I've been thinking about having an accountability partner, but never got around to it. I think it's a good idea for anyone, because people need some way to vent.

Thats really horrible. I simply stated im happy to talk about any problems she might have as long as she doesnt mind talking with a dude.

Yes rightous judgement. Your judgement was not righteous just rude and derogatory. We are called at times to righteously judge other christians not to slander people who want to help in the edification process of fellow believers.

being accountable to someone is such an important thing, but the best way to do it is to be accountable to an (older) chrisitian of the same gender (beacuse guys and girls probably shouldnt tell eachother everything) from your church that you trust, i wouldnt advise bearing your soul to someone online

I agree it should be an older Christian and more mature Christian. Why do you think guys and girls shouldn't tell each other everything? Maybe it would do both genders good to understand the other better.

As someone to be accountable to I agree it should be someone of the same gender, but the way you phrased it seemed to imply that it is in some way wrong for guys and girls who are close friends to talk to each other as intimately as with a friend of their own gender. I could be wrong or just navie

And what about the off chance that God did bring two people together through a Christian site? Improbable...yes. Impossible? No.

Theres a pretty big difference between rebuking you for misrepresenting me (my judgement). And telling someone to go on a dating site for simply offering to help implying I was a sleaze (your judgement).

oh, no, i didnt mean i thought it was always wrong, (i agree sometimes its inapropriate - tho not necaessarily here) i just meant guys and girls work so differently that a girl can understand a girl more, and a guy can help a guy more, we struggle with such different things that surely it makes sense?

Guys are better for certain issues, and girls are better for certain issues.
