There is not anything wrong with worshipping Jesus...as long as you don't worship Him as God.
Hebrews 2
7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
If made and created isn't the same...repeated twice here...then tell me what it does mean.
Sarah called Abraham lord...alot of people worship alot of things...we are wrong when we worship someone or something as God.
That's a very nice example of taking a verse out of context.
Why don't you read the first chapter of Hebrews first?
Hebrews 1:1-4 says:
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
This clearly teaches that Jesus and God the Father are equal ontologically.
Not enough proof for you?
Continiue on in verse 8 and 9:
But to the Son He says:
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.
Jesus was referring to this in Matthew 22:41-46:
While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42 saying, What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?
They said to Him, The Son of David.
43 He said to them, How then does David in the Spirit call Him Lord, saying:
44 The Lord said to my Lord,
Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool ?
45 If David then calls Him Lord, how is He his Son? 46 And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day on did anyone dare question Him anymore.
God the Father is talking to Jesus and calling him God.
Nothing could be clearer.
