Do any of you ever watch TBN?

If so, which programs on there do you watch?

There are a lot of them. Some, I don't care for, but some are really great. I really enjoy Jesse Duplantis, and Jentezen Franklin (Kingdom Connection), Jack VanImpe, Dr David Jeremiah, Drive Thru History (really cool one, about bible history), Today with Marilyn & Sarah (awesome show!), and they show the classic Billy Graham crusades from the 50s, 60s, 70s, which is so great to see, also we love Grant Jeffrey whose show is all about bible prophecy/history/current events, and so many more of them that we enjoy.

If you watch, which ones do you like? I won't list the ones that I don't care for but I leave it up to you if you want to do that. We can discuss. I thought this would be a good topic for discussing recent programs on TBN that we are watching or will be watching soon.

Meh, I don't like TBN at all really... the ONLY thing I actually thought was interesting and worth watching on there was Drive Thru History... I really liked that... but I think that actually aired on the History Channel first so it's not really a TBN original (I could be mistaken though... I just thought I remembered a bunch of non-religious people making a stink about it because it presented biblical history as fact (which was fine with them) and aired it on the History Channel (which was not because they saw it as the HC giving the program credibility which to them, it was not)). I wish they had a more adult oriented version of Drive Thru History though... DTH just kind of scratches the surface and they have this goofy host making stupid jokes and he's not funny =/ Wish they were more in depth and serious. More interviews and stuff from historians and stuff would have been cool too.

No. Not to get on a soapbox, per the OP's request, but I think the owners of that station are more interested in making money than anything else.

I agree, and I have a fair bit of rant in me to stand on the soap box myself...
but to respect the OP I won't.
I'll just say I have boycotted the station and I tell very Christian I know to stay away from TBN for very good reason.

When I was first saved I used to watch it all the time. Now I rarely if ever watch any Christian channels (Daystar, TBN, etc). Instead I like to listen to sermons and read the Bible.

I just found it left my spirit in a state of unease when I watched some of those shows. So I stopped.

Will occasionally watch a Billy Graham Classic every now and then.

Would like to see BGC's on DVD, but don't know if the Graham family would authorize them.

During the early 1990s, I gandered at their Saturday morning lineup. Something called Filling Station and it's closing animation (a driverless car stopping at gas pumps with "FREE BIBLE" where the gas prices/amount filled would be) still stick in my mind.

Ever heard of/remember Filling Station?

MDCSWildcats86 - I also mainly watch BG but I have seen in the classic sermon from the 80's he began to teach that hell is not a real place of torment and fire but darkness and the absence of Jesus. He begins to become more liberal in his theology. I still like to listen to him.

I don't know about filling station but I loved Charity and the crew from Cananda on Faithville, Gospel Bill - they both ministered to me.

I just love any of the shows where they are sitting on golden thrones and praying over stacks of pledge cards and begging for more money. Don't you think that it just brings people so much closer to God and really does a great job of spreading the Gospel?

You should be a preacher:preach:. You know how to make truth seem so obvious that anyone can see it.

I occasionally watch a few things, but have typically been turned off by the odd look of Jan Crouch and the extravagant looks I see with a lot of people on the network. There seems to be a fixation of the Holy Land Experience themepark, which reminds me of the Bakers and what they did with Heritage USA.

Whenever I see televangelists I think of nothing more than someone trying to sell hope. Especially when you have "Dollar" right in your name.

I see these massive mega-churches and think, "Boy, I'm in the wrong line of work".
