If that's your answer, then again, I'll stick with my convictions that science cannot hold a candle to God.
Your personal interpretation of "God" holds not a candle to the scientific method.
The scientific method gets real world results. Your deity does not.
When people pray to "god" to heal someone involved in a quadruple bypass surgery, who are they *really* praying to?

That means that scientists aren't qualified to tell me (or anyone), for example, that any given event in the Bible didn't happen, if the Bible says it did.
Well, when you invoke so-called "events" that cannot be verified, you might have a point.
(before you bash me for that, you might want to re-read it)

Quite frankly, scientists aren't "qualified" (according to your pov) regarding the death and resurrection of Osiris.
And you would be quite right.
For a reason that you may or may not realize.

Not exactly. Even if science cannot falsify the... unfaslifiable (invizibl angels, invizibl gods), in can falsify the actions of such beings if the evidence points otherwise. As it were, science has falsified many creationist claims, no matter how often they persist in making them.

Of course, you can always say your gods and angels did whatever and then set it up to look otherwise, but that gives rise to a whole set of theological problems.

We know some things in the Bible didn't happen literally. We would notice if a worldwide flood happened. We would see evidence that everything was created in 6 days.

Ofcourse, "true believers" can weasel out of that "thanks" to their ignorance of science, reason or worse and just claim "it's a miracle". That just makes their god a deceiver, since it would mean he created false evidence.

Are you conceding the point?
Are you kidding me?

Let me reiterate: Science is too myopic to be of any threat to the Bible.

And until scientists can build a machine that can do this:
2 Kings 6:17 said:
And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
--- they'll remain myopic.

How about telling you that your interpretarion of scripture is incorrect? Or will you claim that science cannot hold a candle to you?

Anything else?
Righto
Your personal interpretation of the Christian deity "cleaned up" after the flood.
Your personal interpretation of the Christian deity created "embedded age".
Im sure your personal interpretation of the Christian deity even cleaned up after the "resurrection" of your "Savior".

Here's the thing AV1611VET, and I might (MIGHT) be the first one to be this direct with you.....

Not everyone agrees with your personal interpretation of the bible. Not even everyone (Christian and otherwise) agrees with your KJVO pov. As a matter of fact, many many many Christians (not to mention those non-christians like me) reject your literalist approach, and (even more) your KJVO approach (just take a look on this forum for Creationist Christians, and then take a day to peruse in the Christian Only Origins Theology forum)-

Of course, you already know that you are at odds within the "Body of Christ", and you know that you are guilty of variance on these very forums (although you seem to pick and choose who you want to engage this sin with).

I applaud your admission of ignorance. I too, am ignorant in many things. However, I DO NOT DEBATE how to take care of a car engine, and I DO NOT DEBATE how to balance a checkbook (on any of the 10+ forums I belong to)
Wanna know why?
Because I am rather ignorant in regard to those subjects, and I don't claim to hold "Mechanics" or "CPA's" or any others to a "Higher Standard".

science cannot detect things that aren't defined, no. You have to give it something to work with... if you tell the police, "go find Joe" they won't be able to either, and it's not because they're "myopic".
Check it out:

You: Hey Mr. Officer, can you find Joe for me? He's missing.
Officer: I'd be glad to help. What's he look like?
You: Well, nobody's actually seen him.
Officer: ... Ok, well when was the last you've heard of him?
You: Never. We have stories from thousands of years ago that say people have heard his voice though.
Officer: ...
You: And at one point, the mountains were full of fiery chariots carrying guys like this.
Officer: ... Will you come with me please?

If he can build such a machine --- so sensitive that it can detect the spirit world --- then I stand corrected.

If you actually think such a thing were possible AV, then i'm araid you don't understand the nature of spiritual things.

Aw, shucks. AV can't take it anymore. Should've stayed away, AV.

We'll just chalk up another loss for you, then.

The "you cant prove it doesnt exist" argument really has been heard about enough times. Its the thinnest possible defense for an idea. Anyway, ttere was a reques to refrain from further posting if it had nothing to say about the arrangement of fossils in the geological column.
