Hi, my name's Joshua, but people call me Josh. I live and grew up in South Africa and love it here. I'm currently studying for a diploma in Animation, and plan on branching into IT Programming next year. I live alone, and all my family have moved over seas, except for Jesus. I have a girlfriend. She's Christian (EBC), but she isn't Baptist. So she's not saved yet... lol. Um... I'm 19 turning 20. Dealing with quite a hectic life at the moment, but through interacting with other people in my age group at College I have realised I'm not the only one. Even the well-off students have difficult lives. I got saved a couple months ago, after a radical vision filled with demons, angels and drugs. It was a wake up call I needed. I had taken drugs before. So it wasn't anything special. I think the old devil just used this as an occassion to get me big time. It lasted about 9 hours. I almost got arrested by the police and some security gaurds. 6 demons communicated with me. 2 visually revealed themselves to me. It felt very real, but I realise that the drugs probably intensified the vision. All I know is my first encounter with a shadowy creature with a hatred and malice so inhuman was unlike anything I had ever experienced...

An old friend of mine, also Baptist, along with two other friends whom I didn't really know started helping me out. And it wasnt like, do you want help? No!-- Ok, we respect your opinion. I had no choice. 4/5 months later my life has more direction. God is great. I'm reading the Word now. Listenin to some good American gospel soul... yeah. Life is pretty darn fantastic.

One thing I realised about being a christian in contrast with being a wordly guy, is it is a lot more fulfilling in the short and long term. Worldly ways are just good short term. Sexual sin, drugs, gansterism, violence, hatred, cursing and the like mess you up in the long run but feel good in the short term. That's why it is important to be disciplined with yourself and never refuse help from another. Be open, be loving be respectful.

Please pray for my studies and The Church in Dagama Park. We are quite small but want to reach more people and be less ashamed. Please also pray for me and my girlfriend. We met a couple weeks ago. We struggeling a bit with keeping things godly. Pray for my job situation. I plan on maintaining 2 jobs during my june-july holidays (data capturing and shelf packing at a shop). Please pray for healing for a brother of mine that has prostate cancer...

Otherwise its awesome to be on CF. I have heard many great things of the Church in CF

I will be in prayer for you. I want you to always remember that "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" Romans 8:28.

P.S.- I've always wanted to visit South Africa, I am even thinking about carrying out one of my semesters over there.
