Fair enough --- it'll certainly simplify this conversation, won't it?

I'm not sure why you're here then, but I sure don't plan on letting you spread any Godless scientific rhetoric unchecked, either.

but she has a christian symbol next to her name. how could she possibly spread "Godless scientific rhetoric"? Because you know, that's really my department.

I know many christains that have no problem reconsidering their beliefs with modern science.

They do it by subordinating the Bible to Science.

I do just the opposite --- giving God the preeminence, not Mother Nature.

Why would I spread anything Godless? I believe in God and in Jesus. I just don't believe in talking snakes and fairy tales.

I really suggest you read Finding Darwin's God if you're so open minded toward science. Or how about reading Francis Collins's book The Language of God for that matter?

You yourself said that the Bible is not a scientific textbook. And it's clearly not. It doesn't teach us a thing about the cosmos at large nor does it teach us anything about quantum physics.

If one believes that God created the Earth and the heavens, then surely the Earth and the heavens are God's primary work. Study of the Earth and the heavens should be foundational. Placing an object such as the Bible before them is idolotry.

I think you mean that they do it by subordinating your flawed interpretation of scripture to reality. You do the opposite. You give preemenence to your flawed interpretation of scripture and call it "God's Word."

Because God is the author of Mother Nature, signed with His own signature, I think your missing the boat.
I happen to have a copy of His diary (as I'm sure you do too), and It says Mother Nature is hostile to His creation.

For one thing, we tend not to live nearly as long.

No, thanks.

If, after having read those books, it led you to call it a "talking snake" --- I'll pass.

Hmmm... which part of that "diary" did God write with his own hands??

The Bible is what led me to call it a talking snake. According to the Bible, this magic snake developed the ability to speak to humans via vocal chords that snakes are not known to have.

You yourself said that the Bible is not a scientific textbook. And it's clearly not. It doesn't teach us a thing about the cosmos at large nor does it teach us anything about quantum physics.
And yet, through faith, we understand more than those who prefer science:
Hebrews 11:3 said:
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Why do you suppose that is?
If one believes that God created the Earth and the heavens, then surely the Earth and the heavens are God's primary work. Study of the Earth and the heavens should be foundational.
You can study all you want --- but if you do it from a uniformitarian perspective --- well --- as my mother used to say: "Study long - study wrong."
Placing an object such as the Bible before them is idolotry.
I've already shown from the Scriptures how you guys tend to subordinate retaining God in your knowledge to retaining nature in your knowledge is a form of worship.

You even have your own bibles: The 2009 McGraw-Hill Bible --- [constantly-updated version].

You don't know the principles of amanuensis, do you?

But to answer your question (sorta) --- God autographed 4 things --- can you name them?

She is?

Show me entropy in Genesis 1.

Here it is,
And God made the two great lights--the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night--and the stars. (Genesis 1:16)
For a star to work, hydrogen fusion is required. This necessitates a release of heat, which causes an increase in the universe's entropy. Thus God set in motion the processes by which the universe's entropy is increased. It is of no theological consequence, at least not when we recognize that entropy has no morality associated with it.
