Here Paul uses both the word "newness" and "oldness" referring to the 2 Covenants mentioned in Jeremiah 31 and Galatian 4.
This is also symbolized in the parable of the "old/new wineskins" of Luke 5:37-39 and referenced in Hebrews 8:13

Not really sure of the exact rendering of this word, though it could be a form of "crouching". Lexicon has a few different meanings for the root word #2749.

Some Bible versions leave out "finding" [NASB].

I found this interesting. I decided to look back in Genesis concerning the "adam/eve" and behold! the LXX uses the root word #538 in this verse after they broke the Command of YHWH in the garden!

Genesis 3:13 And YHWH 'Elohiym is saying to the woman "what this you did? And the woman is saying "the nachash, he beguiled/deceived/hpathsen<#538 me and I am eating".
