It is awesome news!!

Now, we'll see what games the liberals play with when to swear him in and all that. This is pretty much guaranteed to result in lawsuits and other trash.

Regardless, a repub coming even close to winning in taxachusettes should be a very loud warning bell for the dem's everywhere. Get ready for a horrid election year.

This thread makes me wonder what ever happened to "love your neighbor as yourself." Where's the love for Coakley, and for Democrats in general?

Perhaps the party of no, the truck driving astroturf is not in such a loving mood right now.

Honestly, I don't see how any good can come of this. All this does is make sure NOTHING gets done that the government proposes. How in the < staff edit > is a completely ineffective govt. a good thing?!

Not so, I wish her the best. I have no ill will towards her at all. I am happy freedom and common sense won today. I am happy they had a great turn out.

The accusations of a lack of love are false accusations and I urge the poster to repent.

Wanting abortion to be illegalized isn't freedom. Keeping gays from having the same rights as straight people do isn't freedom. Wanting to keep poor people from having the same access to health care that wealthier people have isn't freedom. So, tell me, how exactly did freedom win today?

the freedom of the unborn to breathe free air is a sweet sweet freedom...standing against murder is a stand for freedom. People have access to health care..all people have access to health care. I don't care if they legalize gay marriage, they should end the tax issues related to it for all people.

For the first time in my adult lifetime, I'm really proud of my state.

Maybe now, with the ability to filibuster, the majority party will allow input from the minority party and practice the inclusivity of which they preach.

What about the freedom for women to choose what to do with their unwanted pregnancies, including choosing abortion if they so wish? You're advocating taking that freedom away from women.

And no, not all people have access to health care. Only those who can afford it have access to it.

Why weren't you proud of MA before? It's not like us liberals are horrible or anything, and it's not like us liberals don't have others' best interests in mind.
