*only* 1500 cubic miles? That's weak. God can do better than that. BTW, why would you measure a city in *cubic* miles?

Look at the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex: Dallas ? Fort Worth Metroplex - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

9,286 sq. mi.

I lived there, awesome place.

This is a little mathematical error AV made here. In Relevations, the New Jerusalem is described as 1500 miles cubed... 3,375 billion cubic miles. That would mean this cozy little town would be about one eighth of the size of the moon, if I calculated that correctly.

Of course, the numerological relevance of the measurements and other features of this "city" is kind of lost to the literalists.

Here's what Wiki has to say about New Jerusalem: LINK

One of the more striking features of the New Jerusalem is its vast size. In 21:16, the angel measures the city with a golden rod or reed, and records it as being 12,000 stadia by 12,000 stadia at the base, as well as 12,000 stadia high. A stadion is usually stated as 185.4 meters, or 600 feet, so the base has dimensions of about 2225 km by 2225 km, or 1500 miles by 1500 miles. These measurements equate to an area of 4.9 million square kilometers, which is larger than the 3,892,685 km² of the 25 states of the European Union in 2005, but smaller than the 7,617,930 km² of Australia. It is 79% of the area of the Middle East which may have around 6,289,592 km². In the ancient Greek system of measurement, the base of the New Jerusalem would have been equal to 144 million square stadia. If rested on the Earth, its ceiling would be inside the exosphere. If the entire flat area of the foundation was supported by the Earth, a chord of 1500 miles would generate a trench on the Earth of about 71.6 miles deep at the very center of the base:

.
It is unclear whether the city is in the form of a cube or a pyramid:

:D Nope...I'm my own puppet. So what about AV's question...if not the stuff of God, what ARE angels made of?

.

What are unicorns, the tooth fairy, hobbits, leprechauns, that sneaky teapot orbiting Mars and Jack Dawson made of?

i guess, i don't really think so, hes not really doing it to make some theological point, hes doing it to prove science is useless.
That's my job as a presuppositionist.
Wikipedia - Presupposition apologetics said:
In Christian theology, presuppositionalism is a school of apologetics that aims to present a rational basis for the Christian faith and defend it against objections primarily by exposing the perceived flaws of other worldviews while the Bible, as divine revelation, is presupposed. It claims that apart from presuppositions, one could not make sense of any human experience, and there can be no set of neutral assumptions from which to reason with a non-Christian.

...

Presuppositionalists compare their presupposition against other ultimate standards such as reason, empirical experience, and subjective feeling.
Emphases mine.

You do your job well.

Sorry but AV is one of the worst apologists of any type you could come across.

too bad you are oblivious to how bankrupt and bad your arguments are.

In Christian theology, presuppositionalism is a school of apologetics that aims to present a rational basis for the Christian faith and defend it against objections primarily by exposing the perceived flaws of other worldviews while the Bible, as divine revelation, is presupposed
this just goes to show you how utterly useless apologetics are, being that 9 times out of 10 the apologist is clueless about the other worldviews or their supposed "flaws".

you prove it in this thread AV; you know nothing about the first law, but make sweeping statements about it. it doesn't help that you basically demand people don't bring up flaws in your arguments, even to the point of ignoring what the bible says in favor of your silly pet beliefs that don't match the words in gen 1:1

good luck on those so called flaws that you perceive that aren't there AV, because as far as i can see they are all in your mind, not reality.
