I agree completely with Storm! There is vulnerability in any relationship - there has to be or it just wont work. When you speak of Jesus as being vulnerable, in my mind I see Him as in a marriage. Which He is... since we are His bride!! I'm not in a marriage myself, but whenever you go to your husband/wife, you go vulnerable, dont you? Thats how I see Jesus... tender, loving, vulnerable... wanting some alone time with me, with you. Just like a husband with His bride.

Lovely! I agree completely with you!

Hmm, just looked up the etymology of the word 'vulnerable', and it looks like Jesus definitely fits it...the word comes from the Latin vulnerare (to wound), and we wouldn't be anywhere without our Love's dear wounds on the Cross.

This shows the heart of our relationship with Jesus. Every time He comes to us He risks being hurt, rejected and misunderstood.

PERFECTLY SAID.
Yes, He is tender, shy (at times) and totally vulnerable. The other morning He woke me with a song running through my mind (which He does a lot) and the lyrics were that of yearning and reminding me never to forget what He and I have. Such a pleading, desperate vulnerability. I'm in love........

Keep reading your bible. There are plenty of words in there that adequately explain the Lord. There is a couple words that describe this: false humility. You can get to know Him so much more. May your journey be the best thing that has ever happened to you. If He knocks at the door of your heart, let Him in and He will sup with you. Be blessed.

I have been absent because we are going through some trials. We have found out that my hubby Raymond has a fairly large stone and several smaller stones in his right kidney which they tried to retrieve without invasive surgery, they have placed a stent to help the stones pass. That is only part of the story they found that his other kidney which was not presenting with problems has what they now believe to be a cancerous mass and his kidney will have to be removed. They need the other kidney to be free from this stone and functioning properly before they can operate.
Could you please keep him in prayer right now. God is the God of miracles and can heal supernaturally both kidneys but if it's the surgical route at this time pray that the stone will pass and they can proceed with surgery as soon as possible. Raymond is in the Lord's hand and the Lord has promised him a long life and there is much for him yet to do for the sake of the Kingdom.
Please pray and agree with me for his healing.

Our message in church tonight was being persistent in prayer. God give us an answer to prayer now in Jesus name. If we have to wrestle with you to do it, we will!
