is between you and God.

we will follow the rules of the board and glorify Jesus.

please don't by into the some here who think I want to debate,

it not true the problem is that there are some here who lack understanding and their way of hiding their lackness is to make false accusations.

if a person don't agree that person just don't agree.

lets read something that the churches overlook when they read Paul books

Paul said the Gentiles must remember this

11: Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12: That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14: For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15: Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16: And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

the gentiles are told to come into the commonwealth of Israel
becoming one body made near by the blood of Jesus.

where in Jesus word did he say start a denomination?

Where is the common salvation in Jesus when you are in a denomination?

lets read

Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

so I am told to contend for the faith concerning the common salvation?

is there common salvation in the Roman Catholic church, how about the Orthodox church who left the Roman Catholic, and the granddaughter the Protestant protested the mother church so we know the is not common salvation between the mother and granddaughter.

the common salvation is Jesus

will Jesus salvage or save the big three denominations and there children?

Now that you have becoame a non-denominational

who teaches you and wher eis your Pastor?

Jesus told Paul to write

Rom 10v8: But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10: For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11: For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12: For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

answer these 3 questions from Paul

14: How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15: And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16: But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

those of you who are in the denominational churches

it is written

Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

the Roman Catholic church is one body
the Orthodox church has many bodies
the Protestant churches many many bodies

I was raised Catholic, but It didn't really sit with me. I even went to a catholic school for a couple years. I thought that Jesus paid for our sins, so what is Purgatory then? My theology teacher said that not attending church was a major sin. And that I couldn't receive the Eucharist if I didn't go to confession each time I didn't go. I then asked her why we had to go to confession if God forgives our sins if we pray to him. She never gave me an answer.

I haven't really read the bible all that much, but I know a lot from theology class.

When I moved and stopped going to church, I really felt the need to get closer to God than I did when I went. I have chronic insomnia and I had to go to church 2 times a school week. And I couldn't keep my eyes open because I only got 2 or 3 hours of sleep a night, I got severely scolded every-time this happened, Multiple detentions, ISS, and OSS one time when they couldn't wake me up to receive communion. I told them my problem and even had a doctors note, they just told me to get more sleep, which I wanted to, but physically couldn't.

did the Lord show a truth to the man made lie?
did you read upon something in Gods word that opened your eyes?

How did the Lord open your eyes?

asking question is Good especially for the pure in heart

lets read

Mt 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

I haven't really read the bible all that much, but I know a lot from theology class.

you have to read God's word, this way you can compare your upbringing with the word of God and determine which one is correct or if your denomination is teaching what is written

read God's word, obey his voice and pray for understanding.

he will heal you, it is written

Acts 28:27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

God appoints fellow christians to teach and pastorise (is that a word?) me, when He chooses.

the key to the verse is this

Jer 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

the pastors of God follow the word of God by the book.

for example

Jesus died on the passover

the denominations teach that Jesus died on good friday.

is this after the Lord heart?

is this knowledge and understanding?
