So yeah, I'm an atheist, but I feel sort of compelled to answer this. I feel a huge sense of profoundness when I think of the universe as a whole. I feel like this must be what Christians and other believers feel when they say they just feel God. For me, it's just a sense of the immenseness of the universe. That we are so small and insignificant.

Some people have tried to tell me that this is God, but I disagree. I don't feel a personal sense or sense that I am in some way important to this "force" (nature). It makes me so happy when I think of the universe just going on and on. It's so mysterious and I can't wait until we find out more about it!

or know they're with you?
:)
I didn't always know this. I had faith in it once, but didn't really know for certain. Then I lost that faith and wandered around for a while. Then God spoke to me and all doubt was gone. I do not simply believe, I know for certain. Jesus is Lord.

immm.....hard to describe in words, because my God is un-described to me

he is my Creator, the Glorious, the Merciful, the Great, the one who I always return back to...................etc

if I keep on writing, I will not finish.

so I can just conclude all that in this verse from the Holy Quran:

The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He hath made for you pairs of yourselves, and of the cattle also pairs, whereby He multiplieth you. Naught is as His likeness; and He is the Hearer, the Seer

Typical of me. I just want to know how everyone sees their god/s.
What do you feel when you think of them or know they're with you?
:)

Gods are based on belief only. So how can anybody claim to "know" God?

There are many theists who feel they have been in the presence of their Deity. Even those who have not can still have feelings about their Deity when they think of them, or other such things..

I tend to see things much differently than most. For me, God IS THE ONLY reality. As such, from my perspective, we live in the power and life of God not unlike like how a fish swims in water but is not aware of it.

For me, God is the Light in darkness, Wisdom in ignorance, and the truest definition of Love in a world of self-serving ambition. I like what one person here said in summarizing God into the word "everything." God is everything to me that I cannot be but hope to be (i.e. forgiving, patient, loving, faithful, etc. . .).

Gods are not part of objective reality so how can anybody feel, think or assume it's a God? It's only in the mind and you know the old saying? The mind is terrible thing to waste.

The thing is, Franklin, your argument applies even to life as we know it. Quantum physicists have proven we perceive an objective reality that is quite limited in scope. We know there's more, but logically, we can't explain it.

For some believers (like myself) we accept (on faith) that there is more beyond what we define as objective reality.

But, truly, to rely only upon objective reality significantly limits ones understanding even of our known existence.

Lord Krishna is a complete personality of human relationships.

There are millions who look to him as friend, Guru.
There are those who love him as son, brother, husband and lover.
and of course there are many who hate him and consider him enemy.

When you read the life history of Krishna , you will find all these relations beautifully handled by supreme personality of Godhead in human form.

I consider him as my best friend who is always there next to me and taking care of all my worldly and spiritual needs.:)

Why do you insist that anyone arguing with you do so on your terms, accepting the postulates of your worldview as axiomatic? To insist that we accept the non-existence of god(s) as part of objective reality is to do so.

It depends which God[dess]; almost always, however, the emotions are positive and strong. With one I can feel devotion and love; or another, the most intense pleasure at absolutely every piece of [mis]fortune, so that I can't help but laugh.

In short, I know they're with me by emotional responses. If they gave me anything more - like actually seeing or hearing them - I'd start to question my sanity.
