But come to think of it, we have this forum, yet many Word of Faith people seem to favor hanging out in the SF area and taking the abuse. What advantage will there be to the change?

One advantage is we will not be tucked away making it hard for newbies to find. When one first comes to the site we will appear on the front page. As it is one has to first click onto Spirit-filled.

I am one who at times goes to the other area because there are wonderful people who are there too. God has His people everywhere! Some just either do not consider themselves WoF, or are not willing to sport the icon for whatever reason. I did not at first because I am not one to care much for labels. They can cause division. But to be able to post freely where I feel most at home, here on this WoF forum, it was necessary to wear it.

I can see the good. It does help me to readily identify someone who believes as I do. But IRL, we don't know that until one opens their mouth.

another upside, we will be more visiable to folks comming in to CF, as Cindy said.
and we will be able to be positive without anyone tearing us down
and Dids and Balance and Mike can begin teaching again !

I'm just so glad for all who have hung in there thru the years until this was voted in, and glad as well for those who have found the forum in the meanwhile and hung on.
We have a lot of building to do, but praise God that we will be given time and space in which to work without hinderance!

I hope not. They have the entire CF forum to bash us. We need a place to fellowship without strife.

nope, it will be just like normal. those without the shield will be able to ask a question or to post in fellowship. and that's it. They won't be able to discuss or debate. Same as all the other congregational forums. those have always been the rules in this form, so nothing will change in that respect.

So how is that different from what we have here?

It will be listed on the main index page of CF and easier to find

I guess if it's a separate forum and not a part of the main sfc forum do ofthe negative bashers might actually forget about us and leave us in peace!

no way of knowing whether it will be quickly or slowly. But at least we have it on paper that there will be a stand-alone WOF forum, so that's progress.

Was out at the campground all week and just got back in, am glad to see this. It will mean peace and not being attacked by a certain few.
