Love it. My only groips is that near the end of the game, I was a god. I could mow down dozens of enemies with ease (including deathclaws). This could of course be a testament to the addictive nature of the game, as I had the best armour/weapns etc.

Also, the moral choice aspect is to white and black. I missed the greater depth from the moral ambiguity in games like Mass Effect.

^ Did you get Lincoln's Repeating Rifle? And I share your frustration. At least the DLC is supposed to expand your level cap and allow you to play after the ending.

Oh, and for PC there is a mod that still lets you play after you play. So PC owners, GET THIS MOD.

And whadda about that Mass Effect? That's my favorite game. It finally beat Morrowind and Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Can't wait for the second one.

I was really looking forward to it but I found it quite a big disappointment tbh. I usually love the whole post-apocalypse genre, of books, films, everything: I find the ways in which we perceive the human race as adapting after such an event very telling.

But I don't know what was wrong with this. It was well made, and enjoyable enough, but it just felt...hollow. And the end to the main quest was just pathetic IMO :p

It's good, don't get me wrong, but if you've played Bethesda's other offerings (esp. Morrowind. Awesome game), it's hard not to be disappointed.

I really want to play Mass Effect but I can't bring myself to buy it with all the DRM it comes bundled with. I take it it's a good game? ;)

Well, I didn't really get into Morrowind tbh, but I am addicted to Oblivion ^_^

I think Oblivion and Morrowind were designed to appeal to slightly different audiences. Don't get me wrong, I think they're both good, but there's only one that I've bothered replaying since I finished it, and it isn't Oblivion.

Morrowind just seems to have a lot more depth to me. Oblivion has significant improvements: graphics engine, combat more involving, skill perks etc, and if you could amalgamate the good features of both games into one it would be the best thing since Pong.

This is an unjust evaluation coming from a self-confessed RPG snob, but Oblivion seemed to me to try too hard to appeal to console gamers who have been brought up on a diet of Halo :p

I noticed that as well.

I also miss the ability to become a werewolf :(. O well, Oblivion is still a great game, and alot harder to abuse thankfully.

The above is a link to a mod that lets you become a werewolf in Oblivion. It adds a bunch of other stuff as well, but as it's in modular format you can choose which parts you don't want to include. It's pretty good by all accounts, but there aren't any specific werewolf missions like there was in Bloodmoon.

Don't know if that will be of any help, but I thought I'd mention it anyways ^_^

I have the Xbox version, so boo :(

To bring this back ontopic, Im finding Oblivion to be more fun that Fallout. This probably cause VATs made everything a cake-walk.

(As someone said above, the Deus Ex games are similar, and in some qualities, way better than Fallout 3.)

I have two gripes about Fallout 3. First, the game is way too gory (to the point of being repulsive at times). Secondly, it didn't have a climax. Just as I thought the gameplay was getting rewarding, the lame ending snuck up on me.

Otherwise, it is an excellent game.
