Hello to all.

This is something that I cannot discuss with people I actually know because of the gravity of the situation so I've come here.

Someone very close to me is a pastor. I will not state his actual relation to me. Over the past several months, I've observed inappropriate contentographic links in his web history in addition to lewd web searches. Some of these searches came within mere hours of him taking the pulpit!

Obviously, this was a shock, but not a surprise. I've seen stunning figures regarding pastors and inappropriate contentography.

This raises obvious problems. If this were ever released, the spiritual casualties would be untold. The church he pastors is growing, many people admire him greatly, and I am disgusted by what I know and the fact that I cannot tell anyone. He's even preached against inappropriate contentography!

I am a distant Christian, I will admit. I am confused by a lot of things and am not fully committed to Christ. However, this has completely blown what little I had totally out of the water.

I cannot sit in the sanctuary any longer when he preaches. I have to move myself to the nursery or children's ministry.

This man was spent years in prison, was a drug addict and alcoholic before God saved him and called him into the ministry. However, it appears as some habits have such a grip so as to make drugs and alcohol seem minuscule.

What should I do? I'm so torn and confused.

Praying for you ALBert x

I've been thinking about you and how hard this must be for you. I guess the only man who has never sinned was Jesus - For we have 'All sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God'. (Romans 3:23) Unfortunately this does includes our ever so loved Pastors.. It is very hard when the sin is an 'Outward Sin' that we can see and not an 'Inward sin' like bad thoughts etc that we cant see.

I am praying that somehow this burden will be lifted from your shoulders my friend.

All pastors are sinners.... as are all people.
It is sad that inappropriate contentography is a trap to so many.. I am praying that he will find the strength and grace to escape from it.
Praying peace and an open door for you to bring up this issue

I remember a time several years ago I saw my Sunday school teacher drunk at a restaurant and he was falling all over me. I remember feeling so betrayed and hurt. I had to realize though that he is human and sin is in our nature. The best thing you can do for him is pray for him. I pray that God will reveal to him his sin. May God open up the eyes to his heart and show him the sin he is committing.

You could sit him down and let him know that you know. He will either be angry or embarrassed and ashamed. Let him know that you really looked up to him and that he let you down. He may even deny it, but deep down he will be ashamed.
