oh im blessed brother! god is a great god!
im truely overwhelmed at how mighty and awesome he is!
makes me shout! gets me excited.
i guess you can tell im pentecostal, but that dont matter.
GOD IS AWESOME!

im enjoying this site very much, i use to go to christian forum where mainly it was all teenagers, and really these people didnt know alot about the word(or even care really)so i got in debates with them alot, theyd start cussin and get all mad, call me all kinda names and stuff.
ive only had one aregument so far here, but it is all discussion, thats fine.

im just really thankful to be around mature beleivers who didnt get saved yesterday,(i love those who did) but when i need help, i cant run to them, and when i post one of my sermons they cant really reproof me to help me get better.
(im not dissing young beleivers at all, but i do need strong beleivers who can sharpen me)
its good to be around mature brothers and sisters who have redeemed the time and studied to show themselves approved, well founded people. and i love that.

I'm new also and can tell this is a good one. I know we will have inhouse debates and hope everone can see that I am teachable but do have some stronge views. The part that's missing in these forums is when I'm being absurd for humor sake you can't see the smirk on my face or the tone in my voice. These thing are fun and educational. I sould be putting a new carburator on my truck but I'd rather be here right now......guess I'm hooked.

hey rkbo i agree that online forums can pose a subtle challenge for communication... i have found sometimes that i am mis-understood. i figure it has something to do with, slang, intent, command of the english language and just plain weirdness on my part... but i've been blessed to be able to add smiles throughout my posts

makes up for *most* of my facial expressions (the ones you might want to see, anyway

)
check out this link that Erwin and the forum have provided: http://my.christian-forums.com/christian-forums/faq.html#smilies
you may already know how to show all the smiles, i'm posting this because i wish i were exposed to them early on in my forum experience ....

keep posting,
take care!!!

:) Being new here myself, I just want to say I'm excited about being here. The Lord has really been putting a hunger in my heart lately to learn as much as I can about Him. And I've been sucking stuff up like a sponge. Hee!

I figured this would be a good thread to make my first post in, just to see how things go, i.e. as in this is an experiment to make sure I know HOW to post. Being technologically "challenged", it'll be awhile until I figure out how to use all the little doodads on the post message page.

Having spent time in About.com's Christianity-general forum, I really need to go somewhere and have discussions where I won't get bashed for what I believe. I think I was getting worn down by all the negativeness. : )

While I don't mind going head to head with skeptics and so forth, it does get to a person. Maybe I can strike a happy balance between the two. I'm not willing to give up on a couple of them in here and the whole reason I started posting there to begin with was in the hopes that something I would say would make someone stand up and take notice, but a lot of times these people are as adamant about their non belief as we are about our belief. So it makes me wonder what good, if any, I was doing in there.

Anyway, after that longwinded speech, I just wanted to say hi to everyone here and enjoy discussing with you soon.
