Are you called to preach?

1.

Do you feel like God's caling you to preach or teach?
You may ask how can I tell?
One, try the spirits test them out, It is not a sign to ask God why
or to test Him out. If we dont do this then how would we know
it's actually Him. We must try the spirits we are recieving.
Ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find, We need
to seek and ask God is this His spirit or just another
trick of the devil
We have to pray on this without ceasing. refer back to the widow and
the unjust king parable.

Are you of proud mind and vanity? Can you leave the house with no makeup
or not shower just to teach? If fixing yourself up is a number one priority
then your wrong. Your number one priority must be to teach the works of Jesus
and to teach Salvation. A preacher shouldn't wake up on sunday and think, I have a huge
church with tons of funds, or I need to show off my new haircut. The preachers first thoughts
when he awakes should be on his knees and praying Lord help me deliver your message with sharp and
precision so that the children in the lowest and darkest can here and understand. We are all teachers
of the gospel that is our main role on this earth, but some of us have been annoited to teach the teachers.
We are in no way better then us, if they think so then this is pride and real preachers and teachers do not
show pride. They really feel more weak compared to the people they are teaching. Im trying to teach you
something and in NO way shape or form am I better then you, I'm actually not worthy of teaching anything to anyone
about the bible or God's word. We preachers and teachers have a long and hard road ahead and trust me the mud never runs
out it only gets thicker. But why worry?! we have something the enemy doesn't.....Grace.
Im not very well educated nor very well educated on the bible, I don't have a phd or anything close but I do have something
I have the Holy Spirit and most of all I have God.

Do you trust in the Lord?
Are you like me and feel God is calling you to preach or teach and you say but why me? I'm no where near worthy nor
do I have the knowledge these big time preachers have. I dont have alot of knowledge in the bible, why Lord
are you picking me?
If thats what your thinking then dont worry Im thinking it too. But you must revert back it back to the
simplest form possible. Do you pray and ask without faith? Do you not have enough faith that if God is calling
will he not teach you what he wants you to know? O ye of little faith.....surely surely If God is calling you
surely he will put in you what he wants you to do. Or wise he would of choosen someone else. But what if he is
calling someone else and Im just going crazy or something? Well look at your self and dont look skin deep
because you wont find nothing looking skin deep. Do you feel unworthy to speak and teach about the gospel?
Can you name people better then you? Well those two questions might be why he has choosen you. He doesn't
want proud preachers, if they are proud then He wants them to be proud that the BLOOD of Jesus can save us all.
Do you have a pet? When you say no or call its name does it know your voice? Do you know God's voice?

2.

Self proclaimed teachers are very very dangerous. They decieve the very elect and destory homes and split churches.
There reasons my be greed or fame, they are not taught by God but by man. Not saying that real true preachers cant be
taught by man because they have to at first but God sends them true preachers to not lead them away so they can start
building their house on rock.
If a preacher or teacher does not give any glory to God or in their message it doesn't say anything about the BLOOD then you should FLEE as fast as you can

Assuming I do all this, how can I be sure the "confirmation" I feel is truly of God?

To whom are you directing these comments, friend? While I am a Pastor, there are very few clergy on this forum.
We are in no way better then us, if they think so then this is pride and real preachers and teachers do not show pride. They really feel more weak compared to the people they are teaching. Im trying to teach you something and in NO way shape or form am I better then you, I'm actually not worthy of teaching anything to anyone about the bible or God's word. Again friend, what are you trying to accomplish by this post? I'm a bit unclear as to your intended audience. If you're speaking to serving Baptist Pastors, your tone is a wee bit presumptuous, don't you think?
Im not very well educated nor very well educated on the bible, I don't have a phd or anything close but I do have something
I have the Holy Spirit and most of all I have God.
If you are not educated in the Word, then why in the world are you presuming to teach PASTORS? "Apply your heart to instruction
and your ears to words of knowledge." [Pro. 23:12]
Not to suggest that God doesn't use less educated people to proclaim His truth, but one should certainly not place himself in the office of Teacher until he has a keen knowledge of the Scriptures.
Do you trust in the Lord?
Are you like me and feel God is calling you to preach or teach and you say but why me? I'm no where near worthy nor
do I have the knowledge these big time preachers have. I dont have alot of knowledge in the bible, why Lord

Do you have a pet? When you say no or call its name does it know your voice? Do you know God's voice?
If I didn't know better, I'd think you were encouraging people to shift their reliance from God's inerrant Word, to some sort of personal charismatic experience. Should this be the case, I think you will find many of us exceedingly unresponsive.
2.

Self proclaimed teachers are very very dangerous. They decieve the very elect and destory homes and split churches.
I assume that you do not include yourself in this caution?
There reasons my be greed or fame, they are not taught by God but by man. Not saying that real true preachers cant be

building their house on rock.

Now let me see if I get this straight.... If I don't preach on the blood of Christ in every sermon, or at least make mention thereof, I'm a false teacher? Well friend, get ready for some serious theological challenges.

Tim,
You got it all wrong, I couldn't find any messages on this topic so I figured I would share it. No where am I saying to leave the word I would never tell anyone that. And while reading this I think you put me in every question, one for mentioning my knowledge and how I said I dont have alot in it. If I was writing this for me then I wouldn't of wrote it and put it for others to see.Im not a pastor nor a teacher in a church, I haven't quite figured it out yet what I'm suppose to do. But to your question about knowledge of the bible, Do you have keen knowledge in it? Why is their people all over the world, real smart people trying to figure it out eveyday for thousands of years and still havent? Who has super keen knowledge of the bible? Who understands it all? Not me and if you see proud preaching as good, it all depends what they are proud about. Are they proud and cocky because their church is better then someone elses? or are they proud that God is working. Don't read the post thinking your gonna correct things and fix someone read it as if you had nothing

Just a couple of thoughts, Drew.

One: Welcome to CF. Glad to have you aboard and hope your time here is a benefit to you.

Two: Allow me to offer some helpful (albeit unsolicited) advice. The best way to introduce yourself to a group of strangers probably isn't to walk into a crowded room and place yourself in a position of authority like that of "teacher". You may think this attitude smacks of arrogance (i.e. "Who are YOU to teach ME?!?") but there are social protocols that, if followed, can grease the skids for you to impart truth to the masses.

Kicking in the door and haphazardously spraying scriptures and thoughts like a lawn sprinkler will definitely garner a response. It just won't be the response you're expecting; especially among the brethren. If you truly want to teach the word, spend some time building relationships with those you wish to teach. If you want to PREACH the word, then keep on doing what you're doing. I just hope you have a thick skin.

Just my .02. Do with it what you will and once again, welcome to CF!

Hey Drew, if you want to teach, you need to go take some classes. Trust me on this one. You have no idea how much you don't know until you are taught by someone with a PhD. :)

I wish you the best in your calling, just be careful not to get sidetracked with the sensational.

Welcome Drew.

I'm confused by your post? It's sort of all over the place.

As for me, I'm not qualified to preach, but I have great respect and admiration for those who are, (as long as it's bible based).

I'm content with serving the Lord, in whatever capacity I can, and trust me, it's not much. :)

When you have been preaching for 15-30 years then you can presume to teach preachers. Until then it would be best for you to just listen, read and learn. You don't have to agree with everything but if a man is truly called of God to preach and what he preaches is the Word, as in the SCriptures, then you ought to hear him. If what he preaches isn't the Word then don't listen to him.

Edit: I realized after reading my post that it may seem as though I am telling you not to post here but that isn't my intention. Post all you wish. Just don't presume to tell preachers what or how they ought to preach.

How did Jesus introduce himself? Did he commune with the wicked or did he cast them out of his father;s house

I might be young but listen, no man shape or form will tell me when and why I can not teach or preach the word of God! I will continue to set my self in front of the wolves so that they might eat me uo but maybe out of 10 million on of those might see Christ before Im ate!

I am sorry for the "all over the place" this was just a guide of very few lines I felt like I needed to make my 3 or 4 lines into something understandable

Don't stop seeking, my brother. Grow in His wisdom and grace. God bless you in your desire to teach the word of God.
