How can one respond to this, I wonder? How can Sarah Palin say "she doesn't know what she's talking about" without coming off as being patronizing to individuals with Down Syndrome?

I don't think Palin will respond unless she is asked directly - which could certainly happen considering how the MSM are all out to get her (heh).

I knew I recognized the voice when I heard it. I watched her quite regularly on Life Goes On.
I still think the show was in poor taste (and not all because it was about Downs Syndrome), but I also don't think it was meant to single out Palin and Trig.

It could be argued that Palin was an idiot to pay any attention to Family Guy in the first place. Family Guy routinely mocks major public figures. Usually, they are smart enough to just ignore it as opposed to igniting a controversy.

What I don't understand is how this episode is "insulting" to those with Down Syndrome or "in bad taste". Is it "insulting" now to simply depict people with Down Syndrome in the media?
I had a Down Syndrome sister. Through my church, I'm active in helping to teach "special needs" kids during VBS. I wasn't offended. What's Palin's problem?

For me, it was in poor taste simply because of the nature of the episode - it was crass and inappropriate. I didn't find much of it funny at all, and I usually love Family Guy.
