Hi, not been here for a while. I've been pootling along in my degree, not really keeping track of the latest developments in Creation Science. I was wondering whether there was any radical new evidence that evolution is wrong (I gather that Biologists have been uncovering new evidence all this time!)

And also wondering whether AV has decided to enlighten us as to how embedded age is different from something which is new but looks old? (Without references to new bicycles made from 4.5billion year old parts)

Hope the degree is going well.

Nope, none

Same theme, different actors.

Of course they did, how could evolution be expected to stand up to an onslaught of such brilliantly well thought out arguments? evolution just didn't stand a chance, creationism just blew evolution away.

What do you think? I read somewhere else that if 50 brain cells could be found in a church full of creationists it would be entered into the Guinness book of records under 'Unbelievable but True'.

O, really?
What empirical evidence falsified it, then?

The list, as i understand it,is endless. However, all the "scientists" are deluded by Satan, and his minions; therefore they simply deny, betimes with all their cunning, that evolution has been falsified.

Meh... we gave up on evolution a long time ago. Now we scientists are trying to figure out how many windows the ark had and where they were located.

One -- situated above the main deck.

Can't you scientists read?

Genesis 6:16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above;

But the plans got revised, or rather there were revisions embedded.

Evolution will never be proven incorrect, or correct.
The fact of evolution has been demonstrated. The theory of evolution, the explanation of the fact, has been amply supported and remains unfalsified.

Creationism will never be proven correct, or incorrect. At least not in the lifetime of mankind.
And neither will be proven correct or incorrect the story of Little Red Riding-hood.

As with God, you have to believe it before you can see it. If you still can't see it, it just proves that you don't belief in its existence strongly enough. So get on your knees and pray, and God will reveal it to you.

Peter :)

The Judaeo/Christian God is not verifiable by by means of observation or experiment, or at least never has been so verified, as far as I am aware after nearly ten years on this forum. And it certainly isn't a matter of any practical experience.

i have heard that, tho I have an idea that it really is all just something about the wiring of the human mind.

The mormon prays for the answer, is their book all true, is it real? they pray hard and long enough, they will get their message.

Does anyone know of someone who prayed thus and got the answer, "NO its not true"? for any religion? "No, the voice says, I am not God"?

if they did get that answer, its coz they were not satisfied the first time they got an answer, and kept praying and asking. (i doubt many do, coz it might be disrespectful like, to their god, not to believe him the first time)

but you know, if they DID keep praying, after a time, they get a NO, the BOM, or whatever, is NOT true. And probably back again to TRUE YES if the still persisted.

it was like that for me when I was stewing about grad school A or school B.

Im going along, not even thinking about it for a change and BOOM. its like a voice spoke in my head.... got to A!

But Im not so easy, and later, maybe a week goes by, and now ther it is again.... Go to B!

So now i dont believe any of it. People build this whole amazing structure about church and god and prayer on that foundation.

They thought the Latimeria chalumnae was extinct until 1938.

Given that Latimeria chalumnae was only discovered in 1938, I'm not sure how anyone could have thought it was extinct.

Of course, this has nothing to do with the fact that creationism's been thoroughly eviscerated over the last 200 years.
