Today my friend Ann of 4 years is moving house and leaving the village in which we live. Our children are really good friends too and have been since they were babies.

Tomorrow one of my sons other friends is also moving house and leaving the village. His mum and I have become quite good friends in the past few months as they have gone to nursery together.

So now both Zak and I are losing our friends, he has not yet understood that two of his friend wont be starting "big school" with him in September, and Im just feeling deflated:sigh:

Ann is a christian and I have really valued the time we have spent together, not that we have done anything really spiritual during that time, mainly having the kids playing round our feet but just being able to talk about spiritual stuff from time to time with another mum has been great.

Just thought I'd share. Feel free to share also.

I am probably the world's worst friends-maker so I realize it's not easy loosing the people you're comfortable with.

Going off to college a few years ago helped me realize though that I can handle it. There's nothing like submerging yourself into a new lifestyle to help you adjust/create new friendships. So far I've made the closest friends I've ever had being here.

Maybe God wants you to find some new people to be an inspiration to. Your son is starting "big school"...maybe this will be a great way to meet some new kids and their parents! Be optimistic! :)

I know this feeling. God bless you.
