• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Greetings Winter,

I myself don't have the swine flu and haven't had any flu for so long I can't remember if I did.
Did you get the swine flu shot? Were you around anyone who had gotten the swine flu shot or mist? And how do you know you have the swine flu? Did a doctor tell you this after he/she tested a sample? Or did the doctor just tell you that you have the swine flu without any test of any sample?

I pray you get over this flu and get well soon.

I had it in june but it only lasted a week. And my symptoms sound quite different from yours. I didnt have a cough but had normal flu symptoms with nausea and diahrea. Sounds like you should get your docs to check you out again. But syptoms are different in everyone.

I have a cousin and 2 in-laws who had it. All three recovered after 5 days.

I know that there's a medicine to treat swine flew (which I remember was around 150 bucks) that they each took. So maybe that's what helped their recovery. I'm not sure what the name of it is, but you should inquire about a specific treatment for swine flu. It helped my family, should help you.

God bless. I hope you get well soon.

I had the vaccine for it and had some really bad side effects.
After 15 minutes my heart started racing, I smelled copper, I was dizzy, and it seemed I started to pass out. It was really weird an at the time I thought I was having a heart attack and was going to die. It was a strange feeling to feel it get worse and worse without having any control over passing out or getting my heart beat down.

It lasted about 90 seconds. Really Really scary.

Hi, just a tip. If you have a vaccine and experience what you think are side effects of that vaccine, you should report it.

Here is the link to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, or VAERS. This is for people in the U.S., so sorry for guys from U.K. and Australia, I don't know what you guys have, but I assume you have something similar.
