1. How do I have a solid relationship with JESUS

Jesus simply asks that we obey him, if we do that our relationship with him will stay strong.

John 15:10
If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.

John 15:4
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

Whenever I sin, I feel like I have distanced my self from God. It is only after I repent and begin obeying him again do I feel him drawing close to me again.

Communication is also an important part of any relationship. How often do you talk to God? You don't need to pray only when your needing something. We should all have prayerful mindsets being able praise God for things in our lives whenever we want to.

Look to Jesus's relationship with his Father, as I quoted previously, he remains in the Father's love because he obeys him. But look also at how often they communicated:

Luke 6:12
One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.

2. Can any of you out there tell me how you commuicate with the LORD AND LISTEN TOO

How do we communicate with God? Well we are in a relationship with God so it is ok to call God our father. Simply talk to him, you don't have to say big words, or impressive speeches. God quite simply wants you to tell him what is on your heart. Our Father is caring, in fact he cares for you more than you care for yourself!

Matthew 6:7-8
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

When we have finished what we want to say to God, it is good and right to ask for things or thank him for things in the name of his son. As it was he who made this relationship possible.

My desire is to GODS WILL. But how do I know what HE'S WILL IS

Luke 10:27
He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

And how do we show God our love? By obeying him.

John 14:15
"If you love me, you will obey what I command."

Pray how Jesus taught us to and be open for what comes.

Luke 11:2–4

And he said to them, "When you pray, say: 'Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation."

And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.
I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needs.
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.
If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
<-----> Luke 11:5-13

importunity - persistence in requesting

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but ye know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.
<-----> John 14:14-17

... The anointing which ye have received of him abides in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. <-----> 1st John 2:27

How beautiful you expressed yourself to me through our Lord JESUS CHRIST.

No guilt of things of the pass; just to repent only by asking JESUS to help me live the way HE wants me too.

JESUS has spoken through HIS children like you and those on this forum ~ Thank YOU JESUS

From now on it's THE LORD JESUS & me; as I try with HIS help to gets closer to HIM and do HIS will. Amen.

Thank You Again

Dear Schooner,

Getting to know Jesus Christ is similar to getting to know a new friend. The more time you spend with Him, the more time you spend hearing Him through His word, and the more time you communicate to Him through prayer (which includes speaking to Him and listening to Him in your heart--as you pray and meditate on scripture) the better you will get to know Him, and the more delight you will have in being with Him.

You cannot spend time with Jesus Christ in this fashion very long before extreme love for Him will fill your heart and life, and ultimately overflow to others. Be patient with yourself as you grow in Christ's love. The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and joy, if you seek the Lord with all your heart and mind, body and soul.

In the beginning of a Christian journey, especially, it is vitally important to become very familiar with the NT, which is the written revelation of Jesus Christ, Who is the living Word. It is important to stay in the Word throughout the Christian journey, but you need the initial foundation so you will understand the great provision Christ has made for those who will follow Him unto regeneration, sanctification, justification. It is All Jesus.

Blessings and prayers.

To get to know Jesus is easy and it is hard.

Easy for all you have to do is have faith in Him and He is with you and in you. He speaks The Words of The Bible in love for God, self and neighbour right within your heart.

However in your walk with Jesus you will find that there is Satan, the boss of your sinful nature - not pleased you walking off with Light.

So the devil will try and stop you - in the shape of the Accuser - where as god of this world he will try and conquer your freedom in Christ and tie you to socio-religious duties(Serving that ever numbering Beast) for the rest of your time down here. On The other hand he will use your fallen reality to rebel against the Dragon and make you persist in some sin, primarily through getting you to listen to unfaithful voice suggesting untruthful and unloving things.

For you it is to die to sin through this process - at times people get stuck here and forget to follow Christ from here on. A miserable ending usually, but if you persist seeking after Christ and learning to heed Him - He will take you to spiritual paradise!

For if you heed Christ's forgiving love and experience His liberating love, then it will become easier and easier to hand Him your fallen reality and letting Him work it out for you - where you die to sin - because you love to stop and be a God fearing individual in all your ways. This is the best way to get to know Him - heed Him in your heart - He speaks The Word in Love for God, yourself and neighbour and His Kingdom grows when you sow The Good Seed - longing to have God's good dwell in your life -make sure you grow a good size crop.

He is awesomely beautiful - a better Friend you never find. He taught me to love even myself in The End, an impossible thing for me to do until recently.

Be of good courage

Gerry

(Hear Jesus speak these Words in your inner world of being!)

Rev 1:4b-8

Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.
To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
Look, he is coming with the clouds,
and every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him;
and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.

"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."

1. How do I have a solid relationship with JESUS

As Whitney Houston sings, go to the Rock of your Salvation & stay there. YouTube - Whitney Houston - I Go To The Rock

2a. Can any of you out there tell me how you commuicate with the LORD AND LISTEN TOO
Communicating with the LORD is quiet simple because He is everywhere & never sleeps.
The LORD hears your thoughts, but also likes to hear your voice.
So whether you: think it, speak it, shout it, sing it, He hears it & answers in His perfect time.
I once heard someone say they pulled out an empty chair & spoke toward it as if the LORD was sitting in it. For who's to say He wasn't?

2b. My desire is to GODS WILL. But how do I know what HE'S WILL IS

God makes His will known in various ways.
Our job is to keep our physical & spiritual eyes & ears open.
God's will often defies logic.
If you are unsure what God's will is, ASK Him to make it clear & He will.
God speaks to His children in various ways.
This includes:
verbally - like with Samuel, through His creatures - like with Baalum,
through His Holy Word/Bible, etc.

Our job is to get & stay atuned to His frequency & listen.

when you have a new friend how do you get to know them? you ask questions spend time together, etc. I would suggest that you pray as often as possible and if you listen very closly you will be able to hear him speak to you. I think some have already answered this question very well. I hope I could help a little bit

Dear schooner1. You had some good replies, here is what I did. The Bible tells us that Jesus stands at the door of our hearts. He knocks and we answer: " Come in dearest Saviour. Lead me whereever I go, and whatever I say. Take my lips and let them be, filled with messages from Thee." Jesus lives in my heart and is my constant Friend and Teacher. I ask, listen, follow and thank Him day after day. I say this humbly and grateful. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

Hi again...remember God is your friend talk to Him daily( prayer )

If you have felt the desire to share the gospel here is a simple plan ...it is called the four spiritual laws

God Loves The World Just as there are physical laws that govern the physical universe,
so are there spiritual laws which govern your relationship with God.

1. God LOVES you and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life.
(References contained on this page are from the Bible and should be read in context wherever possible.)
God's Love
"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall
not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 NIV).
God's Plan
[Christ speaking] "I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly"
[that it might be full and meaningful] (John 10:10).
Why is it that most people are not experiencing the abundant life?
Because...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Man is SINFUL and SEPARATED from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's
love and plan for his life.
Man Is Sinful
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
Man was created to have fellowship with God; but, because of his stubborn self-will, he chose to go his
own independent way, and fellowship with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of
active rebellion or passive indifference, is evidence of what the Bible calls sin.
Man Is Separated
"The wages of sin is death" [spiritual separation from God] (Romans 6:23).

HOLY GOD <--- -Gulf separating - ----< SINFUL MAN

This diagram illustrates that God is holy and man is sinful. A great gulf separates the two.
The arrows illustrate that a man is continually trying to reach God and the abundant life through
his own efforts, such as a good life, philosophy, or religion - but he inevitably fails.
The third law explains the only way to bridge this gulf...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's
love and plan for your life.
He Died in Our Place
"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us"
(Romans 5:8).
He Rose From the Dead
"Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures...
He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred..."
(1 Corinthians 15:3-6).
He Is the Only Way to God
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me'"
(John 14:6).

GOD
| |
| |
JESUS
| |
| |
MAN

This diagram illustrates that God has bridged the gulf which separates us from Him by sending His Son,
Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins.
It is not enough just to know these three laws...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's
love and plan for our lives.
We Must Receive Christ
"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe
in His name" (John 1:12).
We Receive Christ Through Faith
"By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a
result of works, that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9).
When We Receive Christ, We Experience a New Birth
(Read John 3:1-8)
We Receive Christ by Personal Invitation
[Christ speaking] "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him" (Revelation 3:20).
Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our
lives to forgive our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for your sins is not enough. Nor is it
enough to have an emotional experience. You receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will.
These two DIAGRAMS represent two kinds of lives:
|
|SELF cHRIST
|
|-----
| |
| |
1. The Self-directed life
Self is on the throne. Interests are directed by self, resulting indiscord and frustration.
Christ is outside the person's life.

|
|
|CHRIST sELF
|-----
| |
| |
2. The Christ-directed life
Christ is on the throne. Self is yielding to Christ. Interests are directed by Christ,
resulting in harmony with God's plan.

Which DIAGRAM best describes your life?
Which DIAGRAM would you like to have represent your life?
The following explains how you can receive Christ:

You can receive Christ right now by faith through prayer:
(Prayer is talking to God)
God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude
of your heart. The following is a suggested prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my
life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal
life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be."
Does this prayer express the desire of your heart?
If it does, I invite you to pray this prayer right now and Christ will come into your life,
as He promised.
Did you pray this prayer?
YES I still have questions YOU CAN CALL PASTOR TRAVIS AT
Verse of the Day
“The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being,
sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins,
he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”

- Hebrews 1:3

Good bye and God bless,

It is doing what says says not just believing!

So please love The Lord firstly in all your ways - good or bad - for Jesus died for the righteous as well as the unrighteous! To love God is a heartfelt longing to worship, serve and be with Him.

Rule your own heart with God's loving truth as adviser - this means you follow the The Truth of God's Word in the Spirit of love, faith and hope! This also means you read the Bible with your heart and not just with your mind - for both need to be renewed - for only in The S(s)pirit of Loving Truth - our Heavenly Father's and Brother's Spirit in us (John 14 & 15) - can we dress ourselves with the eternal

Please long for salvation for EVERY HUMAN - and never send anyone to Hell - but the wicked who robbed us of our truthful and good life within and keep us from God's loving paradise!

:preach:This is what Jesus loves us to do - preach the Good News to everyone - loving, forgiving and respecting them as we ourselves want to be loved, forgiven and respected - and so bring true peace and honest love alive within sinful humanity once more.

He wants our religious worship to be focussed firstly on walking in His footsteps heeding The Living Word within - caring for those down trodden, left to die, hated, persecuted because of gender, race, age, or conviction. Supporting those fatherless and those rejected by the system as no good - be they the physical or mentally handicapped, or those who have become addicted to God's created good, or those convicted of crimes against the systems through unjust laws and regulations, or those pesnioned off because the system rejects most of there usefulness, labelling and categorising, with their numbering beastly machine - even those condemned to die - indeed them in particular.

Oh wouldn't it be great when the Dragon and his Beast are exposed as the culprits behind the destruction of God's good Creation - even in our souls!

So let's love evil to death - like Jesus did - until all flesh serves Him!

What bliss will such bring? Unspeakable goodness is on our way - Jesus is Coming Soon - that much I know:clap::clap::clap:

Know the Living Word - that is The Bible on the table - and Love in your heart - speaking God's truth to your inner being - in all your ways - for if the word accuses go to Jesus and be saved, if it encourages and teaches know that He is alive - trust no one else to tell you how to go about your life with regards to anything.

Walk through the book of Revelation (for example) a few times and you will begin to understand those wheels of salvation within your own reality and join the great assembly praising God.

Watch out for those anti-Christ! They tell will you that serving Christ will fulfil your mortal longings and desires(Rev 16 has those frogs croaking) - where serving the flesh is the focus - or that you must obey rules and regulations - serving the Dragon(Rev 18) - that abomination. Also watch-out for unfaithful self - There is an ugly harlot hiding behind all that and if we follow lawless thinking we will be eaten by The Dragon and burned with fire (rev 17)

In effect it is here that you must start firstly - selfishness, greed, hidden in dark parts - at the end of the line - and honest love for God and neighbour up front!

And so truly be free!

The question(s) are:

1. How do I have a solid relationship with JESUS

2. Can any of you out there tell me how you commuicate with the LORD AND LISTEN TOO

My desire is to GODS WILL. But how do I know what HE'S WILL IS

I read HIS word everyday and listen to Christian Radio Pastors. I'm Born Again Christian.

1st: Realize that you are a sinner. "For all have sinned and fallen short of God's Glory!"

2nd: Remember that someone MUST die for your sins, for the Bible says: "For the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of God is Eternal Life in Jesus Christ Our Lord!" So, simply, you can either die for your own sins and be eternally separated from God or Ask forgiveness to the LORD God himself through Jesus Christ and have faith on Jesus Christ that Jesus Christ died for you! The Crucifixion was the most terrible painful cruel way to kill prisoners during that day and no other type of capitol punishment can come close to what Jesus did for us.

3rd: Remember Jesus "became sin for us." For Elohim (God) loved the world (You) that he gave his only begotten son (Yeshua/Jesus), that whosoever believes on Him (That means you), should not perish (That means to be eternally separated from God), but have everlasting life! (That means to be Eternally united with The LORD God and Jesus Christ FOREVER!)

4: If you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and on the third day raised, ask HIM to come into your heart and go to a good Bible Believing church and give your testimony of faith in Christ to the pastor and ask him to consul you and ask to be baptized.

5: If you don't have a Bible, most churches will give you a Bible. Please read the Gospel of John and then the Letter of Paul to the Romans and also Acts of The Apostles. Every book of the Bible is important!

6: Jesus said: "Blessed is the one who hasn't seen me, yet he believes!"

That is important friend. God loves you and so do I and may God Bless You and the Nation and state of Israel!
