I don't feel like this is a place for me to come to any more.

Someone who practices Messianic Judaism in word, and deed.
And how is that done? My understanding is that the Messianic movement is not very unified, and has a large variation in beliefs and observance.
Who determines which words and deeds are representative of the Messianic faith?

In the past few months I've joined Facebook and have found quite a few people with similar beliefs.

And yes I have made a few friends here. Though at times it is hard to feel like a friend via internet since there is no face to face. Many a time I feel many wouldn't want me around considering my belief. And over the past year or so I have felt I don't fit in with MJ anyhow since I have seen some of the same beliefs brought from Christianity(where I believe it was formed) into MJ fellowships around this part of the country, probably the same most every where. Christianity with a Hebraic covering. Same beliefs with only the outer appearance of Hebrew in it. Granted that most believe that the Torah is still in effect.
Also there have been a few people with non-messianic icons coming and posting in this area of the forum as if they were in their own forum. Oh well that is life isn't it. Guess if they feel they belong then I reckon they should change their icon. But then they couldn't go posting in the other forums any more without making their post a question, now could they.

I haven't been coming around much anyhow. I'll be around but probably as much as I have been lately, not too often.

I view CF much like a modern day version of the Areopagus where people talk about life and hopefully with a little more substance to their point of view. I average just about 1 post per day because usually something someone writes somewhere has some greater meaning the prompts me to reply. Perhaps there is some profit in that?

Thank you Lulav,

I will pray each and everyday.

“יהוה bless you and guard you; יהוה make His face shine upon you, and show favour to you; יהוה lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.”

Baruch HaShem! Very happy to hear that Tag! I hope it continues, past what you expected. Remember to pray everyday before you start, the enemy will always want to tempt you and wants to beat you down, so pray yourself up and be strong in him that you may withstand the enemies darts. :)
I am very happy to say it will continue past what I expected. For one the person I am working with has similar beliefs and is not a non-believer. And also he doesn't expect me to work on Shabbat but has enough work to keep me busy 6 out of the 7 days each week.

Thank you all for your prayers.

To top that off I have found someone else to do a lot of work for as a handyman.

I'm back from my three month vacation. Ha ha. What would you like to talk about? Tell me about being on Facebook. Every Time I go to those sites all I find is idle and mindless chatter.

Hi JudaicChristian,

Three months of vacation, Wow! Did that make you lazy or what :p jk.

Well it isn't like a forum and therefore the only way you can know someone posted something is to be their friend and get email notices. And yes at times it sure looks like endless chatter.

Well, I'm a Messi and Messi enough for the Christians for the most part on these forums to reject me, am I MJ enough for you to talk to? :)

LOL I hear ya on that one. I frequent another part of the forum most 'cause that's where I seem to fit in the most, however, my little scroll icon still draws flack. It's interesting how many will respond to me on what they "think" a Messi believes instead of what is really believed. It's difficult in my area of the country to be as Messi as I would like but little by little I'm becoming more so.

I am also aligning myself with Messianic Judaism because it is the closest to what describes how I believe, but there are somethings that I would love to see the body embrace, and other things I would like to see the body shed. But that is still on the prayer list.

LOL, I have had the same problem here but not very often over the past 5 years. People sometimes treat you differently based on ones icon rather than the content of your message. Usually the most offensive move on.

I guess it's a form of "religious profiling" :)

What ever comes to mind at the time I'm on. But most of the time I mainly read others posts and at times when I find one I like I share it on my wall.
I do have one friend from Australia that I talk to everyday. Sometimes sharing what I think about something that she asks me about in scripture. I anticipate Our Brother's return to rule and bring truth to the World that His and Our Father taught to Moshe and other people he chose to teach His Righteousness to. Our Brother Y'shua, The appointed King and the only begotten Son who is first into The Father's Kingdom.

Im taking a trip over to Southern Oregon today, I will be away for three to five days. I wrote a article called "Allah is not the God of Abraham," but it may have been removed because of the complaining Muslims. Ill talk to you more when I get back. Check out the thread if it is still here. Bye for now.
