nope not at all..you love your body and want it to look good..God wants us to look good and be healthy..this is not vanity..and you admiring someone else is just admiration...that can help encourage you in your own personal goals. God bless

Pretty much all of our physiological aspects of being is vanity , when compared to those things which pertain to Christ's Everlasting Kingdom .

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labor that I had labored to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no [ lasting ] profit under the sun. <-----> Ecclesiastes 2:11

For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. <-----> 1st Timothy 4:8

Well I go to the gym to feel good be healthy and of course to look good. Im just wondering is it vanity to want to have a sculpted body and to admire bodybuilders for their body.

It can be if you place it before God like some do with money. Just keep it in a healthy perspective and you'll be okay. If you start thinking about using steroids to get bigger or if you only care about the gym, then it might be a problem.

It is all dependent on your perspective. The Bible says that your body is a temple of the Lord. Therefore, do not think of it that you are working out just to look good and attract women, think of it as you are honoring God by taking care of His temple and making it stronger.

First of all, be careful in how you interpret or search for the word vanity in the Bible because it has several meanings. For example, it is used numerous times in Ecclesiastes to mean "meaningless" or "worthless", not the kind of vanity that is linked to pride.

As for your question: I think working out and keeping fit is a very good thing... taking care of your "temple". That said, it becomes vanity when you become too preoccupied with what people think of you, or if you start making your body a unnaturally high percentage of your self-image. Like many things, physical fitness should be part of a life with balance and proper perspective.
