You and Obama would get along just fine, I see.
Nancy Pelosi had her arm & hammer in pictures.
Yours is imaginative yes, but mine is reality.

Can i see those pictures?

or is it the actual logo?

edit: I was more going off on the other popular accusation that obama is not a natural born citizen. I was just seeig the logic of it. The "i heard some one said...." logic, sounds more like rumors to me that have no place in real opinions. Well, carry on...

I don't know...I was being snarky.

Or maybe she actually had her arm in the picture holding a hammer. That would be the kiss of death...why, hammers are used to actually build things. The Right wouldn't want to glorify actual work now, would they?

Nancy Pelosi is the most unqualified speaker of the House we have had in the past 50 years. The only reason she was elected to that position was because she is a woman.
Steny Hoyer is much more qualified and a lot smarter than she is.
You know, I dont know about that. She seems to be about to get this health care mess through. I dont think that is a good thing, but it is a testament to her ability to get things done. She is tough and seems pretty ruthless. Those are admirable traits in todays political battles.

she is not particularly good publicly, but behind the scenes she is known as a master of the craft of the house. she is not only qualified, she is highly skilled. she just is appalling publicly. behind the scenes, she's extremely tough.

That is the problem-publicly she is the face of the Democratic party other than obviously the President and people do not particularly like her. I am being purely objective here. Obviously I would like the Democrats to keep her on as long as possible because I am a Republican, but I might change my voter status to independent.

you are showing your ignorance of her effectiveness as speaker by wishing she continue in her post. her public face is not the heart of what makes her a dangerous adversary to your political goals. it is the work she does that you never see that makes her your worst nightmare.

I am saying her being the public face of the Democrats is not doing them any good-yes she is good in the back room, but she is not good in the minds of the American electorate.

Pollster.com: US: National Survey (Economist 8/23-25)

She is only "likeable" by 25% of the populace.
Even Ted Kennedy who was the face of the liberal establishment for the last 40 years had a 43% favorability rating

as long as her constituents keep voting her in, it is the back room you have to worry about. her opinion polls will continue to be irrelevant.

And all of that botulism is probably not doing anything for her health either.

botulism is a disease brought on by bacteria. i think you meant to use the word botox in formulating your sophmoric joke.
fail.

Except that is not Joyjuice's logic. I think the claim is the Tea Party has outwardly racist elements as demonstrated in more then one event.

The last time I heard of anything racist going on with the tea party it was a sign. The guy who made the sign and brought it with him was kicked out.

Clinton and Byrd are still democrats.

By calling elected officials the N-word? Ah, didn't know the USA was build on maligning the political opponent!

American politicians have been maligning political opponents from the start.

This really isn't anything new if it happened.

Yet to be demonstrated.

Yet to be demonstrated? So Robert Byrd doesn't throw around racist phrases? And wasn't in the KKK? And Bill Clinton didn't tell Kennedy that "'A few years ago he would have been getting us coffee" in reference to Obama?

This isn't anything new with Clinton either, his political hero was a segregationist.
