Hey FloatingAxe

First of all, I have to say, I've read alot of your posts and you're quite famous around here so I've been looking forward to talk to you someday :)

I just typed a pretty long reply to Strong In Him's post so I would kindly ask you to read that one... I dont feel like typing it once again...

Hope to hear from you soon :D and talk to you later

~Thomas.

I'm a bit amused that you think I'm famous here! (more like infamous!)....:zoro:

Just for your info---God doesn't miss one single prayer we speak. He is never too busy for any of His kids.
You see, He longs to hear us call upon Him.

Glad to speak with you again sometime.

Boy QC, I can totally relate to what you are going through and what happened to you. You can file a grievance! I didn't do that and I regret not doing it. Still to this day I do not know why I got fired by my so called "Christian" supervisor who had to have lied or not bothered to check the details very closely. I have not been hired to a job since. I can tell you that I regret not taking it up with them but I fell into a million little pieces the minute I got out the door and ran to another state to take time to heal and then came back home to receive more harassment in the mail. I regret not taking action. I should have!!!

You do have the right to see your employment file & you can take copies of anything you were required to sign (i.e. previous reviews). Call HR and speak with them directly - at this point you don't even need to talk to your manager. Explain to HR your concerns and see what they say

There is no paper trail. I was never given a review. All I ever knew was that...

my work was getting done on time [early in almost all cases],
customers were coming into the department complimenting me and calling complimenting me,
there were not mistakes behind my work,
I got along with co-workers and they liked me,
I never made any off-color or race-based comments,
I was at work every day [never called out, etc],
I didn't talk about God at work,
and I put my whole being into it.

I even went and read Route 33, where there were 280 meter locations in the commercial area. I hand-wrote a location for each meter, since they were hard to find, and inputted all 280 meter locations into the computer so that the next time the route was read, the person would not have all these problems finding the water meters.

I did a lot of quality work like this.

To the person who said "I've never seen a situation where the employee was totally innocent", you define "totally innocent". I mean, give me a break. If you lay your pencil on the desk the wrong way, are you seriously saying that the employer is justified in firing you?

From my point of view, everyone makes mistakes, and this is what the training / probationary period is for in the first place. When I trained meter readers [10 or 12 of them when I worked in NC], I didn't tell the boss about their little mistakes which had nothing to do with performance of the job.

It's not like I was there for 3 years and coming to work 30 minutes late every day.

I had only been there 6 months, and any "fault" as you wish to call it, was nothing that was new to them or that they had not done themselves.

That's WHY you have probation -- so people can learn a job.

It's not so you can rake them over the coals for not knowing.

My performance was far above average, and I have no regrets.

All my work got done in a timely [early] manner, with proficiency, courtesy, diligence, and focus.

There was no reason for them to fire me, regardless of what some may care to insinuate.

I walk away from them with a clear conscience.

Mate, you had did what you had to do.

Now focus on what you need to do, and forget what has happened. It's all past history now mate.

If you keep on pondering on it and keep on ensuring others understand that you did a good job, you will probably become "double-minded" mate.

You don't want that mate.

Just put all your focus in what you want now, and forget what has happened.

No doubt you have forgiven those who were involved in your sacking.

Remember our Lord Jesus Christ says that when HE forgives HE remembers no more.

Take care and blessings.:)

QC - what you have to realize is that it is not you they dislike - it is The Spirit within you that is causing them to rise up against you.

I have a friend that has problems wherever she goes - she has faith unbelievable and when she comes across people who do not believe - they have an instant dislike for her - it is not her they dislike - but the Spirit within her - it is a threat to them and this is probably what you are dealing with here.

So hold your head high, you have nothing to hang your head over - All throughout the Bible God's people have been misjudged all because of The Spirit within them.

You don't need to try and defend yourself - people realize that you have been done wrong - but you are in a situation where you can do nothing about it and the more you try to justify it the more you will be hurting.

It is hard to move on when your life is in shambles - but this is what we must do and the first step of moving on happens in the mind. Just show the enemy that this will not bring you down, put the enemy behind you - lift up your head and say OK Lord - my hand is in your hand - where are we going - The Bible says to plan our footsteps and He will lead us.

Just keep going back to the Bible that says 'I have a future for you and it is good and not bad' We can't see the end from the beginning and by faith just put that foot on the ladder and move up.

Praying for you.

I might agree with you if I have not had so many so-called coincidences and/or luck...all my life.

perhaps you are a very lucky person then =D

if you try hard enough, you'll be able to make something out of it every time

 HE brought the whole world and everything on it into existence with just a few words....what more could there be for HIM to do that HE would be too occupied with something else in order to take care of me?

How exactly do you know he did? How do you know it wasnt evolution or the big bang?

I have never found HIM to be too busy with other things that HE could not meet my requests, no matter how measly they may sound to some. HE IS able to do any and all things simply by a work and at my calling out to HIM for help. HE does not even need all the details for HE knows what I need even before I ask. While HE has shown me ways that I can contribute toward my needs, and it is expected that I make use of those things, HE has never left me or forsaken me without showing me the way out.

This is something we can, in no way, solve...
by following this "trail" we once again venture of to the question "is God real?"

I say he doesnt, you say he does. You believe he hears all your prayers and meet your requests... I believe that's absolutely untrue. Because if there would be a God out there, I'm pretty sure he wont take care of these puny human requests...

~Thomas.

Thomas, could you start another thread please to discuss these things?

I'd love to join in a conversation with you (if you're still talking to me, that is :)), but this thread will probably be closed if we get off topic, and that would be a shame for Questioning Christian.

I agree with this completely. It has happened to me numerous times...it is a pattern. It is spiritual in nature. The kingdom of this world is naturally at enmity with the kingdom of God in us--they don't even know why they hate you, and they may not even know that hatred is what they are experiencing--it is out of their control--Satan's kingdom is at work.

But! Greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world.
You can take that to the bank!

God sees the whole thing, brother. When I am treated unjustly, I simply remember God sees everything and He will bring my justice to light. Also, He is my avenger, as long as I do not take vengeance in my hands, or harbor unforgiveness. Another thing, He's my Provider. He will line up a job for you.

I heard a testimony recently of a guy next in line to become supervisor for the insurance company he worked for, only another guy got it unjustly. He resolved to be the first to congratulate him on his promotion, and he honored him as his boss. It wasn't long until he was offered a job. The men who met with him made him a great offer. He told them he wasn't interested because he had been with the company for a long time, made good pay, good benefits, yada-yada. They asked him to please think it over and meet with them again. Of course they were buying his gourmet lunch. He went home and talked it over with his wife. Said if they offered him $$$, 3 X the amount he was making he would take it. This he said not to get more money, but to get them to leave him alone! Well he met with them, and before he could say anything they pushed papers across to him, and he was shocked, it was 4 times the amount! Seeing the look on his face, they read it as he was not pleased with it, and raised it higher! In the end he took the job.

You never know what the Lord has lined up. Just don't fall into the mully-grubs, brother. Look up, forgive, and rejoice in the Lord for what He will do.

I am praying for you. Your story has moved me.

reminds me of a job I had years back in Ft Lauderdale, I was the only Christian in the workplace, was like I was a external conscience in there to them, I refused to touch a job if I knew they were stealing from a customer, had some gay people there, they for sure did not like me, because of my beliefs, went on my first vacation, came back I was replaced, boss said nobody wanted to work around me, he did let me know he found me another job across town, I just thanked him and told him God will provide me with a job and told him I did not need his job offer.
the next day I had a new job, taking home a hundred more than I was getting and offered, and I was able to witness to my new co workers, some got saved. :)

OK, I told you what the law is in California. I work with it every day. So do many Christian brothers and sisters. Do we agree with all these laws? Certainly not. However, we have to abide with them.
It is up to the voters of California to fix them.
That has not been happening. The same folks are re elected over and over again. As a State employee, it looks to me like no one really cares.

Please take a look at your Federal leaders. You have a Congress and Senate that has a historical low approval rating. In my younger years, the common saying was "Throw the Rascals out!!!". If you or I did not do our job any better than these folks do, or the leaders in California, we would he out of a job in a hot second.
Not hese guys. If our own Senator or Congressman seems to be doing good for "us", we re elect them.
We need a real good housecleaning and that means across the board.

Where California is concerned, are you aware that the Labor Commissioner is appointed? It all depends on who the Governor is. Maybe the Caliofornians here should spend some time reading the record.

I cry and pray over folks like our OP. I see it every single day.

There was just a study finished that showed the top states in the US efor Busineses. Texas was on top, California was on the bottom.

When I was young, California was on the top. If Businesses cannot survive here, jobs will dissapear.

Wake up California. This is what the future holds for workers.

This may be true, but the Bible says when a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, God will make even his enemies be at peace with him.
