To be honest I find the Jehovas witnesses theory to be the most logical. The Father is the creator (The first, God), the Holy Spirit is the force of God working in men, Jesus is the creation of God and since nothing is impossible for God he made Jesus his equal. Jesus is as importent and great as the Father and therefore him dying on the cross matters a great deal. For the record, I agree that Jesus was at the beginng and "was" before his birth as a human.
Why do I believe this:

Jesus often prayed to God (this goes to show that they are 2 different beings) and the Holy Spirit is described as a force working in men. But this leads me to wonder, are we a monotheistic religion or aren't we?

One God in three persons. The same in form and substance. The trinity is not three entities, but three persons.

Person - 1 archaic : bodily appearance b : the body of a human being; also : the body and clothing <unlawful search of the person> 2 a : one of the three modes of being in the Trinitarian Godhead as understood by Christians b : the unitary personality of Christ that unites the divine and human natures

ENTITY - 1 a : BEING, EXISTENCE; especially : independent, separate, or self-contained existence b : the existence of a thing as contrasted with its attributes 2 : something that has separate and distinct existence and objective or conceptual reality

If you do not believe in the Trinity you are advised to NOT post in this forum. Posting in this forum is a violation of Rule #6. Feel free to post in the Unorthodox Doctrines and other general forums.

really i have found the verse that proves there is a trinity in my studies of the Bible. This is in the King James Version of the Bible. It's in 1 John 5:7-For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. so there is the biblical proof of the Bible for ya. I guess God showed me the answer to my own problem. BUt thanks everyone for your help.

No, that's not "Biblical proof" at all. It's nothing more than a deliberate mangling of God's Word, perpetrated by men who believed in the Trinity but realised that the Bible never mentions it.

For a discussion of I John 5:7 and other Trinitarian frauds, see here.
