Hi everyone
As a follow-on from the thread 'Washed By The Blood Of Jesus', I believe my Lord has asked me to post these words here for you. This is a prayer of repentance to bring us in line with the many blessings that our Lord longs to bestow upon us and our families. I'll be doing this prayer too.
I believe the Lord has also put it in my heart to stand in agreement with you as you pray this prayer. Matthew 18:19 "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." So if you are praying this prayer, please know that I am standing and agreeing with you now. Of course this is between you and the Lord and you can remain annonymous if you choose.
So let us begin:
In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
'Father God, we come to you in the mighty name of your beloved Son Jesus. According to Deuteronomy 6:4 "The LORD -- and the LORD alone -- is our God." We stand before you now in all sincerity, asking for your complete forgiveness. LORD, you know the areas in which we seek fullfilment. We are truly sorry for any mistakes we have made that have brought us into darkness and apart from you. We thankyou to show us any errors in our thinking and in our attitudes that are not in alignment with your perfect Will for us in our lives. We ask for your insight, guidance and direction so that we may receive your mercy, grace and favour in accordance with your wonderful plans for us. Thankyou for giving us your precious Son Jesus, and for the sacrifice that He made for us at Calvary. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen.
