I'm calling my dad Archbishop

I'm going to start referring to my pastor as my old man (which would really be weird since he's a couple years younger than me). I obviously have some pretty strong disagreements with the Roman Catholic Church on a bunch of different things but it gets pretty ridiculous when some Protestants just run to that verse as if its proof that Roman Catholicism is false. Paul certainly uses the term "father" when speaking of himself and his relationship to certain people and churches. Protestants don't seem to get bent out of shape when people use the word teacher even though Jesus said not to call anyone that either. In context it seems pretty clear that Jesus was saying we shouldn't exalt the teachings of man above the teachings of God. I actually think that of all the terms "father" might be the best to use when talking to your pastor but I don't use it because people around me think I'm weird enough as it is.

Heard occasionally at my house: "I'm not your dude. I'm your father."

Hey, he's got 5 kids. It seems only natural to call him Fr.

or we could call him our male parent! in order not to violate the Command of the bible we must say Happy male parents day!

My kids call me Papa. In a roomful of kids yelling "Dad!" I know immediately if one of mine is calling me.
