I was wondering if Luke 21 fits into all this ?

6As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
7And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
8And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
9But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
10Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
13And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
18But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
19In your patience possess ye your souls.
20And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
29And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

The false prophets have led many of the people of the church through the wide gate and broad way to ruin. This state of “destruction” is the lack of love for each other......war, the divisions, the strife and envy, the coveting after the things of this world. All these things are perpetuated by the false teachers in our pulpits by preaching what they think is the Truth of the Bible.

(Mat 7:13 KJV) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

They say they are “Christ”.....that they are anointed with the Truth of the Scriptures. They say they are the preachers of the righteousness of God... they have deceived many. Their false teachings produce the “war” within the church....they produce denominations, strife and envy, covetousness. They use the “high pressure” sales tactic....saying that the “time draws near”....you need to be with our theology....you need to believe our thoughts and ways. They seek to terrify the people of God with their teachings....they use “hell” and other teachings to keep control over the flock. They are the “sons of Heth”...the sons of terror. Abraham stated that he is a stranger and a sojourner with the sons of “Heth”..... “terror.” Not only was this literal but also spiritual....for all of the Scriptures have been strangers and sojourners with the preachers of terror.

(Gen 23:4 KJV) I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

(Luke 21:8 KJV) And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

The false prophets preach the earthly, lower wisdom of what they think the Bible is saying....and so lead many astray into hurtful, destructive ways. They lead them away from love for one another and into war with each other. As James says, “this wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.”

(James 3:14 KJV) But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

The “wars” and fighting among the “nations”...are the wars among the churches...among the people of God. This is an accurate description of the state of the churches today. It was predicted by the Lord....and has been according to His plan. His plan is to ultimately to show forgiveness to us... to show us His mercy ....to display His glory...to show the Light from the darkness.

4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

James wrote this letter to the 12 “tribes” of Israel. One of the meanings for “nation” can be “tribe.” The “tribes” are scattered abroad....the church has been scattered by the wolves in sheep’s clothing....false prophets. “Nation” against “nation.’ There has been the “pestilence” and “famine” in the church.

(James 1:1 KJV) James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

As Paul says, we come together in our churches not for the better, but for the worse. There are divisions...wars and fighting.

(1 Cor 11:17 KJV) Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

We were to love one another....but when the churches come together, they do not show love for each other...they war and fight over who is correct in their interpretation of the Bible. And as a result many are “sick” and “asleep.”

(1 Cor 11:30 KJV) For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

Many live in denominations...in a state of destruction. They hate one another...and this hate is brought on by those false teachers who seek to deceive....saying that they are Christ.

(Mat 24:10 KJV) And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

But there is forgiveness with the Lord for these things. The Lord comes to open up the Scriptures so that we may know our sins and confess them. The gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all of the world....not with man’s wisdom...as evident by all of the denominations, but in God’s wisdom.....the eternal gospel.

(Mat 24:14 KJV) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The “daily sacrifice” has been taken away by the false prophets. The “daily sacrifice” is to love one another. That is the “doctrine of Christ” that they should be preaching. The deceiver is one who does not follow the Lord’s commandment of loving one another. He may call himself “Christ” but if he preaches division, then he is a deceiver and removes the “daily sacrifice” from those that accept his words.

(2 John 1:5 KJV) And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Jesus Christ came to lay down his life for us...this showed his love for us.

(John 15:13 KJV) Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

And he left us the commandment to love one another. We show Christ is come in our flesh by loving one another. We show his sacrifice for us by keeping the “daily sacrifice” to love one another.

(John 13:34 KJV) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

We are to owe love daily for each other.

(Rom 13:8 KJV) Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Because of the increase of iniquity in the church, the love of many has grown cold. ...the “daily sacrifice” had been taken away as spoken by Daniel...by reason of transgression. Divisions...war...envy....strife have been the norm.

(Mat 24:12 KJV) And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

But at the “consummation,” that which is determined shall be poured upon the desolate. The desolators themselves will suffer desolation. They have desolated people and the Word with their own wisdom but now the desolators will suffer desolation.

(Dan 9:27 KJV) And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The desolation of the wicked comes. Those who trust in the Lord....who escape to His mountain of righteousness....shall be safe.

(Prov 3:25 KJV) Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

The Lord comes with His armies to judge and make war in His righteousness....with the sharp sword of the Scripture of Truth.

(Rev 19:14 KJV) And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

We are to do to others as we would have them do to us....that is the law and the prophets. The Law wasn’t destroyed by Christ but fulfilled....we also fulfill the Law and the prophets by loving each other. That is the “new commandment” given by Christ....the “doctrine of Christ” that we are to adhere to. To love each other is the “daily sacrifice.”

(Mat 7:12 KJV) Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

But the false prophets seek to remove that “daily sacrifice” from the people of God. They come preaching their own form of “righteousness” in order to divide people into factions. They lead the sheep astray....away from the “new commandment.” Their words have made the churches what they are today.... places where there are divisions, envy, strife, covetousness. Many have entered into these places of destruction.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

They come in sheep’s clothing.....preaching righteousness that isn’t true righteousness. They are ravening wolves inward.

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

They preach “Christ of contention”.....they preach Christ of envy and strife. They don’t preach Christ sincerely.

(Phil 1:15 KJV) Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

The people that live under their influence live as babes in Christ.....they live as carnal and not spiritual. There is envying and strife and divisions among those who listen and agree with the teachings of false teachers. The false teachers strive about words that profit not. They seek to “subvert” their hearers.

(2 Tim 2:14 KJV) Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

They walk as men....men of the flesh....carnal. They deceive others into walking through the wide gate of ruin....down the broad street to “death” and “hades.”

(1 Cor 3:1 KJV) And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

But the Lord’s sacrifice has and continues to cleanse us from all sins....that have been done out of the ignorance of the Scripture of Truth. The covenant is strengthened with “many” for “one week.”

“One week” = one “seven.” The “seven” are the seven churches (all of us).....the seven candlesticks. Even though we have all gone astray....the Lord is faithful and has forgiven us of our sins that have been committed in ignorance. Even though Christ is preached with contention, strife, and envy, he still walks in the midst. As Paul stated, even if Christ is being preached in pretence, he is still being preached.

(Rev 2:1 KJV) Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

We keep the covenant when we love each other....we keep the “new commandment”....the “doctrine of Christ.” The false prophets preach the Word of God as a cover for their covetousness....they handle the Word of God deceitfully. They preach for the “hidden things of dishonesty”....they walk in “craftiness” to deceive the poor in spirit....to lead them down the wrong path.

(2 Cor 4:2 KJV) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

(2 Cor 2:17 KJV) For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

They seek to overcome their hearers with their false, feigned words of “righteousness.” They seek to be against the “holy covenant”.....they seek to lead others away from love for one another. They are more interested in the “great riches” that come with preaching the Word of God deceitfully. Where there are divisions, strife and envy among the people, there is opportunity for unjust gain....to harvest riches from their followers. Where there is strife and envy, there is confusion and every evil work...works of darkness.
(Dan 11:28 KJV) Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.

The false prophets rule over many....they divide the land for gain....they cause divisions for their own unjust gain. Many have entered through their gates.....the broad street that leads to ruin. They misuse the Word of God for their deceit. With the literal, outward appearance of the Word, they have power to deceive. They turn the “stone” of the Scriptures into the bread of deceit.

(Dan 11:38 KJV) But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

They that seek to be rich in their churches fall into temptation and a snare...they are deceived by false prophets who snare them with their words. Men are drowned in “destruction and perdition” by many foolish and hurtful lusts. They enter through the wide gate of destruction.

(1 Tim 6:9 KJV) But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But our Lord has the keys of “Hades and death” to let his church escape from the influence of the false prophets....from their power of “death”...from “destruction”....from strife, envy, hatred, divisions which most of the church has lived in.

(Rev 1:18 KJV) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

He gives us the knowledge to understand our current condition so that we may overcome those who have taken us captive with their words and influence. We are to know these things by the revelation of Jesus Christ....who is the Truth, the Way and the Life. He is merciful and will forgive us for the things we have done in ignorance of the Truth.

(1 Pet 1:13 KJV) Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

We are to obey His Truth....to cast off the works of darkness. We are to no longer fashion ourselves by how we have done “church” in the former “lusts of our ignorance.”

14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

We are not redeemed with the corruptible things that we do and believe. The traditions of the church fathers are vain.

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

With the revelation of the Truth, the Way and the Life, we are to put off the former behavior of the old man of religion who lives in divisions, strife, envy, covetousness.....the “destruction.”

(Eph 4:22 KJV) That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

We are to put on the “new man” which is created in true righteousness....not the “righteousness” of the wolves in sheep’s clothing. We are to do to be created a new man of TRUE holiness.

24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

We are all members of one another.....not divisions....not denominations.

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

We are to no longer live the rest of our time in the flesh to the lusts of men.....to the lusts of false prophets who have led many down the wrong path.

(1 Pet 4:2 KJV) That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

For in the time past of our lives....in our church lives, we have spent the time living under the lusts of false prophets who have led astray away from the commandment to love one another. We, as churches, have walked in “lusts”.... in lusts of men who covet the things of this life.

3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

When we overcome these things and these people, they will think it “strange” that we no longer run with them in that path of destruction. They will speak evil of those who clean escape from them...from those who live in error of the Truth.

4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

We, ourselves, were sometimes foolish and disobedient....deceived by false prophets who have led us astray after hurtful lusts.

(Titus 3:3 KJV) For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

They have led us astray after their “works of righteousness”....which are really works of darkness. But His mercy shall deliver us from them....by the “washing of regeneration”.....the revealed Truth....renewing of the Holy Spirit within us.

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

We were “dead in trespass and sins”....we have lived in divisions, strife, envying and covetousness....to the will of ungodly men among us. But He will save us from them in His mercy....He will quicken us TOGETHER with Christ. We are not saved by our church works of darkness.....error.

(Eph 2:1 KJV) And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:

We ALL had our conversation in times past in the lusts of the flesh.....fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind.....as a church living in division, envy and strife.

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved

By the revelation of Jesus...the Truth, the Way and the Life, we are able to overcome these things that hinder us. We are to obey that Truth when it comes so that we may be saved from the wrath of God that comes upon those who do not receive the love of the Truth.

(Rev 21:7 KJV) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

They will continue to live according to the fashion of the corruptible old man of religion. They will not put on Christ Jesus and be saved. There will be those who will be “fearful” of losing their positions in the current order of religion...they will fear what others think if they left their church for the Truth...they will fear the “persecutions” by those who would think it strange if you no longer ran with them. There will be those who will not believe in the Truth and be saved. They will stubbornly cling on to the wisdom of men. They will exchange the revealed Truth of God for a lie. There will be those who say they love God but will continue to hate their brothers.....the “murderers” and the “liars.” They will continue to strive with each other over words that profit not. There will be those who continue to preach the Word of God for deceit....the “sorcerers” who change the “stone” into the bread of deceit. There will be those who will continue to covet after riches...the “idolaters.”

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

The Lord sends us His wisdom and knowledge...the revelation of Jesus Christ.

(Prov 2:10 KJV) When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

By His revelation, we are delivered from the way of the evil man....from the false prophets who have led many down the path of destruction. He has the keys of “Hades and death”....to deliver those who have been living in terror under the false prophets.

12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;

The false prophets’ ways are crooked:

15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:

We are to be delivered from the “strange woman”...the woman Babylon.

16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.

Sorry for the delay ,Wheeler we have been so busy with the garden and visiting both Moms in the homes .. a bit stresssed ..
but thought of this chapter after reading your last posts
and how it goes on the explain in detail the reasons for error, they did not love the knowledge of the Truth nor had any fear of the Lord in them !
so the'' Wisdom'' of the Lord was not able to reside/ dwell in them ...and cannot help but think of how ''faith '' comes by hearing what the Spirit is saying

Proverbs 1

1The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
2To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
3To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
4To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
5A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
6To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
7The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
8My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
9For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
10My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
11If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
12Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
13We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
14Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
15My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
16For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
17Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
18And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.
19So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
20Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:
21She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,
22How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
23Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
24Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
26I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
29For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
30They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
31Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
32For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. 33But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Hi Chickapee,

no need to apologize! Planting a garden sounds fun....maybe? Spring time up north was always my favorite time of the year. Down here in s fl it just jumps immediately to summer...not much of a transition really.

Love the book of Proverbs. Proverbs goes way beyond the simple, face meanings.

We are to hear our earthly father and mother.....but we are also to hear the instruction of our Father in heaven...His instruction. The “mother” is the wisdom of God....the mother of us all....heavenly Jerusalem.

(Prov 1:8 KJV) My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

In Proverbs 1:11, we see what the false prophets do...they “lurk privily” ....they “hide” their motivations by preaching the Word deceitfully. They snare the poor in spirit with their words....the innocent have suffered under their influence. We are not to join in with them in taking advantage of those who know no better.

(Prov 1:11 KJV) If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:

They “swallow” up them “alive” as the “grave.” The word “grave” is “Sheol”.... “Hades”.... “hell.” The false prophets swallow up those they deceive as “hell”....as those that go down into the pit. The gate is wide and the road broad and many enter in to destruction with their words of the “grave.” They have the “power of death” in their words...and they keep their prisoners in the “pit.” That is why Jesus...the Truth...has the keys of “death” and the “grave.” He will release those poor from their influence...their thoughts and ways.

12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:

And the reason why they snare the poor in spirit is for unjust gain.....to fill their “houses with spoil”.....to “find all precious substance.”

13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:

God sends us His wisdom and knowledge.....to show us our present spiritual condition.....to show us the true Way of righteousness. With His understanding, we can depart from evil men....from the woman Babylon. We are to come out of religious Babylon....where there is confusion, envy and strife, hatred and every evil work. The Spirit of Wisdom will be poured out to those who hear the Spirit and turn at His reproof. But there will be those who will not listen.

(Prov 1:23 KJV) Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

Wisdom shall call us....there will be a “trumpet”.....but those who refuse the Truth will find desolation, destruction, distress and anguish.

24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

They will hate the knowledge of God. They will stubbornly cling on to the wisdom of man that they use to get rich with.

29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

They will not hear the “sound of the trumpet”.....they will refuse to the hear the call of God’s wisdom, Truth and knowledge.

(Jer 6:17 KJV) Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

The “fruit of their thoughts” shall be brought upon them....their own evil shall come upon them because the reject the words of God. The “law” is the word “torah”....which means INSTRUCTION. The instruction is for the wicked to correct themselves with.

18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.
19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.

Those that will hate the revealed knowledge of God and turn from His reproof will be given over to a reprobate mind to be filled with all unrighteousness...... wickedness burns as a fire.

(Rom 1:28 KJV) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

The wicked in the church can turn from their wickedness and be saved. The Lord shall have mercy upon him....and abundantly pardon his sins.

(Isa 55:7 KJV) Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

But those who continue on in their wickedness....observing lying vanities....forsake their own mercy.

(Jonah 2:8 KJV) They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

Those who continue on in being unjust ways and filth, shall be left in his unjustness and filth still. ...as it says in Revelation. Those that refuse the Wisdom of God shall be left to perish in their own wickedness......that will be their “reward” for turning their ears from the Truth.

(Rev 22:11 KJV) He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Wickedness shall overthrow the sinner....those who will refuse the Truth will suffer from the rejected mind of all unrighteousness.....weeping and gnashing of teeth....no peace.

(Prov 13:6 KJV) Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.

The wicked will be driven away in his own wickedness....because he does not receive the love for the Truth when it comes.

(Prov 14:32 KJV) The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

The wicked shall fall by his own wickedness because he will not love the Truth....the Wisdom of God.

(Prov 11:5 KJV) The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

Those that love the Truth will do the Truth.....and they shall be delivered from the false prophets who have taken them captive.

6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

The wickedness of the wicked shall be revealed for all to see.

(Prov 26:25 KJV) When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.
26 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be showed before the whole congregation.

The wicked shall resist the Truth of God....but they shall proceed no further for their folly shall be revealed for all men to see. The “man of sin” shall be revealed.

(2 Tim 3:8 KJV) Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

Those that refuse the counsel of Christ Jesus shall have his shame revealed for all to see. We are to turn from our wickedness when He reproves us.

(Rev 3:18 KJV) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

We are to trust in the wisdom of God....and not the wisdom of earthly, religious man.

(Prov 28:26 KJV) He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

We are not to put our trust in man....whose religious teachings are in error of God’s Truth. It is better to trust in the Lord.....His preaching....His wisdom....His knowledge than to trust in “princes”......our pastors, priests, reverends, etc who resist the Truth.

(Psa 118:8 KJV) It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
10 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.

The righteous shall see the folly of those who will not make God their strength...but instead put their trust in their riches and strengthen themselves in their wickedness. Men of corrupt mind will resist the Truth when it is revealed. But their shame shall be revealed to all.

(Psa 52:6 KJV) The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

They will not deny their works and teachings for the Truth of the Lord. Instead, they will seek to build that tower of pride against it.....to resist the Truth.

(Luke 14:27 KJV) And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

But the righteous shall see that they will not be able to finish that tower. ...they shall “mock:” This is the man who began to build but was not able to finish. This is the man who did not make God his strength. This is the man that trusts in the abundance of his riches and strengthened himself in his wickedness (the tower.)

29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

The wicked are counseled by the Lord to cease being wise in their own eyes...and to fear the Lord and depart from evil. The pastor, priest, reverend who turns from his own thoughts and ways to His thoughts and ways will receive mercy and abundantly forgiveness for leading others astray.....for unjust gain...for covetousness.

(Prov 3:7 KJV) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Let the leader who has taken advantage of the innocent...those poor in spirit....steal no more. Depart from evil....and labor in that thing which is good. Preach the Word of Truth in Spirit to those who need to hear it. Feed the sheep.

(Eph 4:28 KJV) Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

The “unjust steward” can depart from evil...can lighten the burden of those under him. The unjust steward can stop stealing from the flock. One cannot preach the Word of God and continue to covet after riches. The unjust steward can preach the Word of God out of sincerity in all Truth rather than feigned, covetous words of “righteousness . “

(Luke 16:1 KJV) And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
3 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
5 So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
6 And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
7 Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.
8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Wisdom has built her house. God’s wisdom has built the house of Israel.

(Prov 9:1 KJV) Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

The “house” is the house of Israel as written in the Scriptures. It is the “body” that has been prepared.....all those from Abel to the disciples of Jesus represent collectively the “body” or “house” that the wisdom of God has built.....in Christ Jesus. We are to be built upon that foundation. In Proverbs, God’s wisdom is personified as a woman.....a mother....a sister....a wife. If we look at the matriarchs of Israel, we find that they represent heavenly wisdom.....they are the “seven pillars” as mentioned in Proverbs.

The wisdom of God has built the house through the matriarchs of Israel.

The first “pillar” would be Eve....the mother of all the “living.” God is God of the “living”....those who believe and know God. The “house” started to be built through Eve.

(Gen 3:20 KJV) And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

The next “pillar” would be Sarah. Through Sarah was the house of Israel to be built.

(Gen 17:15 KJV) And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.
16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

The covenant was established with Isaac who Sarah did bear:

(Gen 17:21 KJV) But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

We are to call the wisdom of God our “sister:”

(Prov 7:4 KJV) Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:

Abram called Sarai his “sister”.....which signifies that Sarah is a representation of God’s heavenly wisdom. We are to receive God’s heavenly wisdom over man’s wisdom (the other woman) .....so that our “soul shall live.” It will be well with our souls if we humbly accept God’s wisdom.

(Gen 12:13 KJV) Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.

We are to hear the voice of wisdom....all that she is to say....just as Abraham was instructed to listen to the voice of Sarah:

(Gen 21:12 KJV) And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

We are to hear the “voice” of wisdom....who is the mother of us all. In heavenly Jerusalem is freedom from the bondage of man’s understanding and doctrines.

(Prov 8:1 KJV) Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
2 She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
3 She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

We are to hear everything she says....just as Abraham was instructed by God to hear everything Sarah said.

6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

Rebekah is the next pillar who represents wisdom. She is a “sister” and the “mother of thousands of millions:”

(Gen 24:60 KJV) And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

As it was said to Rebekah, “thou art our sister.” We are also to call heavenly wisdom our “sister.” Isaac also called Rebekah his “sister:”

(Gen 26:9 KJV) And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife: and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.

With God’s wisdom, we are to posses the “gate” of those who hate the Truth of the Scriptures. Those that hate heavenly wisdom will not open mouths in the “gate” of the Scripture of Truth.

(Prov 24:7 KJV) Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.

We are to obey the voice of heavenly wisdom just as Rebekah told Isaac to obey her “voice” according to that which she commanded. If we are the “son” of heavenly wisdom, we are to obey the “voice” of God’s wisdom.

(Gen 27:8 KJV) Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee.

The next 2 “pillars” would be Rachel and Leah. All of the tribes of Israel were born through them. As it says in Ruth, “they did build the house of Israel:”

(Ruth 4:11 KJV) And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:

The next “pillar” would be Deborah.....a mother to all Israel. She represents the wisdom of God.....a mother and judge to all of Israel.....all of us.

(Judg 5:7 KJV) The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.

The final “pillar” is Mary....the mother of Jesus. Mary also represents the wisdom of God.

(Luke 1:43 KJV) And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

Her son, Jesus is the “chief corner stone” of the house. He is the Son of God....the Son of the heavenly Father and the Son of His heavenly wisdom....the “mother of us all.” We are to be built upon the foundation of the apostles and the prophets.

(Eph 2:20 KJV) And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Those children that are “born from above” shall rise up and call her “blessed:”

(Prov 31:28 KJV) Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

Just as Mary had said..... “generations shall call me blessed.” Mary represents heavenly wisdom.

(Luke 1:48 KJV) For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

Mary mentioned the “low estate of His handmaiden.” Indeed, Wisdom has wept in her “low estate.” “Mary” means bitterness. And just as Rachel, Wisdom has wept for her children. The “house of Israel” are as the dried bones in Ezekiel. In our churches, we have not heard and obeyed the voice of Wisdom. We have all been like sheep....wandering out of the Way.

(Jer 31:15 KJV) Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.

But her work shall be rewarded.....the children shall come again from the land of the enemy.

16 Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.
17 And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border.

Just as Jesus told his disciples, they would weep and lament while the world would rejoice.

(John 16:19 KJV) Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye inquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

The time of “sorrow” has been the last 2000 years as fleshly man has taken the Scriptures and wrested them with his own earthly wisdom. There have been divisions, envy, strife, hatred within the church as a result. Many have been living as carnal and not spiritual. It has been a time of sorrow....while the false prophets rejoice in their riches and power. But these things have been just the “birth pangs” that heavenly wisdom had to endure. We are be born from above....where there shall be rejoicing. The Scriptures shall open up for our understanding....her children will come back again from the land of the enemy....the teachings of the false prophets.

21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Christ comes to open up the Scriptures for our understanding. The Bible will not be read any longer in “proverbs”....but He will preach the Scripture of Truth and we shall see “plainly of the Father.”

25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.

Religious man has been laboring in vain for the last 2000 years. He labors in his own wisdom building His religious empires and doing works that are works of vanity....darkness. The Lord comes to build a house in His wisdom. A song of ascents for Solomon.....wisdom:

(Psa 127:1 KJV) A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

All religious men who rely upon their own wisdom have eaten the “bread of sorrows”....division, envy and strife.

2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

But those born from above....of heavenly wisdom....are a “heritage of the Lord:”

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

The children of wisdom shall “speak with the enemies in the gate.” They shall be preachers of the Truth....which the enemies will not be able to gainsay.

5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

(Luke 21:15 KJV) For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Lot’s wife also represents a “pillar”......a “pillar of salt.” Her witness tells us what not to do......to look back at the things we leave behind.

(Gen 19:24 KJV) Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

The word “looked” means “to look intently at; by impl. to regard with pleasure, favor or care”......she looked back to regard with pleasure what she left behind.....with favor. Those who look back (after receiving the Truth) to the man-based religion of the “old man” will be unfit for the kingdom of God.....His revealed Truth in this last day.

(Luke 9:62 KJV) And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Those who look back will become unproductive with the revealed Truth if they do.....they will not be able to understand fully His knowledge....they will not be increasing and productive with the revealed Truth. We are to be fruitful in every good work.....and increasing in the knowledge of God. We are to be FILLED with the knowledge....the full knowledge (epignosis).....of His will in ALL wisdom and spiritual understanding.

(Col 1:9 KJV) For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

We are also delivered from the power of darkness....as Lot and his family. We are to be delivered from false prophets and their influence over our spiritual lives. We are to be delivered from our church doctrines, traditions, commandments....bondage....delivered from the “prison” of “Hades and death.” We are not to look back to those things.

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Through the full knowledge (epignosis) of Him, He calls us to glory and virtue. He calls for us to come out of the religious Babylon...confusion...that we are all currently in.

(2 Pet 1:3 KJV) According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Like Lot and his family, we are to escape the corruption that is in the “world” through lust. It is the church “world” that is corrupted....through the lusts of men. The church “world” is divided in envy and strife....and in hatred for one another. We are not to look back to these things...we are to escaped for our lives.

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

For if we do these things, we shall not be “barren”....like Lot’s wife (a pillar of salt, unproductiveness, unfruitful.)

8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If we lack these things, we cannot see “afar off”....we will not be able to see the full Truth...to understand His will completely....to understand the Scriptures with His knowledge.

9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

Remember Lot’s wife.....a “pillar” of salt...unproductiveness in His Word. She was not a builder of the house of Israel. But she still gives us her testimony of Truth....that God’s wisdom overrides the wisdom of man. The wisdom of man is no longer to be regarded with favor once we receive the knowledge of the Truth. Religious man will continue on as “business as usual” in building his churches, teaching his error-filled doctrines, gathering his riches......at especially the wrong time.

(Luke 17:28 KJV) Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Remember Lot's wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

God gives His heavenly wisdom to those who ask it of Him. He gives to all bountifully.....liberally. But man must “unbraideth not” what God gives to him. “Unbraideth” means “to defame, chide, rail at.” Man must not defame this wisdom because it doesn’t fit his previous earthly, church wisdom. It is not God who “unbraideth not” but it is man who must “unbraideth not.”

(James 1:5 KJV) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

For the man that defames what is given him is “wavering”.....like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. “Wavering” means to “to separate thoroughly, to withdraw from, oppose.” The “wavering” man opposes the Truth of God....His wisdom. Why? Because it goes against his own “wisdom”.....man’s own religious thoughts and ways. If man does not believe in the revealed Truth, then he shall receive nothing. His own unbelief stops him from understanding in wisdom all of the mysteries of the kingdom of God. The double minded man holds the Truth in unrighteousness.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

God will give those that receive the love of the Truth His wisdom, knowledge and joy. But to the sinner, the double minded, he gives travail.

(Eccl 2:26 KJV) For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Many in the church have travailed in their own religious thoughts and works for the last 2000 years. All of their works have been “vanity and vexation of spirit.” The denominations we see are the product of man’s wisdom. But, it was planned by God for it to happen this way.....so that His revealed wisdom and knowledge will be glorified in the face of man’s earthy ways and thoughts.

The word “preacher” is for a “female assembler”....which would be heavenly wisdom...the mother of us all....who assembles us in true wisdom. Solomon writes with heavenly wisdom. But man just sees it with his earthly eyes.

(Eccl 1:12 KJV) I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem.
13 And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.

All of man’s works have been done “under the sun”....meaning without the spiritual Truth....under the teachings of false prophets who strike the people with their “heat.” The Lord shall release the prisoners of the false prophets. The “sun” has beat them with their teachings.

(Isa 49:9 KJV) That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

They shall not hunger nor thirst any longer. Men have suffered hunger and thirst.....drought...under the heat of the “sun” of false teachers.

10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
11 And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.

As it says in Revelation, the sun shall not “light on them”....nor any heat:

(Rev 7:16 KJV) They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

For the Lamb shall feed us with the revealed Truth....the knowledge and wisdom of God. There shall no longer be any suffering under the “sun” of false teachers who bring divisions, war, famine, drought, hunger , thirst, works of vanity, vexation of spirit, hatred within the church.

17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

False teachers literalize the Bible because that is all that can be known....the surface of the Scriptures....the “letter” of the words....the “dust “ of the earth. under the sun = the time under the false teachers before the revealed Truth comes. All of the works of their hands that are done “under the sun” have been....vanity...emptiness. The thoughts and ways have been passed down from the fathers to the children...the vain traditions of the fathers.

Eccl 14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Only God can properly interpret the Scriptures for us....that which is “crooked cannot be made straight and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.” Mankind cannot with his own wisdom properly interpret the Bible. His works based on his misinterpretations are therefore works of vanity and vexation of spirit.....a chasing after the wind.

15 That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.

The Scriptures are the work of God that can’t be fully understood by man’s wisdom. Only God can straighten them for us. Man’s wisdom and understanding of the Scriptures is what is “crooked.”

(Eccl 7:13 KJV) Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?

For the last 2000 years, religious man has been living in the “day of adversity”....but the “day of prosperity” is coming. A joyful day in which we will completely understand His will by the Scriptures being opened up for us. What is crooked will be straightened according to God’s own time and purpose. We can then do the true, righteous works of God....and not the works of vanity. God has made both “days”....according to His will.

14 In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.

But man knows not “his time”....religious man does not know that he has been living in the “day of adversity”....suffering under the influence of false prophets. Man has been like the “fish that are taken in an evil net”.......as “birds that are caught in the snare.” It has been an evil time which have fallen suddenly....it has been a “day of adversity.”

(Eccl 9:12 KJV) For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

But the “day of prosperity” comes. Our Lord comes to reveal His knowledge and wisdom.....so that we may understand these things and wash our robes that have been stained with the flesh of man’s works. When we go to the “house of God”....the revealed Scripture of Truth....we are to be “more ready to hear.” When He gives us His knowledge, be not quick with the mouth to defame what He gives. We are to receive the love of the Truth and be not hasty to “unbraideth” the Word of Truth in the religious pride of our own thoughts and ways which we have labored for “under the sun.”

(Eccl 5:1 KJV) Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.
2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

Not only did Solomon teach people common sense knowledge readily seen with the earthly eyes but he also taught hidden, heavenly wisdom in many “proverbs”.....parables that are revealed in the heavenly wisdom of God.

(Eccl 12:9 KJV) And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.
10 The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.

The “one shepherd” is Christ Jesus....who is the anointed Scripture of Truth. The Truth shows us the Way of righteousness and the true Life in God.

11 The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

As is indicated in the book of Proverbs, there is hidden wisdom within his writings....and these revealed “proverbs” or “parables” can be used to understand other writings within the Bible.....other “proverbs.” We can understand the words of the “wise and their dark sayings.” All of the writings of the Scriptures have a veil hiding spiritual Truth. The exterior words are the “dark sayings” that hide the true sayings of God.

(Prov 1:6 KJV) To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

There are two days mentioned by Solomon.....the day of prosperity (at the revealing of the Scripture of Truth) and the “day of adversity”.....the day we currently have been living in under the power and influence of false teachers that wrest the Bible to gain worldly things....such as riches, power, “slaves”....those that hear and follow them, etc, etc. There has been few, powerless followers of Christ who have found true life....going through the narrow gate. Many have been subjected to the “heat” of the “sun” of false teachers....who beat those underneath them with their false doctrines, commandments, and traditions.

(Eccl 7:14 KJV) In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.

Solomon writes much about this “day of adversity” in Ecclesiastes. The things done “under the sun” of the “day of adversity” are vanity....empty of Truth. God has been a “shade” from the “heat” of this day to the few who have found true life in the Way of righteousness. This “day” is really a “night” to those who mourn over the current situation of religious man.

(Psa 121:5 KJV) The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

“Under the sun” of the “day of adversity” by false teachers, we see that error comes from the rulers. The spiritual rulers of the current churches preach error. Many pastors, priests, reverends teach in ignorance of the spiritual Truth....they preach error to those who know no better.

(Eccl 10:5 KJV) There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler:

In this “day” we see folly is set in great dignity while the truly rich...those few who have found true life in Christ....are in a “low place.”

6 Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place.

“Servants” are upon horses.....hirelings in the churches are in power while true royalty is powerless.

7 I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.

The true wisdom of those who follow God is despised and their words are not heard by the rulers in the churches in this day of adversity....under the sun of false teachers.

(Eccl 9:13 KJV) This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
14 There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:
15 Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.
16 Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.
17 The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.

Under the false prophets’ sun of adversity is oppression and tears within the church....there is envy and strife, hatred, lusts of the world. There is power over the flock by the “oppressors” of the church. There is no comforter.

(Eccl 4:1 KJV) So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.

But Christ Jesus comes to give us the knowledge and wisdom to escape from the power in spiritual high place. He is our comforter who comes to feed us with Truth.

(Rev 1:18 KJV) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

The oppressor will no longer oppress the flock. They shall hunger or thirst no more. The sun shall not light on them...nor any “heat” of the false preachers in our denominations.

(Rev 7:16 KJV) They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

There will be no need “of the sun” to shine....for the glory of God shall lighten the Scriptures and the Lamb is the Light of it. The Scriptures will shine with His knowledge and then we can escape the “sun” of false teachers. We will need no man to teach us anymore.....no teachings of error from the current rulers of our churches.

(Rev 21:23 KJV) And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

There is no need for the “light of the sun” in the Wisdom of God.....there is no need for man to teach....for all shall know the Lord. There shall be no “night” there....no “day of adversity”.....for then it will be the “day of prosperity.”

(Rev 22:5 KJV) And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light:
and they shall reign for ever and ever.

For the Lord will preach the Scripture of Truth....the “sayings” that are faithful and true as opposed to religious man’s erroneous sayings.....the “light of the sun.”

6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

All of man’s work...labor.... “under the sun” cause a “vexation of the heart.”

(Eccl 2:22 KJV) For what hath man of all his labour, and of the vexation of his heart, wherein he hath laboured under the sun?

His labors that are devoid of the Truth produce “sorrows” and grief within the church. Man’s works based upon his own interpretation of the Bible produce divisions, envy and strife and hatred among the brothers. The heart cannot rest in this “night.”

23 For all his days are sorrows, and his travail grief; yea, his heart taketh not rest in the night. This is also vanity.

God has made the “day of adversity” for His own good purpose. There is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.

24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.
25 For who can eat, or who else can hasten hereunto, more than I?

God is a shelter in the day of adversity to those who are good in His sight....but he gives those who miss the mark of the Truth travail.

26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.

God has determined the “times before appointed and the bounds of their habitation.” The “servants” rule on their horses for an appointed season.

(Acts 17:24 KJV) God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

Religious man’s works are vanity and a vexation of the spirit....a chasing after the wind. He thinks that God is like the works of his own hand.

25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

There is a time and season for every purpose under heaven:

26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Our church works are not godly.....the “gold, silver, stone, graven by art and man’s device” do not represent God. God made us....we do not make God with the works of our hands. He is not our grand ministries, our great church buildings, our wonderful works done in His name, our music, our teachings, our tenets of faith, etc, etc.....all works of vanity....empty traditions from the church fathers.

29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

Man has been in ignorance of the Truth. Man has been living in the “day of adversity” doing his works of ignorance. God has overlooked these works of vanity because it was appointed before by Him that man should experience this. But now...in the “day of prosperity,” He commands all men to repent.

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

For He has “appointed a Day” in which He will judge the world in righteousness....in Christ Jesus who is the Truth. The “day of prosperity” .....a day of salvation from works of darkness and ungodly teachings of men. God has overlooked all man’s failings in the “day of adversity” but now commands us to repent in the appointed “Day.”

31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

The “day is at hand”....the “night” of man’s hateful, religious works are over. It is time to cast off the works of darkness....the works of vanity and vexation of the spirit.

(Rom 13:10 KJV) Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

There shall be “no night” there.....no “light of the sun.”

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

The day is at hand for man to hear the conclusion of the whole matter....to fear God (which is the beginning of wisdom) and to keep His commandments. To love each other is the fulfilling of the Law...the INSTRUCTION. Love “WORKS” no ill to his neighbor. The appointed “day of prosperity” comes and it is a day of judgment...where every work is judged. God has overlooked our earthly works but He will begin to judge them in His righteousness.

(Eccl 12:13 KJV) Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

We are to remember our Creator in the days of our “youth”....obviously, we are to literally remember Him in the days of the youth of our lives, but there is more being said here in Ecclesiastes 12. The “youth” is referring to the acceptable day of salvation. The days which are coming in which we are to remember God and repent from our sins we have committed in the ignorance of our religious ways and thoughts. We are to repent and remember Him....to be reconciled to Him, the Creator of the “day of adversity” and the day of salvation....the “day of prosperity.” The judgment will come upon those who resist the revealed Truth and refuse His call. The days that will come in which there will be no pleasure for those who stubbornly reject His knowledge.

(Eccl 12:1 KJV) Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

The word “youth” is “bechurowth” which comes from the word “bachuwr” which means “selected, choice, acceptable.” The days of our “youth” is a veiled reference to the day of salvation. We are to chose His ways and thoughts over our own. It is a day that He helps us.....and cause us to inherit the “desolate heritages.”....He will cause us to inherit the Scripture of Truth that has been “desolated” by earthly-minded men. We will be filled with His wisdom, knowledge and peace....if we remember our Creator and be reconciled to Him.

(Isa 49:8 KJV) Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

It is a “day” in which the “prisoners” are to be let loose from their earthly-minded captors....the false teachers. It will be a “day” in which the “darkness” is no more in the spiritual “morning” of the Truth.

9 That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

A “day” in which we shall no longer hunger or thirst spiritually nor shall the heat nor the sun smite us. We shall be saved from false teachers that rob us of our true life in God...our peace. It will be a day we are saved from those who beat (as the sun beats upon us) the servants in their drunkenness of their own earthly ways and thoughts.

10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.

It is a “day” in which we are to be reconciled to God. We are to depart from our own ways and thoughts and embrace His ways and thoughts....for they are higher than ours.

(2 Cor 5:20 KJV) Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

We are to be workers together with Him....workers of true righteousness....workers with Him to rebuild the desolate places. The days of our “youth” is the early time of acceptance...a time of reconciliation....a time of confessing our sins...confessing our missing the mark of the Truth.....a time to cast our works of vanity, darkness and vexation of spirit away.

6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

We are to remember Him and be reconciled to Him....before the judgment comes upon those who do not. We are to remember Him while the “sun, the light, the moon or the stars” be not darkened.....which speaks of His judgment that comes upon those who will not hear.

Eccl 12: 2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

For the false prophets have had their reward in this life...they have enjoyed their power and riches. Life has been good to them and they have enjoyed their works....their positions that God has put them in for their appointed season. But the time of their ways and thoughts comes to a close....and they have a choice to make.....in the valley of decision. The judgment comes upon those who will continue to preach out of covetousness...continuing in “business as usual”....as though God never gave them His revealed Truth. Their “sun” shall go down and the “day” shall be dark over them. By then, it will be too late. They shall cry unto Him in the humbling process which will be distressful, but He will not hear them.

(Micah 3:4 KJV) Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

The false prophets who do not remember the Creator in their “youth”...in the day of salvation....shall be crying “peace and safety” and will prepare war against those who do accept the revealed Truth of our Lord.

5 Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.

Therefore, “night” shall be unto them. Their “sun” shall go down.....and the “day” shall be dark over them.

6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.

There will be no answer of God....for their day is finished...they enjoyed their works in their appointed time, but now God calls for them to repent. Those who do not repent, shall have no answer of God. The sun shall go down for them.

7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.

And continuing in Ecclesiastes, we see in the “day” that the “keepers of the house shall tremble.” The false teachers who have kept the prison house shall tremble in the day of their judgment. The “strong men” shall “bow themselves.” The word “bow” is “'avath” which means to “wrest, make crooked, overthrow.” The “strong men” who resist the Truth for their own ways and thoughts will be overthrown in their own wickedness. Wickedness shall burn like a fire...they shall be consumed by it. There will be no peace.

3 In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,

The “grinders” shall cease. The Lord shall “stand to judge the people.” They shall no longer “grind the faces of the poor.” The revealed Truth shall set the poor in spirit free from their influence.

(Isa 3:13 KJV) The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.
14 The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.

They shall no longer “beat His people to pieces” and grind the faces of the poor with their false teachings, doctrines, commandments, traditions, tenets, bondage, prison houses.

15 What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

The “doors shall be shut in the streets” for them because they do not obey His voice.

Eccl 12: 4 And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of music shall be brought low;

The door shall be shut by the Master of the house even though He taught in their “streets.”

(Luke 13:25 KJV) When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

They are not worthy because they will have refused to cease from their works of iniquity....they will refuse to hear Him when He calls.

27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

They will be those whose fears will come upon them.....they will be the “mourners that go about the streets”....all because they did not remember their Creator in the acceptable Day of salvation...the “youth”....they were not reconciled to Him. They will have refused His Truth and knowledge.

5 Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:

Since they will have not chosen the Way of righteousness and instead chose their own ways and their souls delighting in their own abominations, the Lord will bring their fears upon them. He will have called them but they will not answer....He will have spoken to them, but they will not hear. They will have chose their own works of iniquity that they have long enjoyed. They will have made a choice.

(Isa 66:4 KJV) I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

The false teachers who will reject His knowledge will have their own fears come upon them.

(Prov 1:26 KJV) I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

Because they hated knowledge in the Day of salvation and did not choose the fear of the Lord.....which is the beginning of wisdom.

29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

Their “silver cord” will be loosed, the golden bowl be broken...the pitcher will be broken at the fountain. All of their activities will be ceased. Their riches will not save them in the day they come knocking on the door.....the shut door.

Eccl 12:6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.

The Spirit shall return to God who gave it.

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
8 Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.

The Spirit shall be taken away from those who refuse His knowledge....and will be cast away from His presence.

(Psa 51:11 KJV) Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

(2 Th 1:9 KJV) Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

But, our Lord is patient....not wanting anyone to perish.....that all should come to repentance.

(2 Pet 3:9 KJV) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

In this “day of adversity” that has been appointed by God, the false teachers have had their reward or inheritance in this life. They have their riches and works to rejoice in.....that is their inheritance. All of their travail and every prosperous work (“right work”) is motivated by envy of each other. Who has the biggest, most successful ministry, who has the largest church, who has the best of everything in their church, who has the most “souls won?”....etc...etc ....etc. All of it is only “vanity and vexation of spirit.”

(Eccl 4:4 KJV) Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.

The false teachers of our denominations...who pursue earthly things out of envy over each others’ success....think that “gain is godliness.” They think that having that big church upon the hill is a sign of their godliness....writing that successful, religious book is a sign of godliness....selling of religious goods with great ease must be godliness .....and they aren’t content ever with what they have. They seek to continually increase ....travailing to gather and heap up things.

(1 Tim 6:3 KJV) If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

But none of those pursuits after earthly gain will be carried with them.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

None of their riches garnered by their toil shall be taken with them. The “riches” will ultimately perish by “evil travail.” All of their earthly works shall be “burned” in the Day of Judgment and will not save them from the wrath to come. All who seek to keep their riches will only hurt themselves.

(Eccl 5:13 KJV) There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.
14 But those riches perish by evil travail: and he begetteth a son, and there is nothing in his hand.
15 As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.
16 And this also is a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind?

Many of them will not listen to heavenly wisdom when it comes. They have long enjoyed the fruit of their labors and think it will never come to an end. The “prosperity of fools” shall ultimately destroy those who turn their ears from hearing the revealed knowledge of God.

(Prov 1:32 KJV) For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Their riches will not profit them in the day of wrath. They will say “Lord, Lord” haven’t we did wonderful works in your name?

(Prov 11:4 KJV) Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

But not every one who says “Lord, Lord” shall be saved.....only those who do things which He says.....

(Luke 6:46 KJV) And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
For their world is about to end...it is better to be a “living dog” than a “dead lion.”

(Eccl 9:4 KJV) For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

They shall not have any more reward in this life when God reveals His knowledge to us in the Scripture of Truth. The Truth makes the confusion perish.

5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Their envy shall perish and they shall no longer have a portion in anything of this life. Their works will be burnt up and it would be best if they hear the Truth and turn to the Lord who gave them their portion in this life.

6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Those who will seek to cling onto their religious riches in the revelation of the Truth shall have nothing.

(Prov 13:7 KJV) There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.

The ransom of a man’s life are his riches....he must deny himself...his great, wonderful works that are claimed to be done in His name.

8 The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.

The works of false teachers are motivated by envy of another’s success in his religious, earthly works. We were not to envy them....and choose their ways.

(Prov 3:31 KJV) Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.

We were to be in the fear of the Lord all of this “day of adversity”....in the day of their enjoyment of the things of this life.

(Prov 23:17 KJV) Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.

This is reinforced in Psalms:

(Psa 73:1 KJV) A Psalm of Asaph. Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

For I was envious at the foolish when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

God has, in His time and purpose, gave them their works to enjoy for a season. It has been a time of rejoicing for them as they enjoyed their successes over the churches...over the people..... and the Scriptures. They have built religious empires....they have achieved names for themselves....they have garner riches....they have garnered people who listen to them...the “slaves” and prisoners. Their “strength” has been “firm:”

4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

They have not been in trouble as others....their lives have been good.

5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

They are full of pride because of their lack of trouble and their successes.

6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

They have all that their heart could wish for....life has been good for them in this “day of adversity.”

7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

Although they profess themselves as godly, they are the “ungodly”....who prosper in this life....who increase in riches with ease.

12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

We are not to be envious of their successes in this “day:”

13 Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.
14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;

When the Lord gives us His knowledge of the Scriptures, then we can understand their end. They will not carry anything out with them.

17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
18 Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.

Their world will be brought into desolation as in A MOMENT.

19 How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
20 As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
22 So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.
23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.
24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

They, the “kings of the earth” shall bewail Babylon....for she shall burn with all of her works. They have gotten rich off of the confusion over the Scriptures...but when the Truth comes, out goes the confusion. The people will have the knowledge to depart from false teachers....for they will see their errors....the “man of sin” shall be revealed for all to see.

(Rev 18:9 KJV) And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

The “merchants of the earth” shall weep and mourn over her. No one will be any longer deceived by false teachers when the revealed Truth comes.

11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

Their “day” will come to an end.....and the fruits that their souls lusted after shall depart from them.

14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.
15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

Great riches shall be brought to desolation in a MOMENT....in “one hour.” It will come swiftly.

17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

By their false teachings, many have been deceived. They wrested the Scriptures with their earthly understanding (the sorceries) to deceive the poor in spirit.

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

For Babylon is that “woman” whose heart is snares and nets....her teachings deceive those poor in spirit. Her hands are chains upon those who have been snared by her. But those who receive the love of the Truth shall escape her.....and the sinner who refuses the Truth shall be taken by her.

(Eccl 7:26 KJV) And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

Those that stay within her shall receive of her plagues. We are to come out of her by the understanding of the Scripture of Truth.

(Rev 18:4 KJV) And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

Babylon cannot be healed....she shall burn and be brought to desolation in a moment. We are to forsake her and go into our own country...the Word of Truth. There is a change coming....a reversal of fortunes.

(Jer 51:8 KJV) Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.
9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.

An “idol” is man’s doctrines, commandments and traditions that he preaches so that others may bow down to their particular denomination. The “molten image” is “falsehood” or an untruth of the Bible. Man relies upon his own knowledge of the Bible and there is no “breath” in his falsehoods....there is no SPIRIT of Truth in his teachings.

(Jer 10:14 KJV) Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

They are vanity....they are empty and worthless. There is no life in them....there is no Spirit. The result of erroneous preaching is works of error. The churches are overcome by false teachers who preach falsehoods and cause their listeners to do works of error. But the Truth comes to make those things perish. The knowledge of God will destroy the knowledge of man.

15 They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

And as Jesus pointed out to the religious leaders of 2000 years ago, so the same applies to today. Many in the churches worship “in vain”....by their teaching of doctrines and commandments of men.

(Mark 7:7 KJV) Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Doctrines and commandments of men are the “idols” in the churches that men bow down to. They are so rigidly fixed into each denomination. Choose a particular doctrine or commandment of a church and see how it is an idol that keeps its worshippers in submission. It keeps the “prisoners” in the prison. If one were to not agree with the fixed doctrine or commandment of that particular denomination, then one cannot be a part of that particular church. One must submit to the “tenets of faith” in order to belong. One must “bow down and worship” man’s falsehoods in order belong to that XYZ denomination. The knowledge of man that exalts itself is the “high places.” The doctrines and commandments are “graven images”....they pose as teachings of the Bible....they pose as teachings of righteousness but yet are truly idols. Man’s doctrines and commandments come from the literal, fleshly misunderstanding of the Bible.....they appear righteous. False teachers use “sorcery” in order to deceive the poor in spirit.

(Psa 78:58 KJV) For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.
59 When God heard this, he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Israel:

The “tabernacle of Shiloh” is the Scriptures....the peace that comes with the full Truth of the Scriptures. The “tent which He placed among men” is the Scriptures. The Truth has been hidden from man because of man’s own knowledge has been exalted.....the “high places” and graven images. Truth has been cast down to the ground in order to keep man’s doctrines and commandments.

60 So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men;

The Scriptures have been delivered into the hand of the enemy....false teachers misuse the Scriptures in order to deceive. And those who follow the false teachers’ doctrines and commandments have experienced the “sword”......that is why we have denominations. There has been war among the people over interpretations of Scripture which are man/flesh based.

61 And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy's hand.
62 He gave his people over also unto the sword; and was wroth with his inheritance.

As it says in the Law....the INSTRUCTION, we are not to plant a “grove of any trees” near the altar of the Lord our God. The “grove of trees” is the Asherah pole. The word means “happy” and comes from “ashar” which means “to accumulate, to increase, to grow RICH.” The “tree” is the doctrine of man which has no life in it that has been planted within a church and the ultimate result is for the teachers of such doctrine to grow rich by. They set this “tree” near the “altar of the Lord our God”.....they misuse the Scriptures to reinforce this doctrine. Their doctrine is set up by the words of the Scriptures....with words of error...not with the truth.

(Deu 16:21 KJV) Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee.
22 Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth.

And as it says in Jeremiah, the “customs of the people are vain.” One cuts “a tree” out of the “forest.” One uses his own earthly knowledge of the Bible (the Bible = the forest) in order to make his own doctrine of man (the tree that is cut from the forest.) The doctrine of man is devised by false teachers......the work of the hands of the workman....works of darkness. The “ax” is the cutting words of falsehood out of the mouth of the false teacher.

(Jer 10:3 KJV) For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.

They make the doctrine of man highly esteemed among men.....they deck it with silver and with gold. There is profit opportunity to those preachers of the “tree” that is cut from the “forest.” They fasten it with “nails and hammers” so that it moves not:

4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
Their teachings...their words.....are the “nails and hammers” that reinforce a particular doctrine or commandment of man. They drive their teachings into the minds of the poor in spirit by misusing the Bible to reinforce worship of their particular idol....the doctrine that keeps men in submission. The “words” of false teachers are the “nails”.....but there is really only one shepherd whose words are truly wise:

(Eccl 12:11 KJV) The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

The doctrines of man have become firmly established in each denomination.....it is not moved. The doctrines are nailed down with the hammer of man’s knowledge...his words have kept them in place for hundreds of years in each denomination. They appear “upright as the palm tree”....they appear like they are teachings of righteousness. But there is no life in them....there is no Spirit in them. They do not speak and must be borne by man’s efforts to keep them firmly established in each denomination. Man must have his bible schools and teachings to keep those in the dark dumbed down to the lifeless idol of his doctrine or commandment.

5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
6 Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.
7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.

And here is the unveiled definition of the “tree”....the “stock is a doctrine of vanities” which men have to make attractive for others to adhere to. The false teachers who preach them keep them highly esteemed....they are clothed in “blue and purple”....they rule over those who blindly accept them as Truth.

8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
9 Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.

Religious man in his own wisdom (his wives) has done like Solomon......he went after other “gods.”

(1 Ki 11:4 KJV) For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

Religious man has gone after “Ashtoreth”....the goddess of “increase”....he has gone chasing after earthly riches in his denominations. Ashtoreth is the “goddess of the Zidonians”.....the word “Zidon” means “to catch fish.” False doctrines are designed as “nets” to catch people with. They enslave those who fall into their nets and those captors make merchandise of them. “Milcom” means “king, to reign”.....false doctrines reign among the denominations of the churches.

5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

“Chemosh” means “to subdue, the powerful”.....false doctrines of men (strange wives) cause false teachers to rule over the poor in spirit.

7 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.
8 And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

Many in the churches have fallen victim to false teachers and their false doctrines....idols. Many go to “church” to serve the lusts of men who are in power there. But our God comes to deliver us with the knowledge of the Truth so that we may NO LONGER live the rest of our time here in the flesh of the lusts of “religious” men.

(1 Pet 4:2 KJV) That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

We shall no longer walk after their “abominable idolatries” in our denominations.

3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

For we know not what we do under the control of false teachers. False teachers sacrifice things to “devils” and not to God. They may say they are doing wonderful works in His name but what they are really doing is sacrificing to “idols”...to images dressed up like works of righteousness.....based on falsehoods.

(1 Cor 10:19 KJV) What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

We are to no longer have fellowship with “devils.”
20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

False teachers keep the idols affixed in the churches with their teachings...their words are the “nails” that keep it from toppling over. And their works are to seek their own wealth....they worship the Asherah tree (pole.)

23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
24 Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.

Our doctrines and works are not like God.....He made us and we did not make Him. Our doctrines and works are “graven images.” We think of Him like our works and doctrines.

(Isa 40:18 KJV) To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?
19 The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.

The “tree” is the tree of the doctrines of vanities that man has established with his teachings and commandments. There is no life in man’s teachings. Once it is established....it does not “move”....it captures and keeps its prisoners under its tenets. It is supported by all those who will bow down to it.

20 He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.

Our “graven images” are not His image....but our own...made like man’s corruptible image. Our religious works are done in ignorance of the Truth. We know not what we worship.

(Acts 17:29 KJV) Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

God has overlooked our ignorance....all of our sins have been forgiven. But He has appointed a Day for His Truth to be revealed....a Day in which we are commanded to repent from our “church” ways and thoughts.

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Only Christ Jesus is the only TRUE IMAGE....likeness....of the invisible God. Only through him are we delivered from the power of darkness....from our “graven images” and those who bow down to them.

(Col1:13 KJV) Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

It is the words of Christ we are to hear in this adulterous and sinful generation. We have come full circle... the circuit of the Gentiles.....Galilee. We have come to the same spot the Jews of 2000 years did when Jesus came to preach to the religious....to save them. But many did not hear. He comes again to preach to us the Scripture of Truth. Will many Christians hear him when he does or will they be “ashamed” of his words?

(Mark 8:38 KJV) Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

When we hear the Word of Truth, we are to gladly receive it....we are to make “sacrifices”....we are to deny our doctrines, commandments, traditions of man. We are to love each other...keeping the daily sacrifice. We are to take up our “cross”.....take up that “pole” or “tree” that has been firmly affixed in our religious lives. We are to follow him who is the Truth of God....who is the TRUE LIKENESS of God.....His express image.

(Mark 8:34 KJV) And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

When we hear the revealed Truth, we are to “renounce the hidden things of dishonesty”......not handling the Word of God any longer to ensnare others with false doctrines.... “graven images”....idolatry.

(2 Cor 4:2 KJV) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

The wise are to flee from idolatry....flee from riches that are harvested through deceitful doctrines....flee from the “Asherah tree” or pole.....the goddess of increase, riches. Flee from idolatry. We are to “take up” that pole...the cross...and follow Him.

(1 Cor 10:14 KJV) Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

Those who do things for money have “erred from the faith” because they rely on their own earthly knowledge of the Bible. They have erred from the faith because they think they already have the Truth in their doctrines...which are really lies. But the man of God....the man of the Truth is to flee these things.

(1 Tim 6:10 KJV) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

We are to be like Hezekiah and remove our “high places”....break the “images”....cut down the Asherah pole. We are to remove our own understanding for His.....we are to destroy our doctrines, commandments and traditions which are only false “images” of what God is like...we are to cut down the pursuing after money, riches...the Asherah pole.

(2 Ki 18:4 KJV) He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brazen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.

In the revealed Truth, we are to cast down our religious imaginations ....our religious, earthly reasoning of the Bible.....we are to cast down the “high places”....our own wisdom and knowledge by which we have formed “graven images” which serve to enrich us....the “Asherah tree.”

(2 Cor 10:4 KJV) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

We are to bring every fleshly, earthly, man-based teaching down....the “high places” are to be removed with all of its graven images. Every thought must come into obedience unto Christ....the Truth. We are to deny ourselves....we are to take up our “cross”.....the “pole” that has been firmly affixed by false teachers in our religious thinking.

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

And once we have full obedience to Him, we are to revenge all disobedience. Many will still cling on to their “high places”...their graven images....and their Asherah pole...their riches.

6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

We are to bring all high thinking into submission of Christ...the Truth. We are to lose our religious lives which have been in error of the Scripture of Truth.

(Mat 16:25 KJV) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

What profit is there for the man who will stubbornly cling onto his high places...his graven images?

26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

When the Lord opens up the Scriptures (the revelation) to our understanding (in the glory of his Father with his messengers of Truth,) we are at the judgment seat. We shall be rewarded by how we either accept the revealed Truth or reject the Truth.

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Then what profit will there be for those who will continue to trust in their own church doctrines, commandments and traditions. The “molten images” of man are nothing but teachings of lies.....based on taking the Bible in a literal, earthly way. The “dumb idols” do not speak....they do not speak the Truth...and there is no power in them to save those who cling on to them in the Day of wrath.

(Hab 2:18 KJV) What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?

Those who will continue on will be rewarded for their disobedience. There is no Spirit in the teachings of religious man. But let all the earth keep silent before Him. When the Lord is revealing His Truth, He is in His holy temple....the Scripture of Truth. Woe to those who will teach in opposition to His teaching.

19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
20 But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

Let us not forsake the Lord our God to serve our Baal and Asherah. Let us give up our doctrines, commandments and traditions...which are “graven images”....made up by man’s knowledge. Man has made them to be like God in his own earthly mind ....but they are not. They are not His righteousness.....they are not His works of holiness.....they are not in His image. Only Christ Jesus....the Truth, the Way and the Life ....is the true image of God.

(Judg 2:12 KJV) And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
13 And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

Let us not change the glory of the incorruptible God into an “image” make like corruptible man. Let us give up our own wisdom and knowledge for His.....the True knowledge of the Scriptures.

(Rom 1:23 KJV) And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Let us not exchange the Truth of God for our false doctrines...our lies ....let us not worship and serve our literal understanding of the Bible (the “creature”) more than the Creator. He created the literal and the spiritual. Let us hear His spiritual Word rather than cling on to the outward “letter” of the Scriptures.

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

We are to no longer look on things after the “outward appearance.” The outward appearance of the literal, face of the Scriptures will be removed and all of the doctrines, commandments and traditions that have been formed by man with his own understanding of these outward things will fall.....will burn.

(2 Cor 10:7 KJV) Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.

Those who will continue to cling onto their own understanding in direct contradiction to the revealed Truth will find that the literal, earthly understanding of man will turn into a “land” that is brimstone and salt and burning. The earthly understanding of the Bible will no longer become productive for earthly man who refuses to accept His spiritual understanding of the Scripture of Truth. There will be wickedness and wrath....weeping and gnashing of teeth in the churches who will continue on in their own ways and thoughts.

(Deu 29:23 KJV) And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
24 Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?
25 Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:
26 For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
27 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
28 And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.

God has kept secret things hidden in the Scriptures....until the appointed Day. He comes to reveal them to us so that we may do His Truth....His works and not ours.

29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

When we finally understand these things, we are not to say “peace and safety” to continue on with our own ways and thoughts. We are to take up our cross and follow after Him.....His ways and thoughts.

(Deu 29:19 KJV) And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:

For when we shall say “peace and safety” to continue in our own ways, then the anger of the Lord will come upon us....sudden destruction.

20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God....who is in His holy temple....the spiritual Word of God....the Scripture of Truth. We are to be purged from our “dead works”...our dead, religious works that can’t save us.... to serve the living God.

(Heb 9:14 KJV) How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

These are really good posts Wheeler , I love the meanings when you put them out there too

Jhn 16:13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.may the Holy Spirit lead us and guide us to Jesus Truth ,all truth...

His names sake many places in His Word speak of His names sake .. Isa 48:11For mine own sake, [even] for mine own sake, will I do [it]: for how should [my name] be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.

Hi Chickapee, nice to hear from you again. How’s the garden doing?

W

As stated earlier, the “tree” is a doctrine of “vanities”....it is our doctrines that are empty and vain....that glorify the vain mind of man instead of God. They are idols.

(Jer 10:8 KJV) But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.

The empty doctrines are affixed by man’s earthly understanding of the Scriptures....his wresting of them. They have to be fastened with their words....they are propped up with their teachings....their reasoning. Vain doctrines of men are fastened to the thinking of the poor in spirit who have been deceived by their falsehoods. It becomes established...fastened.....in the minds of the poor as a truth of the Bible that has to be followed in order to be righteous....in order to be godly...in order to have salvation....in order to escape “hell.” But the doctrines made by false teachers are vain and made “beautiful” to men’s eyes so that they become highly esteemed among the churches. They become established.....so that they “move not” from their status.

(Jer 10:3 KJV) For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.
4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

But our Lord is merciful to let us out of this prison that false teachers and their false doctrines have built and kept us in. They have kept their prisoners in their prison with their words of vanity...their teachings of falsehood. The Lord comes to give us His heavenly wisdom and knowledge so that we may be delivered from ungodly men....who pose as ministers of righteousness. The TRUTH sets us FREE. We are to receive His Word of Truth and keep it....and the Truth shall make us free.

(John 8:31 KJV) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

We are to be free from the earthly-minded, religious man’s ways and thoughts....to be free from his doctrines of “righteousness”....to be free from his “churches”.....to be from his traditions....to be free from his works.....to be free from his sins. Sin = “missing the mark” of the Truth. Man sins when he leans upon his own understanding of the Bible and makes doctrines that he thinks are to be followed for righteousness....he has missed the mark. Man then becomes in bondage to his own doctrines, commandments and traditions. He becomes servants to them....they are established in his own mind...they “move not.” They become his idols that he bows down to....in complete error of the real, heavenly Truth.

33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

The Son comes to set us free.....and we shall be free indeed from the missing of the mark of ungodly men who are servants of sin....of corruption and division.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

The old man of religion has made himself gods of silver and gods of gold. He has made God out to be a product of his own doctrines and works....and he has bowed down to his idols of gold and silver thinking that he is worshipping God. We see in the Law....the INSTRUCTION....that we are not to make God a God of silver or a God of gold. He is not the works of our hands that we make while leaning upon our own understanding. We are to hear Him who speaks from heaven:

(Exo 20:22 KJV) And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

For He speaks from heaven....He speaks spiritually through the spiritual understanding of the Scriptures. The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy.

(Heb 12:24 KJV) And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

And what He says in Exodus is that we are not to make Him as our works....our silver and gold....our own wisdom, doctrines, commandments, and traditions. They are idols and are not in His image. But He gives us the instruction to correct ourselves.

Exodus 20:23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

We are to make an “altar of earth”.....this is a reference to the humbling of our hearts to His wisdom. We are to “rend” our hearts.

24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

Our sacrifices are to have mercy and love for each other....to have peace with each other and not hating one another over our various interpretations of the Bible. We are not to be many denominations....but should be of ONE mind and ONE Spirit. Our burnt offerings are to accept His knowledge. We are to burn our own knowledge for His....we are to reject our doctrines, commandments and traditions of men for His eternal Truth. We are to get rid of our pride and humble ourselves before His Truth.

(Hosea 6:6 KJV) For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

For the Lord shall speak from heaven...His voice shall utter before His army.

(Joel 2:11 KJV) And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

We are to turn from our idols that we have trusted in....we are to turn to the Lord with all of our hearts. We are to “fast” from our own ways and thoughts....we are no longer to eat the bread of wickedness and drink the water of contention.

12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

We are to make that “altar of earth”....to rend our hearts...to humble our hearts at His Truth.

13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

We are to love the Lord our God will all of our heart and soul and MIND and strength. And we are to love each other. We then will fulfill the Law....the INSTRUCTION on how to correct ourselves.

(Mark 12:29 KJV) And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

There is no one but Him....the ONE God. He is not our gods of silver and gold. He is not the image of our doctrines, commandments, works and traditions. Christ Jesus is the Truth...His “express image.”

32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

For these things are the TRUE whole burnt offerings and sacrifices we are to make at the “altar” of our hearts.....the “altar of earth.” We are love Him with ALL UNDERSTANDING......we are to love with all of our hearts ....to love His knowledge and Truth. We are to deny our own lives...our own religious thoughts and ways...for they are in error....they have missed the mark of the Truth...sin.

33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

When we finally understand these things, we will find we are not far from the kingdom of God:

34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

If we can love Him with all of our hearts, minds and souls and love our neighbors as ourselves, then we can go on to rebuilding the Truth in others’ minds. We can become fellow workers with God in building His true church in the revealed Truth. We are to build the “altar of stone”.....we are to preach the Word of Truth in the mind of Christ. We are not to build with our own words and understanding........the “hewn stone”.....the lifting up our “tool upon it:”

Exodus 20: 25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

We are not to build it with “hewn” stone. “Hewn” = something cut, dressed stone. We are not to dress it with our own knowledge and wisdom. The word for “tool” means “sword, drought.” That is what happens when man takes the Scriptures and uses his own wisdom to form doctrines, commandments, works and traditions of man......it produces the “sword” of violence.....the divisions....and it produces the “drought” ....the famine and thirst that many Christians currently experience under the care of false teachers. As it says in Isaiah, we are to draw out our souls to the hungry....to those who are hungry for the Truth.

(Isa 58:10 KJV) And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:
11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

We are to build the “old waste places”....to restore....to build the spiritual Truth back into the minds of the hungry. The Scriptures have been made a place of waste under the teachings of ungodly men in our churches.

12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

We are to cease from our own works and words. We are to cease from works of darkness that were done in the ignorance of the Scripture of Truth......we are to keep His spiritual Sabbath. We are to cease from our own ways and thoughts.....and speaking of our own words of error.

13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

We are to be fellow laborers with God:

(1 Cor 3:9 KJV) For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

We shall be laborers with God to repair the “altar” that was broken down by false teachers....who have cast the Truth down to the ground ...they have made the marred the meaning of the Scriptures in their listener’s ears. Elijah also repaired the altar of the Lord....which is a prophecy of the Truth being reestablished.

(1 Ki 18:30 KJV) And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.

Hi W ! garden was flooded with 6 inches of rain this weekend ! but its drying out
I went to the Cardio doc today , thats why I am so late getting on here tonight
I got to go back atleast two more times , hopefully all is well and I just have to trust the Good Lord in this matter .

the tree of vanities = idolatry
made me think also of the vine of sodom
and how Jesus is the True vine

and Deut 32 it a very powerful chapter .

16They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.

17They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
18Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
19And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.
20And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
21They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
22For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
23I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.
24They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
25The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.
26I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
27Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.
28For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
29O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
30How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
31For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
32For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:
33Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.
34Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?
35To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
36For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.
37And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,
38Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
39See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
40For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
41If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
42I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy. 43Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people

God bless you Brother , You give much to think upon

Hi Chickapee,

sorry to hear about the garden. I heard there was a lot of rain up in that area. Hey.......cardio doc?! I don't like to hear that. I hope everything is okay for you....nothing serious I hope. I will keep you in my prayers. Keep me posted on that.

I ended up going to the doc also for a knee injury....while doing yard work. Still hobbling around but okay. I guess I'm not a spring chicken anymore. Maybe a fall turkey now.

W

And continuing in Exodus, we see in the INSTRUCTION (the Law,) we are not to “go up by steps” unto His altar. We are not to arise up in our PRIDE upon the Scripture of Truth. We have to humble ourselves to the Truth....we are to deny ourselves and not rise up in our own religious PRIDE (to go up by steps) so that the nakedness of our shame and folly do not appear for all to see.

Exodus 20:26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

Those that will rise up against the Truth in their denominational pride to resist shall have their folly manifest unto all to see:

(2 Tim 3:7 KJV) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was..

We are to buy the Truth and not sell it......to accept the counsel....the INSTRUCTION....of our Lord Jesus Christ...so that we may be clothed in true works of righteousness. Then we shall not have our shame be exposed for all to say....the shame that will be experienced by those who will continue to trust in their own works and wisdom and not in the knowledge of God.

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The righteous shall then see the “man of sin” being revealed.....the men who will not put their trust in God....who did not make Him their strength, but instead will trust in their own doctrines, commandments, and traditions. The “man of sin” will oppose the Truth and exalt himself against it......they shall “go up by stairs” over the altar....the Scripture of Truth. They will trust in the abundance of their riches and strengthen themselves in their own wickedness....their own falsehoods.....in the face of His revealed Truth.

(Psa 52:6 KJV) The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

The true fast is from wickedness. We are to undo the heavy burdens and let the oppressed go free. Men of God are to accept the Truth and let their prisoners go free by preaching the revealed Truth to them.....so that they may be free from false doctrines and burdensome commandments, traditions of men.

(Isa 58:6 KJV) Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

We are to “deal thy bread to the hungry”.....we are to feed the sheep of the Lord with His knowledge and Truth. They are hungry because of the “food” of the false preachers that has left them in spiritual hunger and thirst. They are “naked” because they lack true righteousness because of divisive false doctrines.....they lack white robes....true works of righteousness. If we love the Lord, we will deny our religious lives and feed the sheep of God with His Truth. We should not “hide” the Truth from the family of God.

7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.

We are to take away from the midst of us the “yoke” that keeps the sheep of God in bondage....the falsehoods of religious men. The Hebrew word for “yoke” is “mowtah” which means “a pole.”

9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

We are to deny ourselves and “take up” our “cross.” The Greek word for “take up” is “airo” which means “to take away, remove.” We take up our false doctrines that have been firmly affixed by false words of false teachers and remove them from our lives. If we take away the “yoke” from our midst, we shall be free indeed in the Truth....in the Lord Jesus Christ who comes to set us free....who comes to deliver us from man’s “bondage” of empty and vain doctrines and commandments. We are to deny ourselves and follow Him....to follow the Truth. The Greek word for “cross” is “stauros” which means “stake, post, POLE (as set UPRIGHT)”... the doctrines of vanity are “upright as the palm tree.”

It is the false doctrines of man that we are to lift up and remove. They have been firmly affixed in people’s minds by false words that feign righteousness (the nails and hammers.) They pose as righteousness...... “upright as the palm tree.” Man has to keep them in people’s minds by the continuous preaching of error (the nails and hammers)....reinforcing them so that they not move. But we are to take away that yoke of bondage...in the Truth of God. We are to follow Him where there is true freedom....true works of righteousness....true holiness.

(Jer 10:3 KJV) For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.
4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move no

False doctrines of man cannot “speak”....they do not speak the Truth of God. They cannot save us in Day of wrath.

10:5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

False doctrines are not like the Lord. There is none like unto Him. None of man’s doctrines, commandment, tradition resemble Him in the least bit. All have been works of error....missing the mark of the Truth. They all fall short of the glory of the Lord.

8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.

When we hear His voice, we are to deny our “church” doctrines, commandments and traditions that have been made by men’s earthly understanding......and follow Him in the Truth, the Way and the Life. Religious man’s earthy teachings are “nets” designed to capture men who know no better. The “net” is the deceitful words that come out of earthly-minded men’s mouths. Their “net” draws the “poor” in spirit.....they are caught unaware by the deceitful, erroneous teaching of the Scriptures.

(Psa 10:7 KJV) His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.
9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.
10 He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.

(Prov 29:5 KJV) A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.

Men are as the fish that are taken in an “evil net”......the “net” of false teachers.

(Eccl 9:12 KJV) For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

When the Lord comes to us with His Truth, we are to at once drop our “nets” and follow Him. His teachings are superior to our own.....His teachings are Truth and ours are in error. We are to leave our “nets” just as some of the disciples showed us by their obedience when Jesus called them. We, the churches, are the people who sit in darkness. We shall see His great Light. His Light shines in the Scripture of Truth. His knowledge shines in the “region and shadow of death”.....the region those false teachers have desolated with their words of “death”....the shadow of errors....the “nets.” He comes to teach us in heavenly wisdom so that we may repent of our sins....our missing-of-the-mark of the Truth.

(Mat 4:15 KJV) The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

We are to be like “Simon” which means “hearing” and Andrew.....we are to hear the preaching of the Lord and “straightway” leave our “nets”.......our erroneous teachings that we have worked with......we are to FOLLOW Him who has the Word of Truth.

18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

We are to be obedient like Simon, Andrew, James and John....we are to leave our “nets” immediately and follow Him and be His disciples:

21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

Like James and John we are to leave our “nets” and “ship.” We are to leave our preaching the Word for gain....the preaching of deceit for unjust gain.....the preaching in order to make merchandise of the poor. We are to hear Him and leave the “gifts” of deceitful preaching....the greediness of gain. Zebedee = “gift.”

(Prov 15:27 KJV) He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.

(Prov 17:23 KJV) A wicked man taketh a gift out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment.

Instead, we are to follow Him who has the true “gifts.” We are to receive His gift of the Truth. We are to follow Him who has the true “riches”....the true wealth. In Him, we become true fishers of men....in the Truth, the Way and the Life. Our “net” will then be the preaching of the kingdom of Heaven....in the knowledge of God as opposed to the knowledge of earthly men. We are to be obedient like Matthew.....a “publican” who gathered taxes.....a “tax farmer.” We are to leave our positions in the church and follow Him. We are to no longer be employed as a spiritual “publican” within the church....one who places unjust burdens upon the poor in spirit. One who preaches with oppression....who has the wicked balance and a bag of deceitful weights in his possession. We are to no longer defraud the poor with deceitful preaching. Matthew arose at once to follow Him at His word. He left all to follow Him (Luke 5:28.)

(Mat 9:9 KJV) And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

And if we will follow Him, we will sit at “meat in the house”......the Lord will open up the Scriptures for our understanding....the “meat” of the Word. We can be His “disciples”....His pupils....learners of the Word of Truth.

10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

For it is the sinners who He calls to repentance.....the sinners within the church who preach without wisdom...who preach deceitfully. He calls those who can immediately depart from their professions to follow Him when He “passes by” us. We are to hear His voice today and deny our works and words for His true works and Word. We are to leave our “nets” behind. ....immediately....so we can be his learners..... “disciples.”

13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Today, we are to hear His voice and open up the door.....immediately. We are to follow Him.

(Rev 3:20 KJV) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

We are to open to Him immediately:

(Luke 12:36 KJV) And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

He shall give us the “meat” of the Word....the Scripture of Truth.

37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

We are to seek the Lord while He may be found...

(Isa 55:6 KJV) Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked (in the church) forsake his own way and the unrighteous man ( in the church) his own thoughts. Let us immediately leave our “nets”...our erroneous teachings....and our church positions of oppression to follow Him. He will have mercy upon us and will abundantly pardon. He calls the sinners to repentance.

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Then we shall experience the joy of the Lord and be led forth with His peace. The “mountains and hills” shall break forth before us into singing. The “mountains and hills” are the Scriptures that will open up its mysteries to those who will turn from their own ways and thoughts. The witnesses’ testimonies will “sing” with the spiritual Truth. We shall read the Scriptures with the mind of Christ...experiencing joy over the meanings being revealed to us. The “trees of the field shall clap their hands”....again another reference to the Scriptures being opened up for us if we depart from our own ways and thoughts.

Isa 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

The Lord calls us unto Him. We are to deny ourselves....our religious works, thoughts, ways, positions.....to follow Him....to do His true works of righteousness.

36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

We are to hear His call and immediately follow Him. We are not to look back at the church things we leave behind. We are not to linger around....seeking other things FIRST.

(Luke 9:59 KJV) And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

And again.....we are not to look back to the things we leave behind. We are to immediately follow Him to be His disciples....and preach the kingdom of God in His Truth. We can’t say “but let me first go” do these other commitments. But first, let me go build that church I was working on.....but first let me sell a few more religious books.....but first let met conclude the religious things I do. If we are to follow Him, then we leave these things IMMEDIATELY so we can be His disciples and preachers of the revealed Truth....the kingdom of God. The request of those who are not serious about the Truth: “I will follow thee, but let me FIRST go.....” and do things. Seek the kingdom of God FIRST......follow the Lord FIRST.

61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

If we look back, then we are unfit for being preachers of the kingdom of God....in His Truth. We are to leave it all behind.

62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

We can also see this in the story of Martha and Mary in Luke. Jesus “entered into a certain village”......a prophecy of the Truth entering into the Scriptures. Martha received him into her house. Martha represents those of the church who will receive the Word of Truth.....but instead of sitting at His feet and learning the Word, they will be “cumbered about with much serving.” They will continue to be busy in their church activities. Yes, they will say they will follow Him but FIRST they must be busy “serving” in the world...busy promoting their church....busy doing the things they think is important.

(Luke 10:38 KJV) Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

Mary represents those of the church who choose that “good part.” They choose to sit at His feet and learn....to hear His Word in the Truth. They are quiet and honest.....keeping their full attention at His Word.

39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

But the Marthas of the church will be frustrated.....cumbered with much serving.....not seeking FIRST the Word of Truth....the kingdom of God.

40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

Those who will detach from their distraction of church activities and listen to the Word of Truth will not have it taken away from them. Their reward will be great. The things “Martha” works for will perish.

41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

The disciples left all to follow the Lord. If we are to be His disciples, we must also leave all those “church” things behind.....those distractions that bog us down and keep us from hearing the Truth. Those things that the church works for will be taken away from them....because they did not seek His Truth FIRST. To be His disciples we must leave all our church things behind to follow Him.

(Mark 10:28 KJV) Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
31 But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
