Does anyone know of a good book, or a few good books, to read with your spouse before you have children? I am leading a small group of newly married couples and they have lots of questions about children and parenting.
Aren't you and they jumping the gun a bit? Children are stressors on the marriage. Any cracks that are there will widen and you will have to work even more to fix them. The troubles that come with children's sickness and injuries can either weld you together or break you apart. I think the two should be even more one before they have to split their energies on children.
Home by Choice was really good, and Born Dancing (this one is out of print, but you can find used copies!) is turning out to be VERY good.
What exactly are they looking for?
Husband Coached Childbirth by Robert A Bradley, MD, Marjie, Jay & James Hathaway, AAHCC
Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way by Susan McCutcheon, AAHCC
Or really anything else Bradley related you can lay your hands on.
