Davide!!!!!!!! It is wonderful to see you!!!!! (This is veritas_et_puritas :D )

How have you been? Would you tell us a bit about how religious life is going for you?

Thank you so much for checking in! You crossed my mind the other day, and I was wondering about you. :)

Religious life is going very well. I am now 10 months into my postulancy, and have two months left before entering the novitiate (for those who may not know, I am with the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate).

Here is a new video that just went live Yesterday;
Video - Highlights of Solemn High Mass, St. John Lateran's Basilica

By the way, it is good to see some familiar faces still around on this board. I trust all is going well here.

Blessings,

-Davide

Hello, Rising_Suns

I have missed you too.

As part of my Masters Degree in Linguistics, I did a paper on the science fiction theological novel, A Case of Conscience, by James Blish. It was a very interesting read because Blish, an agnostic, did an excellent job in portraying the protagonist as a Jesuit Priest. I was wondering if you or any of your fellow religious have ever read that book.

Hey Davide!!!

I was just talking about you the other day and how we miss having your wisdom and patience around these parts. I pray that you are doing well and that God is growing you in even greater holiness!

Just checked out the photos....are you up here at the monestary in Maine?!!

The Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate (FFI) is a Roman Catholic Institute of Religious Life with Pontifical Right established by Pope John Paul II on 1 January 1998. The FFI was founded by two Franciscan Conventual priests and is a reformed Franciscan Conventual Religious Institute living the Rule of St. Francis of Assisi, the Regula Bullata, according to the Traccia Mariana.

The FFI is the male branch of the Franciscan family of the Immaculate. The female branch are the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate. And the last branch of the family is the Franciscan Tertiaries of the Immaculate composed mainly of lay people. An offshoot of the Tertiaries are the Third Order Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate.

Dear all,
Thank you all for the kind welcome; you are all so very kind. I would have liked to catch up with each one of you personally, but I unfortunately will not be able to stay here on the forums, as I will be returning to the friary in a couple days (I am now on my two-week vacation, which I may never get again).

If there is only one thing I could solicit in your generosity, it is that you please remember me in your prayers, as I will for you all. Life in the religious state has been challenging, but also extremely rewarding as well, especially in coming to a deeper understanding of the love of God.

In the words of our founder, Fr. Stephano,
may the smile of the Immaculate, the beat of Her heart, and the tenderness of Her motherly love always accompany you,

-Davide
