Copeland and Meyers are both fond of calling man "little gods".

The CCC says this...
460 The Word became flesh to make us "partakers of the divine nature":78 "For this is why the Word became man, and the Son of God became the Son of man: so that man, by entering into communion with the Word and thus receiving divine sonship, might become a son of God."79 "For the Son of God became man so that we might become God."80 "The only-begotten Son of God, wanting to make us sharers in his divinity, assumed our nature, so that he, made man, might make men gods."81

I don't particularly know what the psalmist intended one way or another. I added the quote to my obligatory posting of context post because it seemed helpful. What I do know is that theosis has nothing to do with man becoming God (note capital G).

Those 2 witnesses in Revelation are given the powers and authority that Moses and Elijah had in the OT, but they would not have those powers except that it come from YHWH above I would think.

Reve 11:These are the two olives and the two lamp-stands the ones in view of the Lord of the land standing and if any them willing to injure, fire is going forth out of the mouth of them and devouring the enemies of them. And if any should be willing them to injure, thus is binding him to be killed.
These are having authority to lock the heaven that no shower may be raining the days of the prophecy of them, and authority they are having upon of the waters to be turning them into blood and to smite the land in every blow as often ever they should willing.

By being partakers of the divine nature it seems to me at least that Peter is/was saying when we are born-again we are given everything necessary for life and godliness...Not that we become divine by any means. I mean is that not part of the riches of our salvation?

That's correct. We are given a measure of faith, we are not the essence of faith itself.
